Well, I've watched a dozen pallet picket fence videos and everyone stripped the pallets. Watching yours was like an epiphany, simple yet brilliant and half the work. TY.
can you please do more pallet conversions? Chairs, benches, ect? Your videos are far superior than most online. Thank you for spreading proper knowledge. Carpentry is becoming a lost art...
Working on some pallet projects tomorrow, a couple dog houses, an I'm eventually will do this picket fence across my front yard, and a driveway gate also! You can also build a 8 ft privacy fence for your back yard, I will be doing that one too one day, I work in a business district so free pallets are everywhere!
I am a retired bench joiner/ cabinet maker by trade. I must say your video was truly entertaining, inspirational & creative by nature, i thoroughly enjoyed it, along with your witty humour, thank you Sir, you are a true gent!
Wow. So I've been addicted to watching your fishing videos lately. I'm trying to rehome a dog a need to build a fence for cheap. Search into youtube how to make a pallet wood fence and you come up!! Can't escape you! Crazy coincidence. I'm not complaining. Love your videos.
Neat trick with the pallet cutting. You brought a smile to my face - and reminded me a little of Bruce Forsyth. I like your common-sense approach. Thanks for sharing.
I built a shed out of pallets and hand to dismantle them with a prybar and hammer. I now have to get a fence put in the front of our property. Oh my god, you just saved me so much work.
And this is exactly what I've been looking for! It's a a good base for a small gate that I'm off building this afternoon. A nasty wind ripped out my old one that I had made out of some old furniture panel, so it needs a good replacement so my chickens can't go wandering off in my backyard. ^^ I have a few pallets laying around behind the shed anyway, so they'll come in pretty handy. Thank you, sir!
Love your humour, and personality, awesome instruction, thank you. Just got hundreds of pallets for free, now im gonna make a picket fence around my whole property to keep the pig from running over to my not so friendly neighbours house. THANKS SO MUCH. Subscribed!
Love this video! We have been on a tight budget trying to fence in the front of our property for our 3 horses. I think instead of making the points on them I will just leave them flat so the horses don't poke themselves. And with the pallets being raised off the ground a few inches or even a foot it'll be tall enough plus look absolutely stunning! Thank you so much for making this video! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
Wonderful.....! Simply wonderful ideas for saving the planet. You are a wonderful teacher as well. Wishing you long life and health to continue your voyage!!!
your videos are far more interesting than those plain old dull videos. love to see some more. and you repurpose the pallet to the best use down to the smallest piece of wood so nothing is wasted!!!
I have just stumbled upon your site, TAFishing to look for ideas for making cheap/strong picket fencing for 'my garden'....I am aware of picket fencing ideas using pallets..but you have enlighted many other uses that I worried I may not discover...albeit your posting is since 2012, this is fabulous to learn from. 'cheap as chips' and the colouring, is another new thing I've learned (spray marked). I' have a place near my office that I'll consider shortly. I love your fun manner. Keep it up...I may even tune in for fishing ideas...
I cant fish although I like to eat fish! This video was brilliant, mainly because you are such a cool guy. Great thing to be teaching people how to best use resources that come for free anyway. ROCK ON
Thanks a million for this video, I have been through loads of useless videos on this subject and am over the moon to find that My favorite DAD from TA outdoors has all the info that I needed all a long. Totally awesome video!
Its quite satisfying when you see it done.Glad you liked it.Look out for our new film for ladies with tips on how to unblock a sink.Should be on our Totally Awesome Fishing site next Monday.
I have watched all sorts of video's of how to dismantle pallets and it is so refreshing to see an idea that doesn't require the dismantle. Absolutely charmed by your video 008! One quick note, I would have kept the border whole and planted right in the box off the back of it. Makes a great planter that comes with it's own border! Cheers to you!
You make a totally Awesome daffodil. The tips you've presented are awesome and I've me a few new things I can do to the excess pallets I have after making a pallet workshop and raised beds.
Once again, you have struck gold! I love to save money, and to reuse stuff! The only problem, my wife saw this video, and guess what I am going to be doing in the spring! thank for the video, please keep them coming.
