I have spent 10 years trying to figure out what this series was called, I remember seeing it on YTV and the only thing I really remembered was the credit sequence.

So thats what the end sequence was meant for? That was a clever marketing element. I always thought there was more to the end sequence and you hit it on the head.
I never had the toy jets but always wondered if they really worked with the ending video shooting at the targets and getting shot at. Can anyone confirm?
To me it looks like a fusion between Terminator due to Machines rule the world and Centurion; Power Xtreme because Jonathan Power and his crew's primary weapon is the Power Suits. I don't get why some call it Star Wars rip off. If there was Force Ability and Lightsabers in this show, then and only then it can be called a rip off. The only common ground about this show and Star Wars is the story all came from a distant future with a lot of high tech gear, military planning and that's it.
I made the sound of throwing up to taunt the movie director Tim Burton, thus causing him to turn down 133 million dollars, from directing the 3rd Batman movie sequel. It's a misfortune of just how fast, 'Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future,' has lost popularity. Even though it was another indirect 'Star Wars' rip off. & besides no one can outlive 9 centuries, like the way Methuselah did. Since Methuselah lived 969 years on this earth. 🙏
Captain power was air on GMA 7 in the Philippines back in the 80's. Then after GMA 7 they air on ABC 5 back in 1995. Then after that they transfer to RPN 9 back in 1996. But the bad news is they never completed due to the stupid Mexico of Acapoco a stupid Mexico drama before the stupid mexico drama marimar. A bad year of 1996 here in the Philippines. Anyway Captain power is the best television series of the 80's long before Power rangers using sentai footage
