To anyone still having issues, there is a somewhat more consistent strategy I found that doesn't rely too much on draws or AI stupidity. Play pretty much identically to the video up until 2:00. Instead of summoning Backup Supervisor, summon Splash Mage. Use Splash Mage's effect to put another monster on the board. Then summon Transcode and Powercode talker like they do in the video. With the extra material on the board, use Powercode to summon Accesscode Talker. This should give you a 5800 ATK monster with plenty of link monsters in the graveyard to clear the board with Crosswipe in the backrow for emergencies.
Bro, thank you for this comment. For some reason my duel is nothing like the one in the video. The CP always gets Master Ogre out turn 2 and other monsters as well and always wipes my board. Thanks to your comment i finally beat this stage after trying like 30 times. Thanks a lot!
Follow the video and youll have material for AcessCode talker. After summon it, yse his effect on a lvk 3 link and his atck will be 5300. Keep using his effect to banish your link monsters to destroy opponent's cards on the field

Been trying to follow this video but the AI keeps going with other move's XD Finaly, never got to link summon any other link 3 monster beside Power code talker, but where able to take out the damned mission any way, thanks for the hint on how to defetat the AI.
I extra linked by turn 3 in this duel. Using Splash Mage, Transcode Talker, and Firewall Dragon goes a long way toward extending your combos to do this, and using Cynet Crosswipe during your opponent's turn (tributing whatever monster you summoned turn 1 with Transcode) prevents them from comboing off and destroying any of your monsters. You also have to get lucky with that first draw and draw something like Cybverse Gadget, but it's still very possible.
Thank god I’m not the only one who was struggling lol, I thought I was an idiot cause I’ve tried 10 times and can’t beat this lmao 😅😂.. also I’m pretty sure the only reason he won was because the ai didn’t summon master ogre turn 1 lol. Every single time he does this and I’m still always losing
I kid you not, I tried this one for like 30 times, and the last time I did, I finally could get a monster above 4300(thought I was safe because the opponent hardly ever places something beyond 2800). I had like 2800LP left, and the opponent had like 1300 and no monsters on the board). I ended my turn, and he then summons a card that somehow decreased my link monster's damage to 1100, and then there was no coming back, I only had useless spells in my hand that I could only use by attributing a non-existent card since it is basically impossible to get enough cards to lin good cards, and also tribute lol. Also, the enemy cards are op for being able to resurrect every card I destroy. Lol
Nice video. The strategies I got working was to just pass turn after the tutorial, then in the next turn use Splash Mage to get the extra summoning, after summon Acres Talker to revive a link monster then transcode to delete the Ogre then attack for game.
My duel had me drawing different cards and the CPU went a completely different route to pull out the great ogre, but I somehow fumbled into a clock wyvern which let me get splash mage and link kuriboh out then pull clock wyvern out of the grave, make AccessCode Talker and it had 4300 Attack so I guess I lucked out and just used Accescode Talker as a beat-stick
So the issues that occur here is both too little explanation and too much overstimulation. These bad tutorials they pop you into a deck that you know next to nothing about and fill it with (in my opinon) junk/unnecessary cards. Like as a new player it's hard to wade through all these card texts on a first go through/not fun to do so! A tutorial should be simple: removing all the extra deck cards you don't need to make it less confusing and maybe using a less agressive opponent deck since you are just learning.
The steps are completely different. In your video, the monster is attacking you. When I play the opposite party, I summon it directly through a direct link. It still looks like this after rewinding several times.
When I copied this move for move....as soon as i get to attack like at 2:43 he activates gouki iron claw from his hand and makes his monster stronger than mine. this didn't happen in the vid here.
bro omfg it doesn't work, im getting mad, the opponent makes different moves, and every time i destroy his cards he dubles them, the AI does different moves
God, these duels are BS. Who thought it was fun to be put against an opponent with a significantly superior deck and the turn after turn see the AI take 5 minutes to summon 10 different monsters and completely undo anything you had managed to do on your turn. This is just a horrible game experience
This doesn't help. The AI is acting totally different for me. It always summons the Ogre, halfs my ATK and then I pretty much can't do anything anymore.
