If you ever run into that issue, you want the docusate drops; they’re literally used in stool softeners too because they just make the wax soak up water, you’ll see some nasty stuff in the shower - but they work a treat after a few days and don’t irritate the shit out of the ear canal like peroxide analogues do

Yeah honestly Wade has done a lot to legitimise/destigmatise special interests (edit: like, for the general public) in 3 short years I feel. He's completely open and honest about what his are, and which ones he completely slides-off, then is unapologetically enthusiastic about them. It's great
I feel that a lot. I have autism as well, and this whole channel has been an "autistic interest" for me. I have been obsessed with mp3 players since I got my first SanDisk in 2009.
Planning on starting a legitimate channel at some point as well, but waiting for the opportunity when I have enough money and the skills to actually start my ideas.

Bernard Purdie is a legend. He would play the venue I worked at in my early 20s and would always ask for soup that was too hot. It was terrible how few people would come out to see him play but it was a small town venue

When you mentioned that there are many specific earplugs it reminded me that I own "partial" (?) earplugs. They only block some of the sound to help individuals who are sound or stimulation-sensitive like those with ASD (like me). I haven't used them to sleep but I do know they have gotten me through shopping through 2 holiday seasons lol.
What brand? Because a friend and I could use a pair like these!!

The shattered glass of the I-M8 brings me back to my middle/high school days when smart phones were still pretty new but widespread enough to be in the hands of dumb teenagers that didn't know how to look after electronics. As a result, it was incredibly common for kids to be walking around with screens that were just completely shattered. The phones still worked in most cases, they would just have ugly cracks across the face so everyone would just keep using them. It was so common that they'd compare how damaged their screens were able to get and continue functioning. I feel like phone screen repair places were also more common back then too.
I don't know if this is still common and I don't see it anymore, or if they've made phone screens more durable, or if people have just finally caught on that they should be proactive about keeping their phone screen in one piece. Either way, interesting. High school isn't really something that I think about a lot, but it is interesting that it was the last time I can recall seeing someone using a phone with a cracked screen.
Anyway, uh, thanks for that blast from the past? Man, its been almost ten years since I graduated.

I tried silaflex 2 silicone earplugs once.
Thought id be slick and cut one in half because they seemed so large.
I learned they were large for a reason 😅
I had to have one removed by a nurse the next day.
It " melted" for pack of a better term while i slept that night 😅
Never used them again.

The Polaroid SX70 segment reminded me of the Polaroid 600 instant-film camera I have. It came with a second device, the Polaroid 600 Plus radio. The radio can be powered by "AA!" batteries or by the remaining battery power in a used film cartridge.
One of my local electronics stores used to sell used Polaroid batteries.
Which wasn't a bad idea, @@gordonwelcher9598, since they'd be nearly-new in most cases after the film in their cartridge was exhausted.

To power it from "AA!" batteries (it's a DankPods video, using "double-A" to would be boring) they didn't fuss with a separate battery compartment.
They gave it a removable "AA!" compartment of the same size & shape as a film cartridge.

that was the 2nd or 3rd result, and I somewhat dubiously clicked expecting it to be half-assed.
then it was a banger and I sent it to a bunch of my pals like "this didn't need to go so hard, especially the chorus". then I binged the entire backlog
I had this same issue, and it wasn't an airplane but tinnitus, so I needed some sound playing to distract me from it. I found that single Bluetooth earpieces were enough with my other ear on the pillow. The single one plays for 10 hours. I had to do this because I had extreme sensitivity when laying on headphones.

Ive got custom earplugs from my previous employer they werent thst expensive £70 i believe and really good. Woukd block out the bad stuff but could still chat. I also have Bluetooth ear defenders by Stihl bloody brilliant nice to have some tunes.
