Personally I love TF Metallic Mauve, but I understand why some others don’t! I tend to build my eye looks with mattes and then layer shimmers on top, so I prefer sheer sparkly shimmers to pigmented metallics. I don’t mind if a shadow is dry as long as it sticks well, which these did (used my fingers to apply the shimmers). The result is this beautiful purple “daytime smoky” look I can see myself wearing again and again 💜

With respect to the TF quad, Metallic Mauve is indeed a misnomer - for CAN$120 (plus 13% tax) I want every shade to be visible and to stay put on my eyelids for the entire day. I just received my Ysl and boy do they dry down fast. I watched a few reviews and definitely need to apply to the back of my hand first and do 1 cheek at a time. However they are the most long lasting cream I have in my collection! I need that for my busy 10hr days at the hair salon. I did get the fuscia shade and definitely will pick up the nude you showed. Probably easier to work with.
Ginger from Merit is one of my favorite lipsticks from the brand. It was kinda surprising it took them a while to release this nude-ish/peachy shade on that formula. I prefer much more than Slip tbh

I like Mae but Jayne was too concealer lips on me. I have Pamela and Naomi in an RMS cart waiting to see what they look like on you! I haven’t seen anyone swatch those two or wear them yet!!
I ordered the YSL blush in Lavender. I’m hoping to use it with the new Fenty Cheeks Suede Waterproof Powder Blush in Violet. The Fenty blush is very pigmented so I’m hoping this will tone it down and balance it out a bit 💜

It has more of a white base like a true pastel. A lot of other lilac blushes end up looking just kind of pink but for someone that wants a true lilac tone, this one actually works for that

I recently got a few Vilette Fr eye paints and Petal bouche - pigmentation is insane and despite reports i don’t find any difficult to use. Maybe it is not for absolute beginners but i love it so far. Will be getting a few more colours soon and am very interested in your thoughts about the brand. 😘

Your reviews are impressive - always honest. I agree with you about the TF eyeshadows. I'm not impressed. Personally, I like the Dior and YSL palettes much more and they're less expensive. I bought the new Dior blush and will keep it but I don't think it has enough pigment. Love, love, love the Dior foundation stick. I will definitely purchase the Merit primer and new RMS lipstick.

I have blindly bought over a dozen mid-tier and drug store bronzers... but none of them have my heart.... so I am trying to find the RIGHT ONE! I am light / light-medium -- neutral/ cool... but the winter is coming, so I will definitely be light and I really want a bronzer with a pink hue, like you have been sharing with us! I was looking on the Sephora site for the Dior stick foundation in 3.5 N and they didn't have it even though it's shown in the swatch pics also the bronzer stick shows up 2 shades with the same number so idk which one I'm getting if they both have the same number beside them even though they are different shades. I was going to jump on the TF quad but I told myself to wait because I don't like glitter and even though it says metallic in swatches it looked glittery not metallic so I decided to wait and I think I am glad I did because I don't need more expensive quads that I only use a few shade in. I really wish I got the Violet satine one I think I would like that one a lot more . Everything looks beautiful on you good or bad.
I find it interesting that this palette is very well received by Chinese people, especially for the glitter and the color story being cool leaning. This palette doesn’t seem to be doing well for US folks though, haven’t even seen many people doing reviews. It’s also interesting to me how the crème formula was really hated by Chinese people and they rejoiced the return of their regular powdery formula. I’m not sure why
I saw 2 good reviews from Western YT so far. The palette looked beautiful on both and the formula seemed to be good as well. I definitely see it working best for fair or light skin and you definitely need to like toppers. East Asian make up is very much about softer buildable pigment like this and sparkly toppers. Mauve is also a very popular color family especially in spring and autumn. The palette is perfectly timed.
I don't understand how TF still charges $$$$ for a quad that is mediocre - IF you like glitter. I wouldn't touch this with a ten-foot pole, let alone pay nearly $100 for it!
Some people think if they put expensive stuff on their face and they walk on the street everyone is supposed to know that they used Tom Ford🤣when in reality no one knows or cares what brand you wear or put on your face besides you.

The dominant color first half of this year is blue. Heading into fall and holiday appears purple or variation colors. Looks like the merger of TF with Estée Lauder has been up and down, hit or miss on some products. Wondering about new formula lipstick from Tom Ford going to be.

