Good information to know but did not work for me. I was also having to jumpstart the car or had a different issue. The fix for me was pulling the 30 amp fuse under the hood for the starter, afterwhich I was able to jumpstart the car. When I was able to swap out the battery with a new one the anti-theft deterrent was again activated and the car wouldn't start so I pulled the same 30 amp fuse for the starter as before, put it back and the car started no problem
