I have two different experiences with Revv products. I first tried with the G4 pedal plugged in front of an EVH 5150 III 50W (clean channel). I tried with an EMG 81 on a KH white Zombie, on an EVH Bumblebee with Wolfgang pickups and on a Gibson Les Paul studio with a 498T. I tought the pedal got a problem because even with the distortion maxed the sound was weak I asked for an exchange and it was the same with the new pedal. So I asked for a refund. My second experience is with my Revv Gen 7-40, which is a hell of an amplifier, with lots of distortion, lots of agression. In short, the opposite of what I felt with the G4. On the other hand, all my guitars with passive or active pickups are always connected to the passive pickup input. I still don't know what the problem was, because every time I hear someone playing on a G3 or a G4, I can't recognize the sound I got with the 2 G4s.
@@gral9440 that’s really strange. Sounds like you had bad luck with the pedal twice. What a coincidence. I only tried an amp of theirs once and it was fantastic, just like this pedal now. Makes a lot of fun. Thanks for watching and your comment. Much appreciated! ☺️
@@MaxPowersTastyTones now I have a dedicated poweramp for preamp/distortion pedals, a KSR PA50 which works very well with all my preamp pedals like CERES, NATAS, Heavy Hatchet… Maybe one day I will try again with a G3 or G4.
Wow, nice Pedal. Subbed for more
@@AlexanderGhezzo thanks a lot! Much appreciated! 🤘🏻☺️

@MaxPowersTastyTones the G4 is more "classic" rock rather than a modern tight pedal like the G3.
bro, new g3 g4 really sounds like a tube amp? because we can hear tons of harmonic from gain. you like it a lot?
@@rinatdautbaev1065 it‘s absolutely crushing and a lot of fun! 🔥
