What a cool old engine - nice piece of auto history 😊

Those Riley 1•5 and 2•5 litres were great cars, I had a Kestrel once, (before they became classics) and that had automatic jacks built in, fantastic.
Was a bit surprised that you didn't have to resurface those points, they obviously didn't have any pitting.
Glad that the live chat went well, im afraid that this is beyond my computer skills. Keep them coming.

My Father purchased the Italian Ambassador's Alfa Romeo 1961 type 102-2000 Saloon cast-iron block alloy head twin cams.

Alfa Romeo were one of the first producing production cars with DOHC in the 1900-2000 series from the early 1950s, and when I say production, I'm not really talking about hand built sports cars for the super rich.

Nice to watch you working on something different. You are right though, they don’t make it like that anymore because they wouldn’t sale enough spares to make it worth there while.

Very few spares for engines are sold these days, compared with the 50s and 60s. Modern materials, machining technology and lubricants have resulted in engines that are way more reliable than older ones.
