You need a credit score of at least 620 fro home depot the better the score the lower rate.

This has been extremely informative and helpful. I need to secure land and alternative home between aug2022-oct 2022. So I have come to the conclusion that as long as I am renting, I will not be able to build a log cabin/yurt natural home I desire most. There is not enough time. As alternative ideas I am looking into tiny homes and shed to home conversions. I have looked at these options before but revisitng them again. I highly prefer not to renew lease for a 3rd time. in order to avoid that, I would need to purchase land and some alternative shelter to put on it by fall 2022. I can and have moved around holidays. frankly I want to avoid it.
I have already contacted my realtor with this plan. for spring and some of summer I will be window shopping, seriously buy late summer to early fall. I still want off grid resources as well.
we are already living tiny. our house is 1000 sq ft but we only use about 500-700 sq ft 🏡💜💛💚🌲

Thanks for sharing. Are there any options for Canadians wanting to finance a tiny home in the USA with a bruised credit score??

From our experience most of the lenders want to see above 680 credit score. Im not totally sure for financing available under that score.

4:52 ..Interesting regarding certification. Anybody try this in Florida? There is a county in Florida that allows you to owner build with no minimum dwell size that allows owner built or manufactured homes (not mobile homes). The permitting process in Florida is not easy and their codes are very tough. I am just wondering If I built an overengineered structure and could get an engineering company (like Noah) to "Florida certify" and draw plans from what I've built and allow me to take all that to the county as part of permitting.

I'd give NOAH a call and see what they have to say.

Do you know of a NOAH equivalent in Canada? Not sure if Depot offers this project loan in Canada either.

I believe it is NOAA? Start with a simple google search for NOAA equivalent in Canada.

Do you need collateral to get the loan? Refuse to collateral my property

What's the interest rate on loan?

It will vary from person to person depending on credit.

I applied Home Depot they said they were going to send letter to me. I think I didn’t get approved. Noah they’re sit kinda said same thing. I don’t have a good credit score. Just FYI. 620 credit score will get you probably the loans. My credit 509. COVID-19 hit my credit score hardcore.

Hi there! You definitely still need to have adequate credit to receive any loan. With NOAH there is no loan process. You simply pay the fee and you are in!

You can apply for the "EXTRA" Credit Card. It links to your checking account and will report to the credit bureau on your regular monthly payments ($84 annually). Also, you can have someone with great credit add you as an authorized user and your credit will get a huge bump (100 points >

Not a good deal. I can get 1100 a month for a 300,000 real sized home.

Which you will also be paying on for 30 years. It comes down to perspective. Tiny homes cost much less in the long run.

It is a good deal for people that choose not to live in a McMansion anymore. #lovethyplanet
