The Overlooked BTS Album | A Video Essay

  • I’m really tired of people acting like it all went downhill for BTS since the release of Dynamite when literally BE exists. So, I made this video which explains the meaning and intention of BE and the reason I think it’s an important and great body of work while also providing explanation why so many people seem to overlook it or don’t care for it.
I hope you enjoy this video which was intended to be much shorter but oh well, maybe it will make you forget the horrific reality we are living in for one hour. And of course, please share your thoughts on BE in the comments!

For me, BE is one of their best albums. In time, it will become a classic.

The response towards the 'BE' album is a good way to find out who the hypocritical ARMYs are. Since most say I used to be an ARMY or say BTS is no more 'sincere' after the English songs when the BE album is the most organic, and closest to the thoughts of the boys. And also since every track was so heavily produced by them. Even more than usual including the vocal line. So I always fail to understand how people make up with such conclusions of lack of artistry, when they are the most unabashed to say and experiment with subjects and not give it huge mvs and still be fine with it.
Even Namjoon expected better from ARMYs as he said I don't know why life goes on didn't get the hype that the rest 3 songs did. And the boys said it's because Iit doesn't have a choreo. So they know. And yet yall say all they want now is money.

    • @wandering_thoughts
      @wandering_thoughts  ปีที่แล้ว +15

I'm totally with you on this! I hate this hypocrisy and how people just choose the narrative that fits them the best. If you don't like BTS anymore, just say that. But don't blame it on their supposed lack of authenticity. That was one of the reasons I wanted to make this video.
It just breaks my heart when the boys put their all into a project and ARMY's response isn't what they hoped for

I think of BE as a perfect snapshot of the pandemic years. I think it will become a classic as time goes by. It's not always the flashiest song that survives the test of time, imo. I think that, down the road, more people will come to appreciate the message and sincerity of BE.

BE is fantastic, but if anyone insists on looking at it as only a representation of the pandemic then you will forever doom it into a crippling datedness. It should be more symbolic of persevering and overcoming any sort of traumatic and lonely experience that you will have in life (which, as life goes, will be many such instances). Saying that it's only indicative of the pandemic seriously limits the vision of the album and neuters its artistic impact. BE as a part of BTS's discography is one of their most raw emotional representations as artists. There hasn't been as much of a raw album from them since probably their first couple albums. It was made entirely as a reaction to their situation, not as an obligation to release an album for the year. BE in an ideal world probably wouldn't exist.

I adore BE so much!! BTS truly gave us a sincere insight to the emotions and thoughts we all, at some point , experienced during the pandemic. Even now, 260 days later, as the world seems to teeter-totter between “normal” and the new perception of normality, BE has only gained greater value in my eyes. The masterpiece was a savior to many including me. Like I’m serious, I was drowning in assignments, trying to keep up with my school work, when I found the album on my desk. It was a gift from my parents for the determination I had to push through those hard times. So I can truly say, BE was there at my lowest point. I am glad that the messages BTS was trying to convey to armys was heard by me at least, I hope in the future many more are able to reflect and give it the recognition it deserves. Thank you for the video essay, and consider me a new subscriber

I know people like to hate on dynamite, but that song means a lot to me. It came out on my birthday on the first year where I wasn't able to celebrate it, it gave me a very warm feeling and brought me a lot of joy on a day where I was expecting to be very sad and lonely. I love that song

I have just found your channel. This is such a good video, and yes BE is so underrated for all of the reasons you stated. I use to get so annoyed when some ARMY would comment about BTS, their english songs and becoming too westernised, forgetting it seems, that this whole album exists! But now I think BE will become a gem that people who appreciate artists and do deep dives will find and be gently blown away by.

  • @sybelj8116

This is so insightful. I will be one year ARMY next month and lyrics are so important to me. BE is not my favorite album, but I generally listen to it every morning before I start going through playlists. Life Goes On is not my favorite song, but I can't wait for that to start the album. I have the piano sheet music for it and play it a lot. (This does make it sound like my favorite, doesn't it?) There is a lot of comfort involved and I just like it. Of couser, you know so much more now than you knew then about what BTS had planned to do after MOTS7. Because of the pandemic, we have BE, the three English singles, the Billboard #ones and the Grammy nominations. Their break did finally come so they could do the military, just two years later than planned. My first comeback was Proof, so I have to say I am so grateful for all of it. I do enjoy their solos, so much. But Bangtan Sonyeondan is what I like the best. Thank goodness for Be. Thanks for this video.

