Nice video, thanks for your awesome content! I'd like to share the "A dive into Jolla App Support" article which shows someone using Sailfish OS's Android bridge into postmarket OS, with functional notifications, MPRIS, etc...
Wow, good observation. I would say the battery indicator is pretty accurate, though I haven't done extensive testing. Waydroid does use up quite a bit, since it runs in the background container. Also in the video the phone was on full brightness the whole time. It is possible to stop the Waydroid container when not in use to preserve some battery life, but it has been an issue on Ubuntu Touch as well.
@@__nemesis__1571 OnePlus 6t has good battery life compared to other phones I have used. It depends on the physical state of the battery. On custom OS, the battery will vary depending on background processes. I am planning to do a video on battery life. Sorry I don't have much more info.
Yes, hopefully more devices will be supported. You can try getting in touch with the community and see if there is any other interest in the device: wiki.postmarketos.org/wiki/Category:Community . Right now it doesn't seem to be on any lists.
You're right, the camera is not working on Plasma nor in Waydroid as a result. Once it is fixed in Plasma Mobile it should work through Waydroid as well.
@@trueAKspeaks I don't think you can do it via recovery, but during installation there is an option to initials a GAPPS image instead of the default vanilla. sudo waydroid init -s GAPPS I will include that when I do the install video. Thanks for the reminder ;)
I was waiting for this :D
Thank you! If there was anything missing that you are wondering, then let me know. I was suprised at how smooth it was. Waydroid has come a long way.
Damn, I just flashed eOS on my OnePlus 6, on which I used to have PMOS Plasma Mobile (edge), just to have fun. You make me want to go back!
Oh! Yeah it depends on your needs. Plasma Mobile edge is marking some progress, but some device functionality is still limited.
eOS or DivestOS? Thinking about doing a dual boot on my OP6

Thank you for the kind comment and article recommendation. I'll check that out. It sounds very intriguing.
Amazing, but 81% to 75% battery in 6 minutes is not good. How accurate is the battery meter?

Curious why you went with KDE Plasma Mobile for Waydroid.
It was just to test it out really. I also have tried Waydroid on Ubuntu Touch, which works nicely too.
How is the battery life overall in OnePlus 6t device?

@@CyberPunkEdu please do, postmarket os battery test or smth
I have a Redmi Note 11 Pro somewhere, I hope it gets supported at some point.

Can waydroid access the camera of the oneplus 6t? Actually can plasma mobile even access the camera? I seem to recall camera support was broken.

can we install gapps into this?
I mean flash the same via recovery!

using android,flash linux,using android inside linux 🤯
It does sound quite strange/intriguing in that sense
I don't have a phone that supports PMOS so only watch the video... :(
Thanks for watching the video. PMOS should only improve from here, so when you do have a device, it will be even better :)
