I loved this interview and always wanted to hear a more in depth interview with Vero. Her story needs to be exposed more regarding the history that Echo Park Latinos families endured under the racism, police brutality and systemic oppression that was lived prior to 2000s. The Rampart scandal was also something that affected many Mexican and Central American youth that lived in areas around the Downtown LA areas and were stigmatized as gang members. I’m sorry your family had to go through what they put you through but you definitely created impact and fought back. Much love and respect to Vero for her activism and love for her community.
@@beyondtheboulevard4185 Saw it and I loved it! Thank you so much! Please continue to be a positive light in the community for all Latinos and please continue to reach out to our people, and bring to light all the positivity that they're doing in the community. On the real LOL my grandma lived in Boyle Heights most of my life the last time I went there I could see gentrification was definitely taking over I was so freaked out I told my husband "get me the hell out of here! LOL- what the hell is happening to my grandma's neighborhood?!"