Thank you for making this video. Honestly, you just made my day😊💜

BE is not my favorite bts album of all time, but it's definitely one of my top 5 favorites, i find so much comfort in it and appreciate the vulnerability, sincerity and care that all the members put into each of the songs, i can't finish expressing how much i adore BE! it's so sad that most people tend to overlook it, not because of their personal preferences, but because they think that their albums or songs should always have huge production and preparations behind it or that they should sound and look like the average kpop song for them be good or captivating. BE without the BU stories and without high quality music videos or hard choreograhies is already a really good album with some of the most relatable lyrics, touching messages and a very cool production! i love BE sooo much!💜

Thank you for such an in-depth analysis. I, too, have sensed that the first half of the album centered around 'grief', and then from the skit and onward, the second half reflected 'hope' - akin to your thoughts on loneliness paired with togetherness. I think it's a work of art that is significant during this period in history, but it will also become a classic even after the pandemic is over. BTS just knows how to encapsulate the human experience which makes their message, their imagery, and music, universal and timeless.

I was also annoyed when ppl kept saying "BTS is only doing English songs". Obviously, those ppl didn't listen to BE. It is one of their best albums. The lyrics and music are amazing. Also, no one seemed to talk about the part when Jin looks back at all the members while they are riding in the van in the "Life Goes On" MV. I always thought that symbolized Jin being sad because he was supposed to be leaving the members in Dec 2020.

I really love BE, I think I only don't say that it is my favourite album because I simply can't, I literally can't choose between their albums. I love them in different ways and the same goes to BE. It's full of comfort, friendship and sincere thoughts of the members, showing how they confide and rely on us. During the pandemic, it felt like I was just away from my friends for some time ("spring always returns") and as if BTS were saying that we were their friends, as well. BE holds an endearing message. No wonder its songs were at my 2021 wrapped (honestly, 2021 was way harsher to me than 2020 and 'blue and grey' and 'dis-ease' were especially necessary for me to overcome difficult times).
I truly wish people would pay more attention to it since it's full of a genuine passion for art, contrary to people's degrading commentaries of them losing their essence or earning for Western validation.

Hi! My friend, Arlynn, brought me to your video and I must say how well thought out and meticulous you were in making this video. I love it! Sadly, BE truly is overlooked and underrated but because it wasn't meant to compete aggressively in the industry, it really was made for ARMYs... Finding BTS during my darkest moment in life is something I'll always be thankful for and their release of BE album really made me feel seen and loved... truthfully, I never coped well with pain so when I first listened to Life goes on and Blue & Grey, oh man, my heart sank... so Telepathy was always my go-to in this album. 🙌

I remember the day of BE's release pretty clearly:
In the morning I watched the MV of Life Goes On and I cried my eyes out as it was such an comforting and beautiful song.
Then, after school I was able to listen to the whole album.
I was lying on my bed, and you know what? I cried again while listening to blue and grey.
In the evening I went jogging with my little sister and we listened to songs like Telepathy and Stay during the sunset.

BE is one of my favorite BTS albums, even more so than MOTS7. It got me through the pandemic. It's strange how a Korean album did a better job of relating to my feelings at that time than any English language album ever could. Telepathy, Dis-ease and Blue & Grey are also in my Top 10 BTS songs (or at least Top 15 because they have so many great songs lol).

I've only been an ARMY for a few months and your video really shocked me. I realize that I was missing the point until now and that I was going in circles without ever going in depth into the lyrics of their songs. I started to cry when you talked about Whalien 52. I thought I understood the title and the meaning of the song but actually not completely and it completely speaks to me, I'm not super young (I'm 27) but I I always felt like this whale and I always called myself 'the alien'. For as long as I can remember, I have always felt outside of this world, like no one could understand me or really hear what I was saying.
BTS is the very first group I stan. Before I listened to songs without even looking at the lyrics, without even trying to understand their meaning since I mainly listened to songs in English and/or French (which is my first language so voilà). Even though I looked for the translation of several BTS songs, it's not a usual exercise for me and until now it didn't bother me but now I think I'm really stupid... I mean, they are known for having great lyrics full of meaning, with hidden messages or puns, etc. and I've been listening to their songs for months without bothering to dig. I think as a baby ARMY we all need to watch these kinds of videos + the Boracity videos.
I have to catch up on a lot of content and with my way of thinking it's all or nothing, so I know I'll spend many and many hours watching/reading it all. I mainly watched certain live performances like MAMA and MMA, Tiny desk, and others. I also watched all the content like Rookie king, American hustle life, Bangtan gayo, RUN BTS, Bon voyage, In the soop, some Bangtan Bombs, some BTS episodes, some interviews and variety shows (like After school club for example) , etc. To get to know them, understand their personalities. I also watched the Summer package, Winter package, Season's greetings, Festa, G.C.F, the guides to know them, some videos on their hardships, Burn the stage, Bring the soul: commentary, some explanatory videos (+theories) on the BU... I even started watching their very first logs from 2013. But I still have so much to catch up on.
Anyway, thank you for your video, it will allow me to dig deeper and get out of my ignorance! By the way you I think you deserve more followers and this videos more views !

