If LG made their UI closer to stock Android this would be an easy buy for me.
Just use the theming feature if its looks you want, or just download the google now launcher and change to icons, or just install a customs aosp rom :)

+Icarus975 No if you hide the apps you do not recover storage from these apps but you have to root in order to remove them. However, the phone does support micro SD expandable storage therefore you basically do have unlimited storage capabilities.

watching this on my new lg v10 switched over long time coming from an iPhone and its the best decision I ever made love the phone except for a couple bugs I've noticed with the second screen

Right now, my Samsung S4 is OK, but if I were to upgrade today, the LG V10 would be the phone.
I love the expandable memory (2tb!!!!!!) and the replaceable battery is exactly what I need since I keep my phones a long time.

When I first snapped a low light photo with this phone, I was totally impressed with the results. Settings ISO 800 and Shutter speed 1/60.
Glad someone's still offering removable batteries! A dying breed.

Great review. I've have my LG V10 since November now and I STILL love it. The V20 is going to have to REALLY have some crazy updates for me to give my my v10 for the v20. With my Launcher,,my clock widgets and My icon packs,,,plus the 264 gigs of storage on it, I am in love with my v10...I get almost 60 MPS download speeds with it on Tmobile. The camera is second to none..the speaker isn't great but I never listen to music or watch movies without headphones and the HAC Kills it when you put headphones in...This is my 13th android phone and by far my favorite.
This was a solid review video. You have set a very high bar, Jules. I look forward to watching more videos of this caliber in the future.

Also include voice recording capabilities and music through headphone or earphone with setting a benchmark device and comparing phones to it. It is mandatory because people also use the features. Its an advice worth following.

I had heard the DAC was actually pretty good, but even more impressive is that it's supposed to be able to drive harder to drive headphones.
Just wondering if that's true considering I like harder driven headphones...but I don't want to use an external amp to make a bigger brick.
+Solomon Li During my testing I didn't find this to be the case. Harder to drive cans are still driven poorly, with low volume, so a headphone amp is definitely needed. ^ADN
I bought this after testing out with my V moda M100, Audio Technica M50 and Beats Solo2 (my beaters). I have three FiiO headphone amps I use and the V10 is the first phone that made me think I wouldn't need the FiiOs.

+porscheoscar When I travel I like to bring my Mr. Speakers Mad Dogs. So they're going to need something that drives well over 50 ohms to drive them correctly. They're still the most comfortable closed cans I have.
Seems like I'll still need an amp with this bad boy. How do you like the DAC though? Transparent?
Solomon Li for portable use the V10 and high end headphones is more than adequate. I don't think carrying the FiiO or some other mobil amp is going to be worth the difference. Go over to the XDA forums in the V10 subforum one audiophile conducted some digital testing and posted the results. Just search v10 and audio.
Nicely done and complete review, worth the wait.
I like that the review mention at least some reasons for the design (the Dura-something, other reviews aren't mentioning it) and actually test it, allowing viewers to decide whether that's helpful or just marketing.
Too bad for LG I've already picked a phone for 2015, maybe next year with V11 or more likely V12, hopefully with the secondary screen on the bottom or anywhere easily reachable

this phone has more plus's than the old Google plus app. perfect phone. the second screen is very unique and innovative. the body, the specs, and the camera is very innovative. so getting this phone. love the review.

I might actually get this soon because AT&T is killing 2-year contracts and since I'm in one, when I have to upgrade, I'll have to pay the full price of my One M8 to upgrade.

+Corey Watford Before you point all fingers our way, you should know a couple of things:
1. we used up three LG V10 units. The initial review device Anton received was a South Korean unit that didn't like the region it got in (problems rendered no longer than one-hour battery life); the second unit didn't survive Jules' abuse, and the third was the lucky one
2. the footage has been shot on purpose. We could have easily used footage of the third V10

MicroSD card !!! I will not buy a phone without this.
Also, I love the interchangeable batteries.
I keep waiting to upgrade from my Samsung S4, but so far it's doing great with interchangeable batteries and 128gb MicroSD.
I liked the review overall but I have some comments to make them a little better, please bear with me, I would suggest a better microphone or at least one that can make his voice clearer because he has a deep voice. I would love to get a more deep in-depth review in battery life and everyday use. over all good video, getting better than when he first started. keep it up.
the international version I ordered suprisingly came with dual SIM card slots which I think is much needed. I have always been a hard HTC fan but after playing with latest samsung and the newest moto pure, I am safety content with this phone.

Very thorough review. I'm not sure if it's Jules's voice, or the sound quality of the video, but as good as the review was, it made me sleepy! :-) The video sounds like he's talking under a blanket or something. Fix that for next time = excellent.

Does the main screen need to be on to use the second screen? I didn't see a moment where the 2nd screen was on and the main one wasn't.
+elchamber In standby mode, you can choose whether the second screen is on or off. It is on by default to shot the time, weather, and other info. ^ADN
+elchamber no you can use the second screen while the main screen is off
+elchamber and the second screen is not on 24/7.. it shuts off while its inn your pocket.. or don't get any light that is.

very nice review, however you didn't comment on the feel in the hand. I had an lg v10 for about 48 hours and found it size--especially its width--to be downright unwieldy, far more so than the moto x, which has the identical screen size.

This phone has everything I want but USB C. Is USB C important enough to choose a different phone, or is the V10 still a good option.

Off Topic here: You know what would be cool for 2016 smartphones? If we can officially duel boot Android and Ubuntu. That way users can use Ubuntu side of things to do desktop environment like functions and replace their laptop. But that's just me.

BORING, UNPASSIONATE REVIEW of arguably the best android ever: greatest camera, only flagship
line with removable battery/SD card combo, gorgeous screen, and rugged, uncompromised
design. This review is an insult to the V10.
“Camera hasn’t changed much since the G4…” No, it hasn’t, because it’s the best f..ing
camera in the world! Which you don’t bother mentioning, for no good reason!

This is the only review that sais the camera on the V10 is “meh”…while all others
were blown away by the pro level of this beast.
What kills this review, though, is the lack of passion. Reviewer doesn’t seem excited
by things that are good, nor annoyed by things that are lacking, making the
review sound just like reading a bucket list of features, noting their presence
or absence. A viewer that is looking at this review for an opinion before
pulling the trigger on the V10 gets nothing. A little bit of bias, some excitement,
a personal opinion is key, otherwise I can just go and read the spec sheet on
LG’s website. Bad Pocketnow, BAD!
Good review, the phone looks pretty good.
I've had a Galaxy S3, S4, and S5. All experienced tremendous lag. (Currently lagging and overheating while typing this on the S5). I think it's time to switch to the V10
