I’m super late, but I’m currently taking microbiology and failed my first exam which now I’m failing the class, I cried and beat myself up about that. I’m not the best when it comes to academics and studying. I would feel confident and the day of the exam I’ll go blank. I’m hoping to bring my grade up and pass this class with a B but it’s so hard for me to comprehend everything
@@nayelilanda9013it’s a hard class don’t beat yourself up it’s hard working especially and taking this course the best students don’t work usually or have full time jobs.I got a B- and A’s in everything else(a&p 1 and 2 etc) just try your best and don’t get discouraged I thought microbial genetics was going to be the death of me I got through it you will to

I will be taking Micro this Fall and the general Chem that is required by the nursing program at the community College that I attend. I think I will be okay. The Chem class does not have a lab attached to it....so I'm going to go for it. I'm going to try and stay organized to make notes and for studying. Great tips. Thank you.
Just make sure that at your college, a lab portion isn’t required for Chem, I’ve seen both. I’m currently also taking Chem and Stat. A&P, and micro next 🎉
@@AleeMun0608 Yes, the CC that I'm currently at doesn't require a Chem with a lab. The other 2 BSN programs that I'm applying to does. 🙄...So I have to take a Chem with a lab....which I intend to do next semester.

But I basically;lay went to advising and sat down with them and asked about the nursing program and what prereqs I needed to take to be eligible for the program, so classes like A&P 1 and 2, Microbiology, English/;language arts, a humanities course, speech, prob and stats. Stuff like that. I’m sure if you go to a community college or a university it will have a laid out pathway for you and that program. For instance I know what classes I need for my RN-BSN program I’ll be starting in the spring. So, start with going to that school and talking with an advisor to make sure you take the necessary classes for your program! I hope that answers your question!
Hey!! I have been a paramedic for the past 9 years and am now going bsck to school for Nursing. I am in Micro currently and the semester just started. I am a note care learner like you and i was wondering if you made physical flash cards on paper, or if you just used quizlet or both and maybe some more info on how you set that up? I just figured out I am a flash card learner last semester lol so still getting used to it and I was writing everything out for A&P 1 on flash cards and felt like my hand was going to fall off. Any advice would be great!!
Honestly I did both! I mainly did quizlet because it is convenient! Sometimes I used physical cards, but I like quizlet because I have it on my phone as well and while I was working or doing something around the house I could flip through them or set a timer to flip through them and just go over them also, I loved how I could take notes in class and then just copy and paste on the Quizlet cards instead of having to either retype them or rewrite them on physical cards! Sometimes I even just copied and pasted from the actual slides as well! So it’s all about your preference and your learning style but the Quizlet cards were more what I geared towards because they were more convenient and efficient!

No offense taken. I think that is a subjective statement. Most people think it’s easy while others think it’s not so easy. I’m in nursing school now and I agree that it wasn’t as difficult compared to now but what it does is definitely get you ready for it, or at least my instructor did.