Art and music always reflects the contemporary time. BE album was exactly that - unapologetically raw and real. These were the exact reasons I fell in love with the album so much.
I remember being stuck inside my room and not seeing my mom for 3 months because of covid travel restrictions. I was just doing the assignments and first time ever online classes. Being disconnected with everyone was reality.
The track " Life Goes On " was extremely relatable for me. All the tracks sent the message that I was not alone and better days will come. It felt like warmest hug in the coldest night.

Thank you so much for making this video 😭 it's been over 2 years since the album release and you still managed to make me tear up, especially with the first part of the video. These pandemic wounds are still fresh for me apparently. And yeah I really don't think this album will "expire" once the pandemic's over, I think it's like a photograph, it captures the time perfectly and with enough detail to always make you remember, but it also has room other meanings and experiences.
I think it's a masterpiece. I don't have all the songs on repeat but I always find myself marvelling over how much work, art, and honesty it has. The era was so special (even if simultaneously depressing because we missed Yoongi so bad) and I feel blessed to have been there to witness it (early 2020 army here)
Again, I can't thank you enough for your beautiful and thoughtful analysis 💜

bts could have taken the easy way out and release another song or album full of catchy sounds or fun lyrics like dynamite that would help them more after it's huge success, but they still decided to take the risky way and released an album that didn't sound like as expected at all and that contained all of their vulnerability, their deepest and most personal feelings and thoughts and that had their own styles and colours. they weren't trying to please listeners or fans, they just wanted to make the music they enjoy and send messages where whoever listened to the songs could feel comforted or understood. BE deserves more, i love this album!!!

BE was comforting for me. Especially Life Goes On and Fly to My Room, Stay too. I was in a moment in my life where everything felt like a standstill because of the pandemic as well as other reasons. It felt like I was just floating around and didn't know what I could do to get out of it. Life Goes On kept playing in the background because the sound and MV comforted me, it somehow felt like everything was going to be okay.

    BRAVA. BRAVA.
A very special album indeed. My first BTS album. The pandemic. I was so low. And then, came BTS and BE.
I would have been a fan during WINGS if I had just allowed myself to see beyond the prejudices attached to the word "KPOP". But alas, it was MOTS7 and BE. Nothing can take its place in my heart.

Thank you so much for this detailed and impressive insight on this album!
With your thoughts and interpretation I even feel a stronger connection to the album and songs, especially “Blue& Grey”( Taes quote about mental health: so important and true!!) and “Life goes on” as they gave me so much comfort during difficult times in the last few months. But also all the other songs and how this whole album seems to be structured and how they processed the latest situation- it’s just amazing 😇
After watching your video I’d even consider this album as being one of my favorites so far due to the song “selection” and interpretation but I guess I’m beginning to love everything BTS publishes 🤫

BTS have also mentioned that people tend to not mention life goes on and BE a lot bc they're in the middle of the english singles. But BE was so great bc all of them participated in photography, videography, management, production, writing, etc. I'll always be so thankful they took the time to put out this album when they were going through such a hard time themselves. LGO is a true masterpiece and comfort song.