In my case, I set cynet crosswipe, special summoned backup secretary after the tutorial part ends. In my runs, the AI keeps on summoning the 2800 monster, so my goal was to destroy it when it gets summoned. But the AI attacked with the initial 2 monsters. So I ended up activating kuriboh and then used crosswipe to destroy the 2300. After that, AI still managed to summon the 2800, but I kept most of my monsters on the board. I summoned Access Codetalker from here and now I have a 5300 monster and only the 2800 can negate monster effects, so my opponent could not attack me again. Additionally, Accesscode Talker can banish link monsters to destroy key cards, I used it to destroy great ogre once and the field spell once.

What kind of game has a *_tutorial_* that tries as hard as it can to demoralize and destroy you? That said, great video. I'm going through this hell again because I'm helping a friend of mine adapt to the game and to catch up with the current format.
I took like 7 tries to complete this. It really is just AI bricking that let me win. The cards the AI brings out has like 5 negates on your side and its hopeless lol.... It's a nice campaign mission, but I don't know if this should be a tutorial
Same literally managed to negate the card that brings out 2 goukis in defense position 3 times in a row and after the AI did it a 4th time which isn't supposed to happen I knew this was rigged
Wow, it works Wow, it really helped me understand how Link Monsters works! Thanks. I'm not used to Pendulum Monsters and Link Monsters. Wow, me ajudou muito a entender como os Monstros Links funcionam! Obrigado. Não estou acostumado com os Monstros Pendulo e os Monstros Link.
Literally your first move past what the tutorial makes you play made it so the AI changed its normal first turn and made the duel possible, spent 3 hours trying to beat this duel and just did that one link summon you started with and won, i also tested it 3 times in a row and won all three times. F this practice duel idk if its intended to be beat any other way w/o that link monster
The fact that there literally has to be a tutorial to do this because the deck you're given is actually completely useless, boggles the mind that Konami expected anyone to be able to do this. It's a tutorial on how to Link Summon, right? Except we already had that. The only new thing we're learning here is that this deck is worthless, and no matter what you do, the AI will most likely always win unless you do something hyper-specific that has nothing to do with the tutorial. Then again, Konami thought Metal Gear Survive was a good idea, so the odds of them thinking at all when designing this, are about equal to a snowball's odds of staying a solid snowball while inside a blast furnace.
To anyone still having issues, there is a somewhat more consistent strategy I found that doesn't rely too much on draws or AI stupidity. Play pretty much identically to the video up until 2:00. It's a nice campaign mission, but I don't know if this should be a tutorial
Same literally managed to negate the card that brings out 2 goukis in defense position 3 times in a row and after the AI did it a 4th time which isn't supposed to happen I knew this was rigged
Thanks
I cleared it on another account before, but I couldn’t remember how I did it 😂
Wow, it works Wow, it really helped me understand how Link Monsters works! Thanks. I'm not used to Pendulum Monsters and Link Monsters.
Wow, me ajudou muito a entender como os Monstros Links funcionam! Obrigado. Não estou acostumado com os Monstros Pendulo e os Monstros Link.
I havent had a round where the AI didnt summon Master Ogre turn 1, this doesnt help at all.
A totally normal match for a beginner
Literally your first move past what the tutorial makes you play made it so the AI changed its normal first turn and made the duel possible, spent 3 hours trying to beat this duel and just did that one link summon you started with and won, i also tested it 3 times in a row and won all three times. F this practice duel idk if its intended to be beat any other way w/o that link monster
The bot pulled out a way stronger monster they’re first turn for me😭
all this freakin work for a link card I will NeVeR use.. thank you sir!
This tutorial wants you to understand the basic strategy of link climbing using cyberse deck utilizing firewall dragon summon from hand.
I was stuck at this level for weeks. thanks
I understand Xys and Synchro pretty alright but this Link shit is too much
the computer always summons Gouki the master ogre first turn, i dont get it.
Didn’t help me, instead they whipped about a monster with 2800 ATK on their first turn😃
