ABOUT THE Simon Phillips ARCHIVE
The Simon Phillips Archive it's a non-monetized channel on TH-cam, the purpose of the content is solely to improving the quality of clips that already exist on this platform and enjoying the music of one of the best drummers of all time in the best quality ever.
I hear and have heard many drummers of every style imaginable; and Simon Philips has a timbre and finesse in his note choices that are not tiring to hear compared to other musicians. Top notch drummer.
Some playing has heart and some players have chemistry. I don’t like fusion much, but this is soulful music.
I've been listening to Fusion since the first time I went to my first Weather Report concert in 1979, this collaboration of virtuoso's is one of the best ever.......you guys are the bomb!
Le titre vigilante , c'est de l'excellence, merci les artistes !
Several years ago, I managed to get lucky and chatted with Phillipe Saisse, he told me about PSP, I bought the album. I still listen to the Music. I think it was the first album, with song Vigilante.
I actually wrote a song in honor of Pino, it's on one of our BlackRoots UNLIMITED albums.
Simon Phillips, I've been watching a lot of him with Hiromi Trio, coz Anthony Jackson is my Electric Bass Guitar G.O.A.T 👌🏿
Greetings from Uganda 🇺🇬👊🏿🖤
Merci Manu, et PSP!
I cannot believe this channel exists. It's precious to have all these kinds of concerts available in good quality - So, thank you very much for this!
Note: It seems like One Shot Not titled all the song names wrong.
This is pure musical gold 👌👍👏👏👏🏆🎵🎶🥁🎹🎸
Experiencia musical de altos vuelos. Tres de los mejores músicos unidos en una gran explosión musical. ❤
Gracias por tu comentario Ángel, un abrazo!
Thank you very much for your talents !!! 👋👋👋
incredible
The most talented musician on earth.
That drum 🥁 SNARE sounds CRISP & CLEAN as a Fried Chicken…!!!👌
Extraordinary all the way.!!! Thank you so much for sharing :-)
Che viaggio il primo brano ahahahahahh grandissimi davvero goduria
Nice 👌
Vigilante is such a cool track love it!!!
That's quite a remarkable audience, too.
I remeber this awesome trio playing in Bratislava! See you soon in Brno Simon! The venue is awesome there🙏
WOW!!!
I felt the same way as Obed at 4:40
Love the Moog synth 🎹♥️
What a pity they dropped this format at ARTE back then around 2011. Manu Katché brought so much cool acts together, Stars as well as “no-names” to play and jam together. These sessions actually inspired me to take up my guitar again after I had lost the love for it for some time and take lessons.
This is the tightest stuff I ever heard
Il est bien dommage que ce trio de virtuoses ne se produise plus. Ce passage dans l'émission de Manu Katché, One Shot Not, est désormais d'anthologie. Personnellement, je ne m'en lasse pas.

The White Billy Cobham
Vigilante is a great track! Is it possible it is inspired by David Paich? A part of the melody sounds like David played live several times on stage.
I believe that first song is actually called Bella’s Boogie
This was in 2009, and I remember David and Steve Porcaro played that keyboard melody together on the Toto reunion tour in 2010. So possible it was the other way around.

Oh man this is the way. Simon has been my favorite ever since I was a kid. And Pino is just in a different universe he's so good. His son Rocco is an amazing bassist as well for Yussef Dayes
where are the backing tracks coming from? I don't see anybody triggering anything so they must be on some kind of playback or another keyboard player.
I attended a PSP concert in 2009, and from what I remember, Simon had a MacBook beside his drum kit, running ProTools (?). I believe he was using that to feed the backing tracks into their monitor mixes and FOH.