  • @kkura09709
    @kkura09709 ปีที่แล้ว +2

i think of BE as the real, raw bts album with no direct intention to produce art, like u think of ly:tear answer or her, the album follows a theme and its so art-like but when there's BE the focus is on making songs with not many theories or stories to explore, the songs are exactly what they sound like, everything they say is direct, u feel every line directed to u and its all so clear. My biggest comfort are the BTS members themselves and not some song by them(before BE) , but BE, the whole album is filled with comfort, it feels like the members are present in all of the album(like jhope said, he put what he wanted to tell and not smth bts as a band/brand would say ) in every song and all the memories i have of the album release process are so sweet and dear. I dont have the persona where i talk about something i like anywhere else so this is my first time talking about it, it might be a little lacking and messy. BTS had said they wanted to produce another song like spring day that gives comfort to people and they did so well with life goes on, even when im not reading the translation as the song plays, even the melody and their voices provide me so much warmth and validation for all i had went through during the pandemic. The album somehow feels so fresh everytime i listen to any track of it, it was truly the best for a pandemic where everyday was repeating just like the last, you can listen to BE any time and it'll still sound so different and so new. Stay, dis-ease, blue and grey, telepathy, fly to my room, life goes on, all give u the same love while being such different tracks

    • @wandering_thoughts
      @wandering_thoughts  ปีที่แล้ว +1

I agree what you said about the comfort aspect of this album!
I think however that their intention for BE was also to create art as well, even though I get what you mean how this album feels different in comparison to LY Tear etc. It's just art with a different intention than other albums so far, I think. I don't think that because it's more direct, it's less of "art", if you know what I mean
And it's true, it still feels fresh when you listen to it now and I think it will withstand the test of time for sure!
Anyway, thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment!

It truly is a comfort to listen to it, but it kinda floats in the depths of my mind while most of the other albums will push forward from time to time and I'll have earworms all day. Nontheless there's so much to the album that people overlook. I didn't notice the little greeting from Hobi to his toys until now, but from here on I'll surely hear it every time I listen to the song and it'll bring a smile on my face!!

A death in the family happened 7 hours after BE dropped, so for the longest time I'm still iffy about relistening to the album entirely (especially Blue & Grey). The only one I can muster listening to is Telepathy and maybe Disease. If I had to order their albums from best to least favorite of their's, BE would be in the middle for me.
Music has always been an escape for me and BTS was no exception, so to have a part of my reality affiliated with them still feels jarring. It also didn't help that I went from a high high excited about BTS' album, to a low low so fucking fast that night of their passing...
Edit: On a lighter note my cousin got engaged on the 1 year anniversary of their passing, hopefully to bring a more sweeter memory as they would have been over the moon tickled by this announcement. I'm going to be one of their bridesmaids this December so I'm really looking forward to it! 😊

Even though I have closely followed Bang-tan since James Gordon's Car pool Karaoke and have spent the time since then in the rabbit warren, I resisted considering myself ARMY. It took me quite while before I realized it is essential to read and understand their Lyrics rather than just listen and watch. This is an excellent video and serves well to explain things people can easily miss. I only listen to reaction videos of experts--what ever their field--because their purpose is to inform rather than highlight their own (the reactor's) acting skills!!
I bought a ridiculously expensive ticket to go to PDTD LA. I enjoyed the concert and was glad I made the effort to go, but still did not consider myself ARMY.
Your excellent video has given me a complete appreciation of the extraordinary hard work these members do to produce music for Fans.

I’m new to ARMY so I’ve been slowly working through the discography. I first got into Map of the Soul and I am currently obsessed with the Love Yourself series. Next on my list is the Most Beautiful Moment in Life. I’ve listened to BE and respect it but I haven’t dug into it. However, I do adore Telepathy. But the album wasn’t a priority. But your essay has really opened my eyes to the beauty and artistry that is BE. I will now make it my next deep dive. Thank you. I look forward to your Love Yourself series and I really hope you dig into the recent solo releases.

I actually started to like and stan BTS during the dynamite era but my attention was all on like goes on and idol, I don't why, but at that time, where we were losing loves, it felt comforting, till now I haven't listened to all the song of them, but it's just I know what they mean. I don't exactly look up to the translation 😅 but feel that's it's healing me, giving me energy, not just music but something more. Idk, I never learnt Korean but sometimes it's not words but something above the language!
Idol and paradise have been my faves since the new. It's energy I guess.
Many people say BTS saved them. I would say, they made me never feel in the endless well 🕳️ of sadness.
Even after 3 years I guess, it's more like I am still a newbie to BTS.

