  • So... A little drill chuck again.
I know it's a matter of use and how much you will spent if it's a hobby.
    But ...
It's better to buy expensive and never regret afterwards. Than buy cheap, and regret every time you use it...
Albrecht simply offer the best performance/lowest runout, best surface/knurling, holding/clamping strength and smoothness....
Llambrich is the second choice. It's way better than the Röhm, have better runout and finish.
Röhm as many seems to recommend, or had years ago, lacks quality and runout. Arbours are made in China and have poor grinding.
    Low holding/clamping strength.
Again, it's a matter of use and need. But a Albrecht will offer you highest quality, for lifetime almost. Perfect runout, you can even use a reamer in it. It will clamp perfectly and be easy to loosen again.
It's not sponsored, it's just my personal thoughts 😁💪

I recently bought an MT3 "Evermore" drill chuck from my vender Livetools. It's a Taiwanese chuck and I was quite surprised by its quality. Cheers, Aaron.

Have you tried Ceratizit drill chucks? I will say they are in line with albrecht but somewhat cheaper

That didn't look like a Rohm Spiro to me. You can't compare apple's to oranges.

Never said it was a spiro.... It was to show high, medium and low priced chucks. A spiro is more expensive than a Llambrich, but isn't as good. So that's why I didn't mention it. And yes, I have several Spiro's. Best regards

@@OmeMachining Oh okay. I thought you were comparing three high quality chucks. I'm pretty sure the Spiros are German made but I don't think the Supra's are anymore. But I agree, you can't beat an Albrecht.

@duanedickey7043 no don't worry 😊 the Spiro has guaranteed 0.05mm runout, Llambrich and Albrecht 0.04mm. So yes it's close, but still not same build quality and smoothness. And therefore Llambrich is a better buy for less money 😊
