However, by leaving said cycle he'll also leave those he's grown attached to so he's chosen to be cold towards them not only to protect his own personal feelings but also theirs's knowing that his time there is limited.

Most definitely, I haven't played FF1 but from what I know you don't actually find out anything about Garlands past, you literally fight garland "kill" him and then when you fight Chaos you realise that Chaos is actually Garland merged with the four fiends. It would be super cool if they somehow tie this to dissidia as well.
@@ygo900 Garland didn't merge with the four fiends, but with the four elements of nature and that created the four fiends. Chaos sends the fiends to the future, and the fiends send Garland to the past, which creates the time loop. FF1 ends when the players restore the power to the crystals whose power gets drawn to the temple and the portal to the past is created. When the light warriors go to the past, the newly created fiends are there, they kill them to prevent them going to the future and then kill Chaos, thus breaking the time loop.

I don’t know why but seeing Jack sit in the throne at the end made me kind of sad 😔 I have a feeling this is going to unexpectedly have a lot of emotion.
once sinatra started playing i knew this games gonna be a ride
I’m not knee deep into the game yet, but I’m loving it so far. The combat is amazing, it’s basically Final Fantasy Nioh. If they had spent a little more time on the graphics, then people would probably talk about this game more.
It feels like it’s been ages since we’ve gotten a badass protagonist
Why is this making me cry? This game was not a game I cared about 10 minutes ago! It makes me mad that I cried, but also excited.
Will this be a resurgence of 90s-early 2000s Squenix? Lord knows my blackened heart needs it.
@Michael Harrington imagine being that guy that ruin people fun and joy in his comment section. give the guy chance to enjoy the trailer, to tell people he is happy with it. like you said only time will tell the game will succeded or failure, but not today not right now.
Now I'm 100% certain that this is Jack/Garland's backstory.
He literally said it out loud in the second trailer, we knew that for certain already.
Nomura vanity projects will never be canon to anything.
The devs said so months aho
@@ygo900 Garland didn't merge with the four fiends, but with the four elements of nature and that created the four fiends. Chaos sends the fiends to the future, and the fiends send Garland to the past, which creates the time loop. FF1 ends when the players restore the power to the crystals whose power gets drawn to the temple and the portal to the past is created. When the light warriors go to the past, the newly created fiends are there, they kill them to prevent them going to the future and then kill Chaos, thus breaking the time loop.
As crazy as this one seems I am super excited for it, I really enjoyed the demo and looking forward to how this all turns out!
10/10 trailer, this game is gonna be a masterpiece.
>masterpiece
lol.
@@aindoria Hey, what's so funny?
A B-tier masterpiece
It shall stand shoulder to shoulder with it's equal metal gear rising
I love this trailer. Way better than what we were shown last year.
This should've been the original trailer.
I’m so happy to see the four fiends are back!!
Jack listening to My Way is the brilliant thing ever
Bringing back the original concept of final fantasy (kind of like 15 did which is nice) minus all the teen drama. This is shaping up to be an amazing title.
i was never a final fantasy fan but final fantasy 7 remake made me like this franchise im playing ff 15 rn and its great too im excited for ff16 and this

I know this is likely a Behemoth, but the wings really make this beast look a lot like Nosferatu Zodd. Would love to see a neat little Berserk reference after Miura's passing.
Goosebumbs after seeing Jack listening to music through his phone then looking at the camera. Could be a sign of Jack breaking the fourth wall?

This nostalgic moment is so powerful, unique. It has been 34 fuking years!
This game is looking so incredibly over-the-top, and I say that with adoration. I can't wait to play it.
The protagonist is an absolute omni-Chad for Final Fantasy character and I am all here for it because
Diversity.
You have to go back.
Aight, this games ending is gonna make me cry for sure just like FF15. 👍
I am definitely going to love this game.👏🏻
Does he still want to destroy chaos in this? Is it still his mission to destroy chaos? Chaos is a very evil person.
He needs it
Is anyone else crying right now?
This game is beautiful despite its shortcomings and flaws.
Honestly forgot this game for a bit, but this trailer already pretty much sold me on getting it. A very interesting take on the original FF that I'm 100% down for. Now I just gotta get my hands on a PS5...
Thank you Square Enix. that's what we wanted! love for our beloved saga
I never thought of listening to Frank Sinatra in final fantasy. Hope they make it canon
Makes me happy people giving the game a fair chance now I still remember seeing the beta and everyone saying they were unsure but now seeing how everyone is now and how the game is they really took everyone's issues with the game to heart hope this game does well
Take into consideration the ppl not giving it a chance are not watching and commenting here
@@Yoni123 I played the beta. And the game was just nioh 2 so i don’t assume anything special but they seem to be polishing it. Don’t assume something without seeing everyone’s reaction. The dialogue is still so bad though lol
@sk It isnot but why would i buy a game exactly the same as 2019 game.
@@Yoni123 Some are, some aren't. This is the internet.
@@gamerforlife3946 nononononono strangers of paradise is a whole different game than nioh it’s more on the ninja gaiden side when it comes to the pace and magic and everything
Final Fantasy IP is older than most people commenting on this channel. They have really built a solid foundation.
When it showed the warriors of light looking out to Cornelia, I knew at that moment that this game was gonna be something special.
I'm a total stranger to FF, but watching this makes me a fan of the franchise immediately. So excited about the game.
You should play Final Fantasy 1 on the PSP to prepare for this, it's a prequel/remake of that
*Stranger* of Paradise.
Purely for the love of the franchise…I’m going to keep my pre-order
And here we go, no one learned from Cyberpunk 2077.
It literally costs you nothing to wait for reviews to come in
@@HanDaimond I learnt that I got a full refund. No harm no foul
@@HiLoMusic Play the game by yourself so you can decide if you like it or not. Who lets other people define what they like? Reviews are useless.
@@patrick22014 what a dumb take - as if you can’t discern the qualities of something unless you sit down and wiggle the joystick yourself - you can easily gauge if a game is for you through citing a number of reviews and averaging the impressions, then you use the other half of your brain and figure out if the qualities people liked and disliked are up your alley.
That's interesting, usually "My Way" is used to show you have no regrets and everything turned out in a way you can accept. Here, it looks like the song is chastising him, showing him the results of doing it his way and all the destruction it brought.

Wow! That was fantastic! Preordering now! I mean it’s Final Fantasy!
What a great trailer I've watched it a number of times now.
Jack = Garland = Chaos
Ash = Lich
Sophia = Marilith
Jed = Kraken
Neon = Tiamat
That was bizaare enough to make me consider a purchase. Bravo Square!