Lady with allotment and reluctant hubby so this was a fabulous solution for my allotment fencing, now just go to find the tools in his garage, do you think he will notice if they go missing LOL. Seriously thank you for such a clear an informative video, cant wait to have a go this weekend.
very good video and very easy to follow this a very cheap way of building a fence for a veggie patch or a small dog run and pallets are only 2 euro in the garage up my road , and ill defenitly recommend this vudeo to my wood work teacher overall 10 outta 10 stars well done
Thank you, thank you, thank you! ! ! I cannot tell you how much I appreciate this video! You explain everything well and you're a pleasure to watch. I just love your sense of humor!
Excellent .....my reciprocating saw is coming in the next few days My pallets are waiting and you have made this so much easier than I was going to make it . Thinking I needed to pull every board off and I don't have to now Subscribed Thanks for posting this great vid
Very good presentation. Very helpful to this type of job. About to use pallet wood to build a picket fence. I have already made raised vegetable beds and a log shed from pallet wood all thanks to U Tube videos like this. They have given me confidence to have a go. Thanks for all your advice on this video.
Helpful tip for foggy glasses.. put a dab of dish soap (like dawn for example) on the glasses, i do both sides so theres no chance of them fogging up. Rub with a paper towel until theres no more dish soap residue visible, helps to have a few paper towels, one to wipe the soap everywhere and 1 or 2 more to wipe off the excess. And your glasses wont steam up for a long time!! Usually a couple weeks, at which point, grab the dish soap again :) dish soap has worked better than any product I've bought for fog on glasses. Thumbs up if this was helpful 👍
I have watched a lot of pallet fence videos and this one by far is the best! I love how you use the reciprocating saw and make the template to make it more symmetrical! I am excited to get my fence going now! thank you for sharing your knowledge and skills with us!
What a great video, my wife and I were only saying the other day about having a Picket Fence well now you've explained it so well that I'm going to have a go at it. Thanks so much .
Your a fantastic guy! Very interesting all the things you can do with everything you have...your humor it is great and your funny aswell.Loved your video! THANK YOU SO MUCH !
I would use pallets to make a Halloween Huts, cutting shingles out of them, to place over the roof and the sides to make it look more like a house and Christmas Mangers, with a loft, ladder, and a stall for the animals. Once put together, I would tie down hay, on the roof hanging some and also put the hay inside the manger. Very Lovely! This is awesome! Thank you for sharing.
I dismantle some of the pallets to get the thicker posts off the back which I use for the stakes. Most pallets will have thicker posts beneath the slats to take the weight of whatever they are carrying. I use them full length, hammer them in the ground until level with the back support you want to nail them to. You can make them any length you want. Cut an even point so they hammer in evenly. You might need to clear a start hole if you have hard ground. Good luck.
What did you mean when you said ( at my age i dont think so????).. yiu have a long way to go my young friend great video thanks you made my planing a lot easier
You are awesome, had I only known how easy it was for me to do this I so would have. I did it the hard and long way. Will try again, this time your way. Thank you.
Wow! Thank you so much. ive been head scratching for weeks about this one! Your delivery and instruction is very charismatic informative and intuitive. Thank you so much for helping me build my little castle. In admiration and with grateful heart and pocket, Chris.
I think I can do that....you gave me a chuckle or two & loved the video as I am working on a fence at the moment.Like the ideal of the "flower boarder", how cute! and kindling scraps for my outdoor firepit, fantastic!
I've been struggling for days trying to take apart pallets and put them back together again to create picket fencing. Thank you for the video you have saved me loads of time! I amanged to create a punch of fencing in just a few hours where as it was taking days!
Any reciprocal saw will do the job.Or a sharp hand saw if you are energetic. My recip was a Macallister MRS800.I also had a Ryobi.I use them small logging for the log burner.Occasionally you might need new brushes after a lot of use.
Love your video. I was planning on fencing in my dog area and did alot of Web searching for the best way to do it with pallets. Your ideas were the best for ease of dismantling the pallets to overall design We did have to buy the pallets because they have become a hot product. Even though it's still cheaper then buying fencing from retail Thanks again
wow! I'm just amazed by your ingenuity. I've been wanting to try working with pallets and I've seen other projects, but you made this look so easy, PLUS, you didn't waste a thing. I love that, and how it is being all put to good use, and with a little elbow grease,.....its FREE,..the best part. I really thank you and since you've shown how to do it,...I'm starting out looking for pallets and I have all kinds of ideas! Thanks again,...from,...christina