Amazing video, you did a great job retelling exactly what BTS was trying to do & say within the "BE" album. 😌 Also I started thinking of something that's probably interesting & maybe a little understandable as to why a lot Armys didn't give the "BE" album much attention.
I don't think it was solely because there was no flashy MVs, hype/sad songs, or storyline related content within the album. Maybe it was because the whole album was yet another big reminder that the world was going through a horrible pandemic that's forcing people's lives to change, some of them forever (like literally losing their jobs & loved ones from it).
Around the time "BE" (the beginning of 2021 I believe), people were beyond over the pandemic, like _BEYOND_ over it. Everyone was so tired of living this life even though at that point everyone became accustomed to it / got used to dealing with it. So I definitely think people saw how the "BE" album was made & was already tired of the message BTS was trying to say in the album, which was "we're all going through this difficult time right now, everything sucks, things might never be the same", which some people inside & out the fan base said "yeah we know, we get it." And I think some Armys didn't wanna listen to the other half of the message in the album which was basically "BUT I promise everything will eventually be okay!", because to some it almost sounded like *toxic positivity* in a sense. (Which in that case some people may not actually know what toxic positivity is lol)
While I do think the time frame they released "BE" wasn't great, I also think the reason why so many Armys gravitated towards "Dynamite" more even after BE released was because "Dynamite" was a song actually made to help _distract_ & cheer up everyone from the pandemic, even for a moment. BTS said it themselves & a lot of fans even said they love "Dynamite" because it helped cheer them up & made them briefly forget about the pandemic. So "Dynamite" did what it was supposed to do, but "BE" wasn't fully able to accomplish what it was trying to do regardless of how involved BTS was in the production for it. It was pretty much just another reminder of the pandemic & not everyone wanted that, which in my opinion I can definitely understand that.
I'm not saying that I didn't like BE because of that, I personally enjoyed the album & took it for what it was: *A Comfort Album.* I also wish people gave the album more attention, but I do understand why people probably didn't give this album the attention it deserved. I could be wrong on all of this, this was all just a sudden obversation just from watching this video haha. Maybe once this pandemic is """over""" people will hopefully look back at the BE album & learn to appreciate it for trying to comfort everyone at a difficult time.

Thank you for your comment, that makes a lot of sense! :) Especially when you consider that many K-pop fans - so many ARMYs as well - are drawn to K-pop because of the escapism. And BTS addressing current issues totally goes against that.

This is a super thoughtful essay. I loved BE when it came out. It was the right album at the right moment. I struggled so much during the pandemic and this album helped me so much. It carried me when I was lost and gave me a sense of community, Especially 'Life Goes On' still has the power to make me tear up, even in 2023.

i LOVE life goes on. not only is it a ballad for ARMY but i think everyone can take something away from it.
recently two of my family members were admitted to the hospital and one is now in hospice care and the other is awaiting a transplant that might not come (or might pass away before he can even get on the list). when i’m feeling the grief more than usual, i feel like i can’t go on anymore because i can’t picture life without one of them (let alone the both of them). but the song really helps soothe me and reminds me that life does, in fact, go on.

I am so incredibly sorry for what you have to go through! I can't even imagine what that must be like. I'm wishing you and your family all the best!!
It's so beautiful that in all that grief and fear, you're able to find some comfort in BTS' music. I hope that there are things you can do to distract yourself from all this.
      "I can’t see the end
      Is there even an exit?
I can’t, can’t move my feet forward, oh
I briefly close my two eyes
      Here, hold my hand
      Let’s fly to that future"
I hope there's a hand you can hold.

BE was hit or miss for me. Life Goes On, Blue and Grey and Dis-ease are some great tracks. Fly to My Room is alright but the autotune and higher vocal range they forced on Jimin is slightly unpleasant. But the production on Telepathy is overwhelming (not in a good way) as well as autotuned to the max. Stay is a decent enough EDM song but it sounds like your average EDM song with a basic chorus that doesn't draw me in. Dynamite is a fun and optimistic closer so I won't bash on it as it's a catchy and pleasant to listen to. The lyrics on the album (as with any BTS album) is the highlight of the project.

Interesting take! I can definitely see where you're coming from. LGO, Blue & Grey and Dis-ease are my faves, too. And I totally agree, the lyrics are definitely what stand out the most in the album!

