Not at all! They are both scincidae but fire skinks are Lepidothyris and found in Africa. Eutropis are all found in asia and are a fairly large family of various sun skinks. I don't know too much about how all of the different skinks are and aren't related, but I know fire skinks are little weirdos that lay eggs while most skinks are live bearers.
Bro i spontaneusly got one a year ago ( ofc with a setup ans research) nevere had a skink before but i had other reptiles ( geckos, anoles) And when i tell you This is the BEST pet i have ever had. Shes a Female and her name is indy. You cannot tell me that is a lizzard. Shes up to things like my cat is, jumping around on branches, watching me, slipping off of sticks from exitement, always exited for food like a dog i love her so much I dont handle her tho cause shes fast as fuck

They are SO active! Definitely too fast to handle but always up to some shenanigans
what kind of food did you give them? and how did you get it?
I gave them the smallest crickets I could buy and they ate those perfectly. What do you mean by how did I get it?
