Finally a quint where the new one is the same or even better than the previous formula! It gives me hope that, as they release new quints, we can look forward to some with excellent performance!!! Unfortunately it seems we have to wait and see when they are released which color stories perform well and which don’t. (Whereas before you knew they all performed well and you were just deciding what color story appealed to you.) But still-I’ll take this win!
I think all brands, including Dior and Tom Ford, are slowly running out of colours. And the only way to come up with a new pallet is to give it a nice name and slightly change a combination of already existing colours and here we go, here is a new one! I recently pulled out all of my pallets, and was shocked to see how many colours are repeated in so many of them-especially in Tom Ford collections. Still love them and still keep buying them, God knows why but hope that someone will come up with a very unusual and absolutely new colour, and slowly losing my hope. Thank you for purchasing those and sharing with us! Very good to see those real skin swatches rather than just on computer image on the screen. Thank you❤
I think it is more them taking less risks, meaning not wanting to spend their money on making products that may tank. They are playing it really safe with colours they know can sit on the shelf for ages and can be sold two seasons from now.
Dior is a luxury brand & there should be consistency in quality for all their eyeshadows. It seems it's hit or miss depending on the colour story & I think they're too expensive to take the gamble.
Stunning, Jennifer! Fabulous review, as always! I've been lusting after the Dior bronzer in Shade 4, so I think I am going to finally get it. Thank you!
That look is stunning. I didn’t get black bow and was looking at this one but was a little hesitant because the new formula seems to be getting hit or miss reviews. Thank you
Thank you Jennifer for this video. I was wondering if pied de poule is any different from black bow. I didn’t like black bow because, the black shade wasn’t dark enough for me, and I didn’t like the shimmery satiny shade for the transition area. I will skip this palette 💕
I love the Black Bow quint. I shan't be getting the Pied de Poule but it is reassuring to know that the new "clean" formula is holding up against the old one. I don't know why, but I don't have a Dior bronzer - that's unusual for me! I hope your husband complimented your eye look, it's beautiful 😍 Much love to you, 🤍💕🤍💕🤍💕🤍💕🤍
Hello ! I find it difficult to understand Dior's commercial process of replacing existing quints by new but identical ones... I will not buy what I already hold... So I only picked up plum tulle and khaki which are new colors' combinations. I was about ordering silk earth at Dior's when it suddenly disappeared, I saved my money finally. I am interested indeed to see your demo with amber pearl but anyway, it's not available in France yet (if ever it is...)
The literal translation of “pied de poule” is “chicken foot” 😂 which, if you think about it, makes a patterned imprint. Prints similar to houndstooth go back 4000 years. There’s a nice explanation on the Dior site about his adoption of this type of print. So interesting that this new palette formula is better than some other palettes in the new line. It doesn’t seem like there is consistency across formula, because the rosy shade here is a matte and it’s fine, right? Where some mattes have been patchy. And there are shiny shades in this palette that are fine too, where in other palettes shiny shades are not so good. I wonder if the color pigments are a factor?

Yes I see the same and I'm tired and bored of it. No point buying multiples of the same thing especially if you don't actually use them up.

Jennifer that is a stunning eye look!
Thank you for reviewing. Black Bow is one of my favorite Dior quints.😊
I didn’t get black bow, so I’m glad it’s the same in pied de poule. Thanks Jennifer it looks beautiful on you, I must get it.

I have gotten two of the new Dior quads and I have been enjoying them. Anything without talc is a good thing and safer for us.

I had this on in the background and thought I heard “pee the pool,” 😅
I did too 😂

Actually I was listening with the closed captioning on when my son was sleeping and those were pretty funny...
It’s fairly close!
@@Allfeisty Agreed. But reading pee the pool was funny!
Pretty look. Thank you for comparing and sharing.
I have the old black bow.