Well finally I watched it all and let me just start by saying you did an excellent job in making of this video👏👏💜
It's not a long time since I became and army it's just over an year, I am a dynamite baby and I have been listening to music and have been fan of many artist before bts but to be very honest I have never seen something like this and have never felt something like this ever before the bond, simply mutual feeling of respect and love bts and army has can only be felt and its literally impossible to write in the words
I am kind of person who continously listen to music and always love to see what lyrics means so when i first started listening to their wings was the first album of bts I ever heard after the song dynamite and I was so so impressed by the lyrics and overall music and I just felt into the rabbit hole of bts and it just got better and better from there💜
I still remember the first time we talked its about mono album and till to this very date mono is my comfort place and made me fell head over heals for them over and over again💜💜
When comes to this album its the last album I heard from them and I was impressed by it but the perspective you put over this made me realize its even more special to me now and while I knew what the songs were about but I always enjoy the detail reviews so this video just made me so happy💜 Thanks for making it💜
My fav song of this album has to be blue and grey because it's more of the type of music I am into slow mellow sound and again without any doubt the lyrics holds so much importance to me and this was also the moment I was just thinking like it's such a beautiful bond between army and bts that bts decided to be this vulnerable with us and they know army are their safe place just as bts is ours and they can say something so vulnerable without the feeling of being insecure in any way💜
Life goes on is a great song so is fly to my room and dynamite
My another fav song telepathy it such a banger and makes me happy every single time I hear it
Stay another beautiful song for armies and it makes me so happy and assured and they know we are going to stay with them always and forever no matter what💜💜
And the last song I want to talk about dis-ease to be honest with you I don't like the sound of it like overall music cause its just not my type of sound but the lyrics I absolutely love them how they decided to talk about such an important topic and I love this about bts that they don't hesitate to talk about stigmitized topics and makes us feel at ease that yes we as humans share same problems and makes sure that you are not alone in this💜 And yes the bridge of disease is a highlight of the song and I can hear it repeatedly without getting bored, jimin's and jk's vocals in that is just breathtaking💜
I love the fact that BE is the album specially made for armies, they made this to comfort us, it feels like a special gift from them just for us💜 and the fact they decided to go for homely theme with all the visuals is just made me feel so warm and gives pure comfort💜💜💜💜 I appreciate this album so much💜💜💜
Again for you thank you so much for putting this much efforts in making a detailed video like this on BE, much much appreciated💜 You did an amazing work💜💜💜

First of all, thank you so much for watching the video and for sharing your thoughts! 🥰
I feel like WINGS is such a good place to start with BTS 😍
Haha I totally understand the falling down a rabbit whole. And oh boy, what a rabbit whole this is xD I love how it was the lyrics of BTS that drew you to them, same for me :)
Blue & Grey is one of my two faves from this album, too!
Yeah I get why some people wouldn't like Dis-ease, I personally love the sound of that song but I am in turn not the biggest fan of Fly To My Room for example 😅(simply referring to the sound) But this album still seems to have something for everyone! 😍
And it's true, the album is so special. Thanks for cherishing it with me🤭💜 Making these videos is so much fun and I love to talk about BTS' art, so thank you! New videos are already in the making, although it might take some weeks/ months til they come out because with research, writing the script, recording and editing these videos are extremely time consuming and I want to do them justice😬
Anyways, I purple u💜 thanks so much for being here 🥰

@@wandering_thoughts BE really is album full of songs with various sounds and beats so it's perfectly fine if one person like one song and doesn't like the other because the difference in the sounds is really huge
The thing which really draws me to bts is their relatablilty like how normal they feels, how normally they talk i mean they are huge huge celebrities but for armies it's they are really just our 7 boys with whom we had made a precious family
All the topics they talk about in their songs is so important and gives us so much comfort. Seriously there is nothing like bts and armies it's one in a billion relationship
People usually look down upon them and in the beginning I used to fight each and every hater but now I really don't waste any energy on unnecessary and illogical hate they get
I have finally realised i cannot control the hate they get I can only give them infinite amount of love so they don't get too upset for the hate, they are fully assured the they have armies right behind when they so
Joonie saying that they needs to get more involved in making of album and this is the reason why people look down upon them cause they think bts is not involved in their music which is total lie and they needs to work hard breaks my heart because really I have never seen such a hardworking group in my life and grammys can really go to hell
There is no one like bts and our precious boys deserves all the love in the world💜

I got into BTS in 2018, but I stopped keeping up with them in early 2020 due to a combination of a natural decline in interest (I can never be truly obsessed with something for more than a couple of years straight, new interests always take the spotlight even if I don't stop loving the old ones) and a terrible mental health situation. I'm doing better now and am back to keeping up with their work, but I'm always going to be a little bit bitter that I didn't listen to BE when it came out. I think maybe if I had, the things I was going through wouldn't have felt quite as heavy.
