- Tyshae had the dream to live tiny for a very long time. For many of us, we know what we want to do as children, but the world changes our perspective and we give up on the dream. For Tyshae, this was not happening. After leaving California she moved into this awesome Texas tiny home village and lives in one of the best tiny homes I have ever seen.

My son is 22 and just out with his girlfriend. I'm starting to get the ball rolling. I'm looking for land large enough to have my tiny home/RV and a good size farm. I've wanted to do this for a long time. I think I'm more excited than a child on Christmas morning. 😜🤩

I love how she said people are materialistic.. this is true, that’s why we as people always want big houses and it is really not always necessary. She is motivating!
Unfortunately, many of these aren't at all cheap, tho.
Also, I know some folks with really big homes mostly because they grew up in really small ones. So, you can't blame them for wanting something different and if they work for it, they should get it.
To each their own, eh? Nothing wrong with having things you actually use and love. The race to own more and more and keep up with appearances is different but I love my cooking pans, my kitchen aid. Art I’ve brought home from various travels. Mementos from my daughter’s childhood. As I get older, I do pare down but I don’t fault anyone for not being able to live tiny. I’d love to see people who’ve done this for 5+ years(non-COVID enforced).
That bedroom with the skylight and balcony is everything!
Her house is so lovely, cute, and so spacious for a tiny house, specially the bathroom, it's so big! I love this house so much! One day I hope I can own one too!

This is the first tiny home that I’ve seen that actually looks like a real apartment- full sized bathroom with Tub, full sized kitchen appliances, work loft with separate bed space, storage, deck and balcony. Amazing💕

I think this new trend to make the lofts have a place to stand with the shorter stairs is the smartest thing I've seen in tiny homes.

I agree and I'm still fairly youngish (39), I know If I have to take a bathroom break in the middle of the night while I'm groggy I wouldn't be too happy using a latter back and forth.

This is the perfect tiny home. Just the right size, thoughtful layout and design, plenty of storage, beautiful wood, a great canvas to start with and decorate as your own. Love it!!

@@jordanabeaulieu2530 i have watched a lot of videos on tiny homes and there are others that have a balcony or a deck, some right on the roof. the only issue here is you have to crawl out the window to get to it. sometimes we as people think that we could do that or live with that, but then when it becomes an everyday day to day thing our perspective changes. i am not trying to be negative here or to dishearten anyone. its just that after 61 years of life i have become a little bit more of a realist. you have to look at it realistically, right?

This is honestly the most cleverly laid out tiny house I've ever seen. I love how you can actually stand in the bedroom and it has a regular flush toilet.

I've seen people even use buckets w/toilet seats on top. There are canister toilets that you have to dump somewhere.
True toilets seem to be the exception for the more mobile tiny homes.
except we dont know how tall she is. her head was basically touching the ceiling. i am 6'1" and i wonder if i could actually stand up in there? it is a very nice home. to me that is the biggest drawback to many tiny homes is that the "bedroom" is usually a loft that you cannot stand up in. then you have to crawl around in them which is not really doable for someone like me who has arthritis in both knees, ouch!

I gave almost everythingi owned away to begin the rv life, so I can totally relate to the freeing feeling of living light. I absolutely love the storage under the stairs. This place is fabulous!! Such a great way to live 💛

I adore this woman! "I love that there's a lot of space to turn around." "This is my drawer where I store my dried fruit." Heart! Makes me so happy, and I love how she makes that sound totally unintesting and ordinary like everyone has a dried fruit drawer in their home. I mean, I do have a dehydrator for making dried fruit, so I'm not teasing, it's just the sort of thing people look at me sideways about and she is listing this stuff off like it's not at all aberrant.
people have been eating dried fruit for 'a million years,' all over the world. it's not weird at all & a very common & practical way of preserving fruits & vegetables, as you know.
I even remember our local co-op back in the 1970's had an additional shop space next door just for selling dried fruit, nuts + a few other bulk items..& most health food stores + many green grocers still sell some amount of dried fruit. don't let you ignorant friends make you believe it's odd in any way, just because they don't live that way.
& yes, most western households don't have counter-top or larger dehydrators in the home anymore [you & I are surely among that shrinking number]..but many vegetarians, also gourmet & also 'regular' raw foodists do...but then not everyone wants or can make use of them anyway:
like people who live where drying foods is a part of their routine re: survival, most don't use commercial dehydrators, they do it the old-fashioned way re: lack of access or lack or consistent access to such items and also electricity.
but even in the west some doctors still prescribe 'prunes' & 'prune 'juice' to the mildly constipated elder folk [including some of the MD's I've worked with]. because it's fairly inexpensive compared to Rx or over-the-counter laxatives + they're much more likely to remember to buy &/or take it.👍
So many things I LOVE about this place. The kitchen sink, the larger fridge, the windows, a BATHTUB. Very well done!

This is actually the BEST I've ever seen. The most practical rooms - kitchen, bathroom and activities/tv - are very reasonable and realistic. I can see how she fell in love with it and that she has a flow of family and friends who don't dred visiting for a few hours. I can also see how she can have a personal/love life in there as well.

Is it Dallas? Because I think she says Lake Dallas at 9:20 and that’s about half an hour north of Dallas. So I looked it up and turns out there’s a tiny home community in Dallas AND Lake Dallas. I was curious because I’ve lived in both and am currently 15 minutes from Lake Dallas 😊 I think it’s awesome more places like these are popping up.

I’ve watched so many of these tiny house episodes and I haven’t found one that I can picture myself living in until now. This is one floor plan I’ll always remember. Also, I love she didn’t over do the interior and aesthetic of the place. She’s kept it very minimal and natural looking while still looking very lived in and comfortable.

For me, narrow drives me crazy. I have 2 dogs and doorways and narrow spaces are just off-key to me. Because I'll end up tripping on someone.
