Thanks for diving into this meter Paul! What an awesome piece of gear. I share your enthusiasm for the UNI-T Bench DMMs. They seem to have a way with them. It runs right down through the line too. I purchased an 8803E a while back and was so impressed by it that I re-organized the bench around it. A more modest device than the 8805 for sure, but it has the same over the top solid functionality within its class as the more expensive models do. Similarly impressed by the UNI-T bench meters! Looking forward to part 2 on this guy. - jrh
$489 is a steal for the features in this meter! I would love to see the desktop software for this along with the WIFI connectivity (is that a thing with this meter)?
Thanks! This is a real meter. There are many 50k 60k multimeters that are very very close. However, the LSD is usually wrong. 😎 Great video and I like this 5 1/2 multimeter.
A common misconception is that "since an ac multimeter is true RMS, its sinewave accuracy specifications apply to all waveforms." Actually, the shape of the input signal can dramatically affect measurement accuracy. A common way to describe signal wave shapes is crest factor. Crest factor is the ratio of the peak value to RMS value of a waveform.

I have an 8804N (available now as 8804E) 60K count meter which has been rock solid for me. UNI-T makes great bench meters.
Damn nice multimeter, far beyond what I need.

Interesting, I am curious about it's PC capabilities. Can it be controlled through a PC/ display on a PC out of the box?
Wooo, real niiice!
Crest Error? Yes please

😮😊😊😊🎉😊
Lucky bugger. OK since they all have ethernet, when are you going to network them all ?
