I think the US should have capsule hotels everywhere. It's ridiculous how you usually need to spend at least $60 or $70 for a cheap hotel/motel room that usually isn't all that clean and possibly has bugs. A $7 a day room might even be able to help very low-income people who can't afford to rent an apartment, but do have some sort of work or income, from becoming homeless.
I love travelling, even just through the US, and if there were capsule hotels here that would be a dream come true. It would allow me to travel so much more, and allow for a really cheap way to do so.
I think it just needs to be noted, that living in one of these may be possible if you're desperate, but just because it's cheap doesn't make it smart: there's no storage for anything, nowhere to store clean or dirty clothes, you need to keep them next to you, there's no place to store food, you need to dine out unless you plan on keeping food next to you and attract bugs, there's nowhere to do laundry, there's no place to bathe or shower, the restroom is shared by a lot of people, the "door lock" isn't very secure, there's not a lot of privacy, it's a box without any windows, and you're restricted in how you can sit, kneel, recline, or move around. Living in one of these may be possible, but it would challenging and inconvenient.
@@jaystackz3425 _"why would they help low income people when they can charge them 2k a mont"_ Who is "they?" I never said anything about anyone helping anyone or doing anything to be virtuous or provide charity; I think you're misreading/misconstruing what I wrote. i prefer the 7$ one. Its not exactly because of the price. It looks better, cooler, futuristic, and it has the right amount of space. The second one i think it is to small with so many things for a small space. Kind of claustrophobic to me, and you cant go with more people. That option its more for one person or two. In the first one you can go with your friends and each one has its own capsule. ( its just my preferense )

A really fair point. But it’s essentially a smart tiny home. It’s still well worth the price, especially if you don’t want to ever live in a 1-2K+ apartment or leased full size house.

@@Vandicoup I mean, yeah, the generators and nice and all, but it's 175$ a night (over 5k monthly). You can get a nice, 3 beedroom apartment here for 2000€ a month. So it's only really good for a small vacation.

Personally, I would give value like a 7/10 for the more expensive capsule because even if they give dinner and stuff it isn't a reliable source of housing (like long-term). At max like a 8/10, but then again nice video! Also 5/10 for the low capsule annenities is pretty bad cause like they gave you headphones and toothbrush which normal capsules might give but you forgot this is really cheap.
