I just recently purchased a new 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon X- listed for $71,300. We drove 57 miles to this dealership as they advertised the lowest discounts possible. We were there for several hours and finally settled on $61,700 out th e door. Our new vehicle was built August 2024. We already had a price in mind before going there and had contacted our bank earlier!!!! We also got $35,000 for our 2021 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon. So we made out great. We liked our Gladiator but parking in our garage took up a lot of entra space. We only keep our vehicle for 3-4 and are well maintained!!!
I rented a 2023 Overland for 2 months for work. Put 5k miles on it. Had a great time. Everyone has a different exp(i got 28mpg highway). Hopefully they get Jeep on good footing. I enjoyed it.
I’ve owned 3 gladiators 2019 and 2 wranglers before that. No major issues and overall reliable. My overland diesel was maintenance was starting to get little expensive but that as my best truck of all time. Actually sad I got rid of it. Currently driving an old school max tow sport. Love it. Jeep does need to find ways to lower prices ASAP
Same dude. 2014 JKUR. Still runs like new. Had some upgrades over the years to keep up with maintenance. Recently got a rhino rack pioneer rack for roof tent and holding stuff up top. I can't justify these cost that now and obviously that pricing is not going away ever. So I'll run this old girl until it dies.
I agree, i would love a wrangler with IFS and a proper body (not convertible) .. i would still lift it and take it offroad but i could do with the insolation and proper steering
I had to trade in my Jeep because I lost my job and income. Hopefully, I can get back to Jeep one day. Riding down country roads with my son in the back seat and the top down are memories I’ll never forget and ones that ended too soon.
Agree with your road test assessment. I'm a longtime Jeep owner. I test drove a 2024 X 'Extreme' with 35s. I don't like the fact Stellantis will only ship the 2025 X 'Extreme' with a manual trans. Stellantis really screwed the lineup with their lack of insight to the American markets. The thing I really despise is Stellantis has loaded our jeeps with Alfa Romeo electronics. Good luck with that... I'll keep my 2013 Rubicon JKUR10A.
Nice review. I don’t see vehicles getting cheaper any time soon. They will keep costs down with smaller engines and cheaper interiors, but no significant drop in prices.
That's the new verson of my 2018 I got it used with a mopar lift and 37's and katzkins red stiching seats. I have the 3.6 and not the 2.0T It's super cabpable and fun. We have the doors and top off most of the summer. Didn't know about the 4 auto version that's the only significant difference in the last 7 years.
As a Jeep Wrangler owner (21 Willys) as well as my Girlfriend also has a Wrangler 20 Rubicon RECON. I will say this. They never should have done away with the Mild Hybrid version of the 2.0 Turbo or (2.0 eTorque) I found that the MH variant of the engine is far better than the standard version and the V6 eTorque version as well. As far as everything else goes its apples and apples. Solid axels, Body on frame. blah blah blah. Only big differences, Gearing, maybe transfer case options, so its just a matter of how much money you want to depart with.
If i could purchase Jeep, I would ditch all V engines and go with all inline engines. They are more powerful and definitely more durable. Auto trans would be available in all trims just like manual trans would be as well. I would also have more colors and actually keep the colors instead of making them limited time only colors. I would also ditch the 4xE until someone can make the hybrid range available up to 300 miles on a charge. 27 mile range for a hybrid is ridiculous.
Hi buddy, I know you are an expert in wrangler. My 2024 off road page always shows roll is one degree off to the left with or without driver in. I am not sure if it is an issue or just another wrangler lean/imperfection. What’s ur experience with this?
You are correct. Last year's model came with 33" tires on the Rubicon X. A month ago, I bought a Gladiator Rubicon X, and although the tires are nice, 35" would have been better for off-road. Did they keep the 4.10 differential? Thanks for the review.
It took Bronco to get jeep to give us power seats, tells you alot about Stellantis.... I don't care about jeep traditionalists who want bare bones vehicles, they can give you that, but for $70k+ I want power everything, comfort and good road manners including being quiet at highway speed with great off road capability. It's doable... would be proud to own at that price if they just gave us that... make the front windshield affixed permanently, nobody opens it anyway, it's not 1941, make a version that doesn't have the top removable increasing body integrity and quietness, make the power sliding roof quiet like Audi... their charging enough for it... step it up and they'll all sell...
Simple - let the Wrangler be for hard core off road and resurrect the Cherokee to be what the old XJ was to the Wrangler 20 years ago when they DID have it RIGHT
What Jeep should do…? Make all of the various options available to the consumer rather than making groups, and forcing the consumer/buyer to choose between certain options, thus denying him or her other options….
Putting the price aside, jeeps have issues. Imagine paying 70g knowing its going to probably need repainted in 4 years along with the hood, doors and tailgate replaced. I'm not sure if they fixed the battery issue yet. I drive a 2020 rubicon and it would be hard for me to justify buying another.
Was planning on trading in my '22 Gladiator for a Rubicon for its "5000 lb" towing capacity, until I saw payload of 850 lbs. Totally bonkers. Instead bought a '24 Tacoma with 1200 lbs payload and 6500 lbs towing for much less.
@@SteegeFish Every Wrangler I looked at had an 850 lb payload, didn't matter whether it was a Rubicon of a Sahara. They push the idea it can tow 5000, but don't show the reality of true capability.
75K incl taxes, for a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon , 4 cyl engine, is Insanity times 100. Jeep has over priced their vehicles that it is not surprising that they are on the verge of closing all of their dealerships in the U.S.
No Pentastar with automatic option. Just when I thought Stellantis couldn't get dumber. My JK was 3.6 6 speed, which was fun but got tedious in traffic. No way I'm buying a Stellantis made turbo.
@@richardmiller3808 Check back in at 75000 miles when they probably have blown head gaskets. Stellantis can BARELY build a decent naturally aspirated engine.
@ will do. I’m almost at 50 and the girlfriend’s 70. She is starting to experience aux switch warnings got it scheduled for Tuesday to be looked at. I think her 48v battery is starting to fail. It’s under warranty still.
Not a huge fan of the new grill. Maybe it will grow on me. Part of the reason I went with Bronco over the new Wrangler. Didn’t dig the refresh - it’s too similar to before…. But I am and always will be a Wrangler fan in general.
They have to do more frequent updates or refreshes now due to competition. I have a 2019 JLUS and I replaced the old grill with the new one. It was plug and play install and I love the new looks! When I look at the older JL now, it reminds me of JK, which is not a bad thing but just looks outdated in comparison
I have a 2022 Wrangler Rubicon. It is my daily driver and serves that purpose well. Smooth ride, plenty of space and not that noisy. And you just can’t beat the electric slide back roof. A great daily driver. 👍
'22 Gladiator Rubicon diesel, stock AT tires, recent factory lift, rides just as well and not obnoxious loud either with the hard panels or sunrider half top
No jeep depends on loyalist for decades. Now with the bronco offering a twin turbo 2.7L 6 cylinder and more usable options for roughly the same price. Why would anyone by a jeep?
This 4WD system sucks. I have this same Jeep and it sucks in the snow. I traded in my 2015 Rubicon for it. That system was amazing. Just regular 4H and 4L. The 4H auto sucks so bad after shoveling snow off my driveway it would slip and spin and not go anywhere. It has the Ko2s. Going to look to replace this thing. Not impressed for a 70k vehicle. I will not recommend to anyone. Stick to traditional 4WD system.
Prices are dropping for 2025. Decent deals on 2024 models. We just bought a new wrangler Willys trim model. We have owned 5 jeeps. All of them were rock solid, zero issues
I've owned 5. 2 gladiators, 2 wranglers and 1 grand cherokee. All were excellent and zero issues. One gladiator was damaged by hail so go another. Wife just got the 2nd wrangler not long ago after having the grand cherokee for a good while. I'd like to know how many people saying jeeps are bad have actually owned them.

