I always wish that there was more of a focus on land for tiny houses. In a lot of places in the US, there are minimum square footage ordinances that would prevent you from having a tiny house. In addition, the cost of land can be prohibitive. In my city, land alone is at least $150,000 so it wouldn't actually end up being cheaper to have a tiny house than a stick built small house that was already built.
the author does like to from scratch, shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxD-QRFQz730FJEh4f9BYSf-nkIMIC9hL_ as another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us dont have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we wont be able to practice the full stack project, is still great.
The last one. Would be great to have that as a guest house for visitors. Availability to visit, but privacy when needed.

@@luadraponies Yes,I would think that was quite easily remedied tho'? If I was going to nitpick, which I'm loathe to do, I think I would opt for a little bigger kitchen space, but with a little juggling that would even be possible.

Everything was very unique on it's own due respect for the builders ,but I personally liked the Dome home from Thailand ,it is so Cute, Smart & Breathable to be with a lot of multiple views & multidimensional -Great work Steve ,keep it up and All the Best.

I love the dome home that Steve built. Since he now builds for others, would he consider trying out his creative constructions in Cyprus? Personally, I'd love to live in a home that's such a natural design element of nature and the cost is very affordable! I'm sure the dome homes would minimise the extreme summer heat and will be warm in the winter months... What a challenge!
The dome home and the Boxable are my favorites.
Steve is an artistic, architectural genius. The dome home has so much sculptural composition involved in its design. To live there would be a life inside a beautifully, tasteful, well planned work of art.
The dome home is incredible! It gives me goose pumps. Our home doesn’t need to be all square!
The Japanese concrete house was astounding. It is the work of an architectural genius. I usually hate grey, dull concrete as building material, but here it was sheer beauty in my eyes.
I love both the clover tiny home and home in a box. The clover one offered an important feature, I think the loft is high enough for me to stand up. For someone with a back problem, this is a must. Then the home in a box is also beautiful. I would just probably add a beautiful foldable divider or a thin book case between the kitchen and bed area...

Love the Dome Home. So creative, cozy but spacious at same time. Love the use of the earthy colors and textiles. It's perfect!
I love the Dome House. It was so pretty inside. It also looks like you could add on just one more domed room if you wanted a full kitchen. The lighting was awesome and the stone floors with plants makes it feel like you’re actually in nature. I also lived the little pond outside.
All gorgeous, especially Steve's Thai home.

House in a box. Amazing! What kind of mind comes up with such a clever, ingenious idea. We live in an "instant society". Could this be put in any climate? How well insulated? Does it need to be put on a slab? What about prep for electricity and plumbing? Love it!
Check out their site, and I’m sure on TH-cam. Not only are they extremely energy efficient, but they’re also made with fireproof walls. Genius and so affordable!
Yea the Owners/Creators of the Boxable Tiny Homes were intending to be on a "roll" mass producing these super-efficient tiny houses. When it was first introduced so many people was intrigued by i the concept, which led to many folks signing up that also led to a long waiting list.. I too was very excited by the concept be I love tiny houses.....aahh - but then came Covid, but they should be getting back to full swing by now.

Yes, it's somewhat plain but quite practical and cozy.
The dome home is awesome. So well thought out. Love the oval doorways between the rooms and the deep window seats.
My favorite is definitely Steve's dome home, followed by his unity wagon! Those are my kind of spaces and views. I would like to know more about how the dome home was built. It appears to be made out of concrete blocks but I don't see how you're getting the curves.

The very best one (I think) is the Boxable. However, I'd omit the dishwasher and downsize the refrigerator, and make everything else as simple as possible. In terms of sheer beauty, Steve in Australia takes the prize!!

I enjoyed all of them, but the Unity Wagon is my favorite closely following by the dome home. Would love to work on those types of projects. The box home could be great for disaster relief. I am puzzled why they put giant fridges and king sized beds into tiny homes? Also no privacy wall or curtains for bedroom in box home. With such a small footprint a Murphy type bed/ shelf unit would be practical or at least have the bed on hydraulic lift for storage underneath.

You know the term "enough room to swing a cat" doesn't actually refer to a feline. A cat is a type of whip.
You know that some peole are perfectly aware of that, but amused by the mental imagery of the other interpretation.
This was an ideal of mine before tiny houses were even known, more of a self sustaining eco green cottage with about 10 of them on a wooden property, so we did this and the city shut us down. so glad that it is allowed now.
I live in a 2000 square foot Victorian built in 1902. I don't even know why I'm subscribed to this channel lol.

Isn't this the way many Europeans live? Small functional spaces well designed. Look at the furniture designed from Ikea, there are different levels of Ikea quality,
but all simple and functional.

That requires such big homes.
European and UK houses are tinier than US homes (my entire UK house footprint would fit into the entrance hall of a friend's house in Texas, and she still complains about the small size of her child's bedroom), but mostly not as tiny as some of these spaces.

im not european, im south asian but I've never lived in houses with more than 4-5 rooms and less than 9 people
Agree, sometimes when I see US "tiny homes" and the owners talking about "sacrifices" and having to declutter things, I just think, it's actually pretty normal for Europeans to have this size apartment. Even if we do live in a home, it is also not really big. The rent and property tax is insane in some places, so it just comes cheaper to have a small living space.
I have a large Victorian I would not trade for these little dog houses for anything.
We don't live in tiny houses. Just not as huge as people in the US. Wben someone has 1600sqf (148m2) I would consider that to be more than enough space for a family of four.

The "Casita" house is that by Ikea? I believe Ikea are looking into selling "kit homes" like this one. Would make a great first home as long as you can find land to put it on of course. Great in America where you have loads of space, not so good in cities like London where I live where land is scarce and astronomical in price as a result.
