    [Trigger Warning]
Her music really shows Sia’s battle with her own mental health. She has suffered from intense nervous breakdowns every 5 years, as well as her fiancé’s death (he was ripped in half by a taxi as it ran over his brain stem on his birthday, before they even got a chance to get married). She also suffered from severe depression, drug addiction, trauma, sexual abuse at age 9, life-threatened by a criminal after witnessing a murder (he looked at her and said “you’re next” after her home address was read out in court), watched her schizophrenic neighbour end his life by jumping in front of a train, an abusive father with dual personalities, a broken family, parents' divorce, severe loneliness, toxic fame and Grave's thyroid disease (in which her eyes and thorax swell up, her voice deepens and she gains 20 kilograms, making her sick and lazy). She also tried to kill herself twice in her earlier years, and very recently had a huge existential crisis and suicidal ideation due to her complex PTSD and divorce from her sociopathic husband in 2016. Currently she suffers from body dysmorphia and daily chronic pain due to a neurological disorder, migraines, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and Cubital Tunnel Syndrome. Two of her three dogs she’s had for decades also both died in the same month in 2019

    • @MentalAmanda

Wow! Thank you for sharing her backstory. I had no idea. How powerful that she has overcome so much. Aside from my story that I share (depression, sexual assault, losing my parents, addiction, self-harm, etc), I also lost my three precious dogs of 17,15 and 9 years within a year and a half of each other, the last being in 2019.

Have you tried doing Ideal Parent Figure Protocol? Sia used that to cure her complex PTSD, addiction and disorganized attachment. Decades of psychotherapy did nothing for her but IPF changed her within months. I highly recommend it because it’s changed me completely too after trying it out!

Thank you SO much for the love and healing. I know now that hurting is human and sometimes we just have to sit with it until it passes. Doesn't have to have some big meaning or anything. Just a phase like the moon

This song is wonderful. Please look more at Sia, she has several times attempted suicide, had acholol and drug addictions after her boyfriend was killed so her music cuts deep. Please listen to...

    Never give up by sia
    I'm in here by sia
    I'm still here by sia
Angel by the wings by sia
    Deer in headlights by Sia

I think this is the most beautiful sad song ever written / performed. Sia actually tried to overdose on valium the night she wrote this which goes a long way in explaining the lyrics. I see other people have mentioned that she's had far from an easy ride in life despite all her successes. I first came across her as a recurring guest singer for the band Zero 7. They're fantastic, suggest you check them out.

Amanda, Thank you for your wonderful spirit. I suffer from Severe BP myself. I KNOW exactly where you are coming from. I was diagnosed about 15 years ago. As you can imagine I have felt the dramatic swing from 0-10. Know that anyone that has never experienced BP can't truly understand that pain. They can sympathize but to really know that feeling requires experiencing. I love your messages, they are so on point. I watch a lot of reactions and I will say that when I listen to songs about triumph and joy and Love, I find myself walking away with a better perspective. I suggested a video on one of your other reactions and I really think that you would enjoy it. It is by Jordan Smith called "Only Love". Prayers for you and all of us who suffer from this debilitating disease.

I've heard and seen the live and studio versions of this song, and they hit right in the heart, but I just saw this "music video" and your reaction, and pretty much freaked out when she jumped out the window. I was already feeling it, and that just brought tears. I've lost a number of friends by their own hand, and wish I could have been there to catch them.
