    Hey maybe a bit of a beginner question but how do you get all the tools to appear on the left hand side + top?

    GREAT VIDEOS!!! I'm a newbie and am going through all of your videos. Question: I'm applying floor textures and I've been messing around with color, size, etc.... somehow I've done something that doesn't allow to change size of texture. The color of texture is showing up but I can't adjust it. Any advice is appreciated.

      Hi there - at some point I'm going to get to Vray - unfortunately, at the moment, I don't have a Vray license, so I can't do much with it yet. Thanks!

    Great Videos Man, quick question; Its imperative that my drawings are on 2' x 3' at 1/4 scale, where can I find the page dimension info for the different layout platforms, ie Arch. 3 Arch 4?

    • @Thesketchupessentials
      @Thesketchupessentials  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      They're in your Layout Page Template Settings - when you first open up Layout, it should ask you to select a template. I think you can also select them by going to File, Document Setup, Paper. Thanks!

    Does anybody happen to know how much polygons should be in one piece of furniture in order to get good quality visualization afterwords?

    • @Thesketchupessentials
      @Thesketchupessentials  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It really just varies based on the object...Generally, you want to have enough detail that things look smooth, but low enough that you don't have a lot of excess geometry. If you have hundreds of thousands of faces, it's probably too much...

      Thank you so much! I actually came up with an idea of my own - I created layers for every room's furniture, so I can turn it on and off when necessary. Also, I'm trying to have objects with less than 10k polygons and for now, it's going fine :) I really hope it looks good after rendering tough, cause i'm currently learning how to work with Vray and Lumion and have no idea how it'll turn out :)
      Thank you so much for the help and for the great videos, they're so good and so helpful!

    Hello!
    Im just a subscriber but i have problems with layout
    Because im learning sketchup and layout for my gcse dnt
    We have to layout with orthographic projections (with the symbol) , exploded view with DIMENSIONS in layout and i have seen the playlist but it doesnt really help me , we dont use scenes so yea

    • @Thesketchupessentials
      @Thesketchupessentials  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm a bit confused - if you don't use scenes, Layout is not going to work very well for you. That's how you set up the visibilities that you need in Layout - why wouldn't you use them?