you are right.. its an ultimate second car but approaching 100k is nuts.
Can't believe that you can't get auto trans with the 3.6 engine for 2025. Stellantis is stupid.
You can say that again. Jeep, Dodge and Ram needs new owners
Kind of silly that this x model did not come with the aux switches As it does with the 2024 model
They should drop prices easy boys
You can get Rubicons nation wide 15k under sticker...What price would you be willing to pay for one?
Dang 70k ! Back in 2012 I got a 2door fully loaded Rubicon the first year they put the v-6 in it was only 35k

Wow
Prices went up over a decade plus

Bro I bought my 2 door brand new 3 miles for 25k they have prices themselves out of the market
I agree, i would love a wrangler with IFS and a proper body (not convertible) .. i would still lift it and take it offroad but i could do with the insolation and proper steering
That is the Grand Cherokee
This makes the new 4 runner Trailhunter look like a deal.
Prices like this is why all of Stellantis is floundering.
I had to trade in my Jeep because I lost my job and income. Hopefully, I can get back to Jeep one day. Riding down country roads with my son in the back seat and the top down are memories I’ll never forget and ones that ended too soon.
Hope things work out for you
The memories with your son will always be there. That’s what’s important. You can always replace the Jeep. Material things mean nothing.
Almost 70k and no aux switches. Pretty sad.
Ben, do you think the 3.0L in-line is coming to the Wrangler?

They must have made some changes during 2024. I have a 2024 that I bought in September 2023 and it has 35” tires with the same wheels in this video.
So which one is the best jeep engine among those 3.6, 2.0T and 3.0 eco diesel?
The Rubicon X in 2024 also came with 35" tires, unless it was the 4xe. Those did not come with the 35" tires.
Jeep wrangler Rubicon are cool suv love jeeps good off road suv
70k for a 4 banger - that poor engine will die early turning 35 inch tires!
Needs more motor for that price.
70K? Really? They are smoking.
Ben, do you think the V8 will come back in 2025 model ??!
So what Ford did with the Bronco and you want a Wrangler Sport.
