Pink Floyd definitely changed my life after discovering them at 16 in 88. Had ALL those albums to get to know by heart within a year or two.

I recorded the second part of this interview "an exclusive Rocktober event" off 95-1/2 WMET (The Mighty Met!) back in October of 1980. I recorded it on a Memorex MRX Oxide 90 minute cassette using my relatively inexpensive ($200 in Dec '79) all-in-one phono-radio-tape that were prevalent back at that time so the quality of the recording was rather poor. Add to that it was over 40 years ago! Even though I'm playing it on a Pioneer CT-900 that I fully restored, it sounds pretty bad after all these years. I've searched for a better copy of it on and off for years and was never able to find anything. Thank you for providing all 4 parts of the series - I'm ecstatic to find not only the part I had, but all the parts!

      It's a real pleasure.
I've been collecting audio and videos of concerts for many years now, but also interviews, and I don't find many fans, but I personally find that they are parts of history to be preserved, also to understand how the various ideas of the group members have changed over the years. A pleasure anyway that this interview was useful to you.

However, these are edited interviews, I had to cut many songs or the copyright did not allow me to publish the videos. If you are interested in the full version we can talk about it (obviously for free)

This is from around his first solo album, 1978. Pre The Wall. But still excellent and valuable. :)

I think you are right, strange the broadcast date, 1980, 2 years later his first solo album.

Awesome, thank you fpr posting. It was very nice listening to this interview from back when they still all worked together well. To hear David discussing the recording of Animals as being enjoyable was great.
