I think the US should have capsule hotels everywhere. It's ridiculous how you usually need to spend at least $60 or $70 for a cheap hotel/motel room that usually isn't all that clean and possibly has bugs. A $7 a day room might even be able to help very low-income people who can't afford to rent an apartment, but do have some sort of work or income, from becoming homeless.

I love travelling, even just through the US, and if there were capsule hotels here that would be a dream come true. It would allow me to travel so much more, and allow for a really cheap way to do so.

I think it just needs to be noted, that living in one of these may be possible if you're desperate, but just because it's cheap doesn't make it smart: there's no storage for anything, nowhere to store clean or dirty clothes, you need to keep them next to you, there's no place to store food, you need to dine out unless you plan on keeping food next to you and attract bugs, there's nowhere to do laundry, there's no place to bathe or shower, the restroom is shared by a lot of people, the "door lock" isn't very secure, there's not a lot of privacy, it's a box without any windows, and you're restricted in how you can sit, kneel, recline, or move around. Living in one of these may be possible, but it would challenging and inconvenient.

@@jaystackz3425 _"why would they help low income people when they can charge them 2k a mont"_
Who is "they?" I never said anything about anyone helping anyone or doing anything to be virtuous or provide charity; I think you're misreading/misconstruing what I wrote. Motel and hotel owners can still charge whatever they want for their full-size rooms, capsule hotels provide a different service to a different group of travelers at a different price.

The $175 capsule included dinner and grocery vouchers so that was not bad value. I love the idea of a small cabin with the solar and air power.

i prefer the 7$ one. Its not exactly because of the price. It looks better, cooler, futuristic, and it has the right amount of space. The second one i think it is to small with so many things for a small space. Kind of claustrophobic to me, and you cant go with more people. That option its more for one person or two. In the first one you can go with your friends and each one has its own capsule. ( its just my preferense )

It was my first ever capsule experience and heck it was so nice to have your own space after months of traveling 😊 I'd totally do that again, capsules are great!

Something I think would come in handy for capsule hotel nowadays is a wireless charging port. Yep the $175 one would, or should be called a suite rather than a capsule as you don't have to get out to go to the toilet that is a hotel room.

      Both are terrible ideas.
Homelessness is solved with these methods.
Universal Healthcare providing birth control, in general, universal Healthcare is drastically better.
Preventing overpopulation, for some unknown reason, theres humans who just breed and breed and breed. It's suspicious. Especially since they can't ever afford to support 2+ kids, and some people work very low paying jobs and somehow have a home, a car, everything else and never fail. It's suspicious.
Granting government provided micro housing that is inspected monthly, if a human fails to maintain hygiene they are given mental health evaluation + facility life. Potentially job provisions in enclosed communities where they are ensured basic quality of life, home, hygiene, and basic entertainment.
Allow for voluntary suicide with medical assistance, humans aren't slaves and they die anyway. No one goes to hell for suicide, when they are in hell they will commit suicide.
Capsules wouldn't be great for Homelessness UNLESS they were enforced to maintain proper hygiene and medical needs. I've seen people live in disgusting conditions even with jobs and that absolutely has to be changed.

  • @skeertifyshorts6021

Personally, I would give value like a 7/10 for the more expensive capsule because even if they give dinner and stuff it isn't a reliable source of housing (like long-term). At max like a 8/10, but then again nice video! Also 5/10 for the low capsule annenities is pretty bad cause like they gave you headphones and toothbrush which normal capsules might give but you forgot this is really cheap.

This was pretty cool/nice, I don’t know what a capsule is used for but they are interesting and amazing.
Honestly I don’t expect people to stay in a capsule for a whole year, honestly staying in the $7 one for a week or so it is a good deal and I would 100% do it, staying in the $175 one for a day pretty good deal or a week worth it.
The thing about this is in a average normal home you pay at least $6,000 a year for a $500 monthly pay.
For a year the $175 capsule cost to a estimate of $64,000 a year.
    The $7 capsule cost to a estimate of $2,600 - $2,500.
I don’t really know what a capsule is used for but it was really nice/cool and I just started to think of the cost if it’s that much every day.