I never drank the Tom Ford Koolaid. I just never got into the brand. And, since Lauder now owns it, the quality seems to have dropped. Thanks for showing N1 in the Dior stick. N2 is sitting in a Sephora box in my foyer waiting to be returned. Too dark. I really needed to see yours. Plus Nude Lavalliere in the YSL was of interest. It looks lovely on you. I have the Pillowtalk from Charlotte and just hate the applicator. It's so messy and the product is thick, so hard to blend out. This one seems nice and is beautiful on you. Hi Sofia, If the new Holiday eyeshadow quad from Tom Ford will have the same formula like this one I will skip it. For around $160 (Australia) should be much better than that. DM concealer looks a bit yellow on camera but maybe in real life it’s ok. The YSL blushes are very sheer and liquid/cream blushes are not my cup of tea anyway. Regarding RMS maybe if I will born again I will buy something from this brand but not in this life for sure. From your makeup today I like the Dior foundation stick and the bronzer. I think you should return the lavender liquid blush. You literally cannot see it and what’s the point of this photo? It’s like white lavender , it’s not even a deeper lavender that lighter skin tones can wear. Very strange decision in my opinion.

I find it interesting that this palette is very well received by Chinese people, especially for the glitter and the color story being cool leaning. This palette doesn’t seem to be doing well for US folks though, haven’t even seen many people doing reviews. It’s also interesting to me how the crème formula was really hated by Chinese people and they rejoiced the return of their regular powdery formula. I’m not sure why
I saw 2 good reviews from Western YT so far. The palette looked beautiful on both and the formula seemed to be good as well. I definitely see it working best for fair or light skin and you definitely need to like toppers. East Asian make up is very much about softer buildable pigment like this and sparkly toppers. Mauve is also a very popular color family especially in spring and autumn. The palette is perfectly timed.
It could be that the Chinese market prefers a softer and sheerer shadow? Toppers have been very popular this year also
I don't understand how TF still charges $$$$ for a quad that is mediocre - IF you like glitter. I wouldn't touch this with a ten-foot pole, let alone pay nearly $100 for it!
I know there are other people who like it, but personally I wouldn't pay the $95

Some people think if they put expensive stuff on their face and they walk on the street everyone is supposed to know that they used Tom Ford🤣when in reality no one knows or cares what brand you wear or put on your face besides you.

@@hardshell9236I prefer luxury makeup because of the superior formulas and packaging. I don’t care that no one else will know I used luxury makeup. I really doubt that most people who buy luxury makeup expect strangers to be able to tell they used a luxury product.
The dominant color first half of this year is blue. Heading into fall and holiday appears purple or variation colors. Looks like the merger of TF with Estée Lauder has been up and down, hit or miss on some products. Wondering about new formula lipstick from Tom Ford going to be.
Just watched your fendi video and am dying to know what you picked up. But also, for the merit stick concealer/foundation. Do you find it would be too drying for dry skin? Reviews are mixed and I’m curious if it would work for me or not

I don’t understand why Tom ford Keeps changing the formulas?? I love the crème and the wet/dry, but the other ones are so hit or miss.
I never drank the Tom Ford Koolaid. I just never got into the brand. And, since Lauder now owns it, the quality seems to have dropped. Thanks for showing N1 in the Dior stick. N2 is sitting in a Sephora box in my foyer waiting to be returned. Too dark. I really needed to see yours. Plus Nude Lavalliere in the YSL was of interest. It looks lovely on you. I have the Pillowtalk from Charlotte and just hate the applicator. It's so messy and the product is thick, so hard to blend out. This one seems nice and is beautiful on you. Thanks for the video and good luck with your brush collab. Esum is a great brand. You must be, deservedly, very proud to be working with them.💚
Agreed, even at CCO outlet prices I just think it’s very meh. I’d much rather buy some Surratt shadows for that price.

If the new Holiday eyeshadow quad from Tom Ford will have the same formula like this one I will skip it. For around $160 (Australia) should be much better than that.
DM concealer looks a bit yellow on camera but maybe in real life it’s ok.
The YSL blushes are very sheer and liquid/cream blushes are not my cup of tea anyway.
Regarding RMS maybe if I will born again I will buy something from this brand but not in this life for sure.
From your makeup today I like the Dior foundation stick and the bronzer.

I think you should return the lavender liquid blush. You literally cannot see it and what’s the point of this photo? It’s like white lavender , it’s not even a deeper lavender that lighter skin tones can wear. Very strange decision in my opinion.
