    great build, but one tip, if you put a chain on the cap, and a washer on the fitting, with the other end of the chain swaged onto it, (making it the same way a cap fits on a fire-hydrant), then you have NO way of losing the cap, and a place to store it, while filling the 'tank'.

    I am amazed that some entrepreneur has not made something similar that eliminates a fill probe that so many airguns use. The only problem I see would be different air tube diameter and thread and it would be nice if the gauge was recessed/protected.

    • @sub12airgunners
      @sub12airgunners  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Foster fitting is the answer, simple, cheap and it eliminates the need for a probe, little less convenient as you need a cap for the fitting, but it works fine. The gauge cold have been recessed a little more however it cut a little too much material for my taste, Thanks for watching.

  • @tillysgunstocks

    Looks mega! I was half expecting the q/f to go at the action end with an angled gauge 😀

    • @sub12airgunners
      @sub12airgunners  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We though of that although that would involve a modified stock, we do plan on having a reg gauge in the bottom of the action though. thanks for watching.

    That’s a beautifully made quick fill adapter . I have a rat works adapter for my anshutz 9015 one ft but have not installed it yet because I like it suppressed and my Donny fl tanto will not clear the extended length of the adapter . What suppressor are you using for your 9015 ? Looks like a smaller diameter than my tanto . Thanks in advance for your response .

    • @sub12airgunners

    Very nice upgrade! The reservoir on my Walther rifle needs to be removed for filling (which I think is pretty dumb) and I was thinking on installing a foster fitting somehow. Hope you don't mind if I use your ideas :) Might I ask where you purchased your valved foster? Locally (Ontario, Canada) I've only been able to find un-valved ones. Thanks for posting! Cheers!

  • @lensman5762
    @lensman5762 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    First class workmanship. My only point is that I would have drilled a small relief hole in the end cap, just in case there was leak fom the filler nipple and that would make it almost impossible to remove the cap. I stand corrected if you had already done that. Great series of videos BTW.

    • @sub12airgunners
      @sub12airgunners  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Someone else pointed that out good catch, I did do that though , just forgot to include it in the vid, its not technically needed though as the threads are not sealed, but as you say it is best practice. Thanks for watching.

    what kills me with all the manufacturers is when they see the improvements you and others make they do not adapt and start using the ideas that other people present that are much better than their design and change the rifles and have 2nd 3rd and 4th generations of the rifle fx does it some

    • @sub12airgunners
      @sub12airgunners  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I guess its just money, they can make the rifles as they are now and still sell them, so whats the point of doing radical changes, I suppose. FX have started to do some improvements like the brass reg piston, we tried that years ago now, so they do filter down but it just takes time. Thanks for watching.
