Thanks for watching!
Very nostalgic. Those pulls used to be way more common at least around where I live. I don’t recall seeing any 460s but once in a while, I’d see some 450Es.
What’s weird about the V1971 strobes on these 460s is that they have a flash rate of 60FPM (60 bpm) but they flash at 80 FPM, mine especially. Kinda funky
Rare alarm
It is a little bit
I just woke up🥱 to see this video😮
Same
nice! a really long time ago, i was temporarily transferred to a different elementary school, and they had these, including some spectralert classics. i can barely remember what was over there but it does bring back nostalgia seeing them again. this is also my first time actually hearing them (i probably did before but i might've forgotten)
First comment awsome system test, they kind of sound like smoke alarms.
Awesome! I love Federal Signal! Especially their Thunderbolt lineup! 😊
3:58 they kind of sound like a spectralert classic not gonna lie
Yes but single tone
i was thinking the same thing
Not really. They look nothing like a SpectrAlert
@@aidanthetoiletelevatorfire7554 Its the sound
@@aidanthetoiletelevatorfire7554 That's not what I'm saying, I'm saying that a Spectralert classic is dual tone while the FS's are single tone
wow man, this system is crazy! all i have is an old simplex light plate with some sort of horn that doesnt have any branding/model numbers hooked up to take a milwaukee power tool battery attached to some plywood, i cant afford anything else
SEPTEMBER
I always wondered what those sounded like after I saw one with the horn missing in a NewAgeServerAlarm video years ago, not quite expected, but pretty cool!
Really liking the system! I just put up another video of my io1000 on my channel. It demonstrates how the io1000 can actually do partitions. How I set it up was that I used both new and old EST devices and set the old and new devices on seperate partitions through programming. It’s a cool system with a unique setup if you wish to check it out.
So cool to see an entire system of these 460+V1971's! The only other time I've seen them is NewAgeServerAlarm's System Test 28 and they were configured as remote strobes. Also I think the Gentex strobe really does fit since it's a first gen with no reflector and Gentex probably did make both the horn and strobe for those alarms. A V1971 with just a plate would've worked too, but I'm not complaining.
I like mini horns and mechanical horns! Not really the horn strobes or bells. The mini horns sound like house hold smoke detectors. There like mini versions of the mechanical horns.
I wish I could get some mechanical horn (simplex) =(
*N I C E*
I don't know if it's just me or the horn in the panel room sounds slighty different?
It’s a bit muffled
Maybe
my ear drums lol
Love seeing nostalgic fire alarm systems. Always brings the memories back!
The V1971 strobes are rated for ceiling mount actually. I have a FS speaker-strobs that has one attached and it came with sets of labels for wall and ceiling mount.
That doesn’t necessarily imply that it’s UL listed for ceiling mount operation. The strobe is literally slanted, so I would doubt that it’s rated for that. The stickers may just be standard across multiple models
Nice. Is October’s test gonna be voice evac
Yea
These are not very common. Awesome system test!
1:43 the 1400 is early to mid to late 80s, older than 90s. in the 90s it’d probably just be a SD-651 or 2100
400 series was definitely manufactured throughout the 90s
FINALLY AFTER ALL THESE YEARS!
ive been a fan of these v1071 horn plates
Smoke alarm sound
You should get Gentex WGE Weatherproof Devices because I don't want the MT's to get old already because they been there for a long time and they are softer so your neighbors don't get mad because of how loud are the MT's
The MTs are literally silent
@@FireAlarmDude5967 Did you Disconnected the Horn because they are supposed to sound
You should have system sensor p2rs
At some point
Great rare devices!
So cool! Nice video
System sensor federal signal and gentex are kinda common with honeywell.
Maybe
@@FireAlarmDude5967 indeed. Also I have gotten some federal signal speaker alarm that can also be playing simplex voice evac.
Nice video
Very nice system test 👌
They sound like a sapectralert alert, classic from far away, but up close stay sound like a mini horn
*SpectrAlert not sapectralert*
@@aidanthetoiletelevatorfire7554 ok Ty
Hey
cool
Sounds like a spectralert and a smoke alarm
Kind of
Kewl
Also 14:27 what is bro doing at the acc?!!!??
What does it look like
Are you going to do fire doors for all the doors?
No, only the one right now that would actually do something
Those would have to be 80's alarms as in 1996 NFPA mandated strobe sync. (Dont quote me on that thats just what google said)
Cool system though! Oh BTW did you ever fix that shed pull?
These are 90s alarms. Strobe sync was not mandated in 1996 either.these are not ada compliant with todays standards because they don’t sync, but back in the 90s these were complaint because the strobe was able to reach 15 candela and above
@@alexandersalarms5380 Dang okay
That’s logically inaccurate. If strobe sync was required in 1996, any devices from between 1990-1995 would be syncable and from the 90s
@@FireAlarmDude5967 interesting.. I guess Google lied to me..
This strobe is not a Federal
4:23
Yes he acknowledged that.
13:47 that’s what she said
What?☠
You should do a truealert es system test next!
Those are proprietary
Oh ok
