    Yup.
    Another damn nice video - which I personally have no use for - but the work itself is as magnificent as always. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Big thanks for the effort!

    As always a great job mate. I did use an Steyr reg checker and found them very easy to use. But yours is more solid. As I said great job. 👍

    Nice work mate.
    That Steyr reg appears to be less then stellar.
    I've seen a fair few checked by a digital reg checker before and after a service and that reg seems set a bit high and not stable.
    Around 85 bar has become the norm for most and should be very stable.
    Steyr changed there washer setup a while back, so would be interesting to see what's inside.
    You may have heard of Chris C who services Steyrs, he doesn't like the performance of the new washer layout that Steyr use.
    He certainly wouldn't be happy with that reg, it'll get taken apart and sorted.

    • @sub12airgunners
      @sub12airgunners  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah we took it apart and found a weird washer stack, we put it back to ()()()()() and it worked much better, then we had a look at the top of the piston, very poor finish so that got a little polish and the results were very good now the reg bounces back straight to set pressure with little to no creep, so a very easy fix not sure why Steyr don't do it from the factory, we read a little on the forums and found the 85 bar mark so we set it there, its quite had to find the set pressure without the rifle but at 85 it seemed to work better just on the bench so I can see why 85 is the goto. Thanks for watching.

  • @mrdellski
    @mrdellski 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Very interesting video again. The reg in my Pro X can apparently be improved by a slight rearrangement of the washers (but not the FAC arrangement)... so says Steyr UK.

    • @sub12airgunners
      @sub12airgunners  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We had a little play with this one and got best results with the washers like:
      ()()()()()
      Rather than the stacked configuration. Thanks for watching.

    just a question i hope you will give your opinion on i bought a snowpeak p35 in 22 it shoots 5 pence groups at 30 yards consistantly with 18.13 @ average of 849 fps after about 25 shots it clipped the baffles and destroyed them these are the factory metal baffles in the shroud no supressor. so i made replacement baffles for the shroud out of delrin and put a 9mm hole through the new baffles and after about 20 or so shots it destroyed them so i put the shroud back on with the factory end cap which has a 8mm hole in it and left the inside where the baffles go completly empty and shot one 60 shot group under 5 pence and none hit the factory end cap and i had no flyers i checked the crown and it was off slightly so i recut it in the lathe and the groups after i recut are the same size so acuracy is still there so i made a new set of baffles with a 9mm hole and after about 20 shots a pellet destroyed the new baffles i am lost and it just does not make any sense any help would be greatly appreciated!

      Check the 1/2 unf on the barrel make sure its parallel with the bore, next make sure nothing is coming loose when you are shooting. Other than that I would re-cut the thread on the barrel and make a new shroud that way you can ensure its all inline. Thanks for watching.

    Hi. A query about the PCD. You appear to have drilled a square hole pattern but the reg hole pattern isnt square, its slightly rectangular. they also use M3.5 bolts as standard. So how did you make it fit?

  • @jaytee8188
    @jaytee8188 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Excellent vid Jeff, thanks.
    After the sale of your L2, I assume no more development work for this air rifle?
    Will you continue selling the parts you designed for it?
    I understand the position you took on the L2 1 way bottle valve, sad day for me though as I had already bought the Best Fittings bits! 😉
    I did really like the regulator efficiency side of the plenum plugs you once showed.
    Either way you are a true asset to the air rifle community Jeff and it’s great to see the enjoyment you get from all of this.

    • @sub12airgunners
      @sub12airgunners  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cheers that's much appreciated, the leshiy 2 is a very interesting rifle, but it just wasn't a stable enough platform for accurate operation if that makes sense, great for what it is, but not precise enough for what we do. We are very surprised that Ed has not made his own removable bottle yet, he was very quick to appropriate the other ideas, but I am sure he is working on it so you may be able to get one in the future. The L2 parts we make will still be sold, although no new ones will be added. But we do appreciate the comment, its nice to know people are enjoying the videos. Thanks for watching.
