Boot-up time, ye can agree with its importance. I use my old HP bench DMMs or even some sovjet-bench DMMs (all digital) quite often, as they have like no boot-up time at all (or just a sec) :D
Hi! I appreciate your reviews. I also do reviews on Polish YT channel (Metrology). But I lacked information: what are the mathematical functions? What are the display modes? What is the actual measurement frequency (VM comp output)? How can you trigger a multimeter? Accuracy is not everything...
is the input impedance also why the display on my hp 3457a jumps around when not being used? i always wondered why it did that. the manual said it was normal but didn't get into the why.
Stray electro magnetic fields, radio and all sorts things can induce voltage differentially in leads. Specially when there is a near open circuit at the meter. If you short the leads it will be dissipated as it has a path to balance it out. I have a 3478 myself with a very high input resistance/impedance and see the same.
@@KerryWongBlog im asking if the device's negative input lead is at mains ground potential like most of oscilloscopes are. The device is mains powered so there's a difference to battery powered multimeter, unless there is a small isolation transformer inside the device to power it or something like that
@@za_ozero Unlike oscilloscopes, bench multimeter's inputs are all isolated. The multimeter common input can be floated to +-500Vpp on this meter according to the spec and labeling on the front panel.
Thank you for such a detailed review of the UNI-T UT8805E bench multimeter, very professional and useful!

Thanks, I was considering one of these. The fan noise though... And it doesn't seem to be temperature dependent.
Yeah, the fan is unfortunately on the noisy side and is constantly on.
for 400€ or so, that's amazing performance... it's crazy the world we live in these days. Yeah i'm old... :D
It should present ESR measurements and inductor measuring, too.

I tried to cover as much as I could in this video. If there are interests in these features I can demonstrate in a separate video.
good measurement considering its price. at 15m22s, 0.020nF=20 pico Farad ??
Yes 0.020nF is 20pF and not 20ųF. I am shure the creator know as well and did speak out wrong. This happen to me also once in a while.
@jorggradert1854 I thought so.

Earth magnetic field, and other electro-magnetic disturbances, which surrounds us. Even if a vehicle passes your house, you can measure that. 😂
They forgot to type one 0 (zero) in the AC BW spec.
Did you verify the input impedance?
I think you would have shown what a mediocre instrument this is if you'd compared it's performance to the ut-61e+.
Teardown please!
It's coming!
Is this device floating?
The inputs are isolated if that's what you were asking.

teardown! thanks
