Scarcity of certain notes enhances the pressure on money of Free circulation currency. If it is made scarce the people turn to alternate (informal) modes of currency. Really top rich would enhance hording of currency bundles actually. They may even do business to make it available, charging for the service - making it another money spinner.
Nothing comes 'free'. Cards (credit & debit) is a sure way to earn some percentage (1% is good enough as the amounts involved in lakhs of crores of rupees). Whatever be the height of Black Money mountains, at least money transactions are very 'free' as cost of the currency notes, circulating them, keeping track (accounting) of trillions (= lakhs of crores) of rupees is borne by RBI (owned by the government & so the people owe its running) that now is gradually is going into the hands of "Card" companies which are owned by Western countries. Fountain head, of most black money is (political) "party" system. It takes cash equal to the budget of India to run the parties & fight elections - all paid by the people (&they refuse to admit it). Why people are blind to this irrefutable fact? Those winning elections (at high cost) have to settle the accounts through their actions in the Parliament & other legislature bodies & is the breeding ground for all kinds of scams. It is "business" & the biggest Indian business. At least I don't believe anyone coming to me to say that he will "abolish" Black money. It is too naive. I am not that naive.There must be other methods to discourage formation of Black money. Find them out.

in the past i do have lot of respect on rushi , some on ntv - its bias to congress , but that is ok. lot of false news and no explanation ,if why demonetization failed. 1 = at present currency issued is more than at the time of demonetization , so digitization with american orders did not succeed.. 2 = rupay transactions promoted by india with india servers has more transactions than visa & master card in india ,now. 3 = patem ,is loosing money2nd year in a row & to loose at least 2 more years. 4 =before the time of demonetization 500,000 cores of currency did not come into banks. 5 = none of the buggers like you or even left intellectuals explained - why all the money came back = due to help from employees,relatives & most important bank officials & benami accounts. 6 = at least now tax officials can go after these accounts. 7= raguram rajan, under whose watch, the non performing loans were given (& ? reddy) & manmoham singh , none of you buggers raise even little finger against them. rajan critised modi, & adviser to congress manifesto of 2019y. yellow journalism, pays in sales & jobs to left intellectuals. 8 = government restricted cash transactions, which go through audit. 9 = 500,000 smi were closed. still goods availability did not suffer -- why ? = these are bogus companies, rotation tripping to show high sales & loans from banks got closed due gst payment for faud transaction, no longer profitable. 9 = 300,000 siute case, post box companies are closer, may be more. please check, if wrong excuse me, i am a physician in usa with love for both india & america. if there any truth in these of these 9 ,please say so in your ntv courageously - not fear local political bosses & conquer your likes and dislikes.
