The lack of HUD highlights how good the game actually looks. Is too easy to get caught up in Battlefield hunting doritos and minimap watching, this was really cool to see.
One of the only games I’ve played where I’ve actually found myself stopping several times mid game to just appreciate how cinematic the experience is. Insane game that I still play on a regular basis
This game perfectly shows that war is not about superheroes who kill everyone in the style of action movies of the seventies. War is the earth pitted with bombs, destroyed cities, dirt, blood, torn off parts of bodies, mountains of corpses, screams of wounded soldiers. This game is a real masterpiece and the last good game in the Battlefield series
BF1 is truly a special game. Still play it very actively. I just can't get over the immersive quality of this game. It is a gritty, raw experience that throws you right into the conflict. The sound design, the atmosphere, the gameplay, the setting, the destruction, the music... everything just comes together so well. You can hear and feel the bombs, the bullets, the screams and soldier chatter. And the maps are gorgeous. Scenic, yet war torn. All set to a backdrop of gas, fire and ambience. Very cinematic playing experience. This game is the perfect example of what happens when a team of devs choose to develop a game out of pure passion.
The most immersive Battlefield ever created. Doesnt have many things to unlock as in other Battlefield. The progress feels like a bit dull but the atmosphere, sounds, visuals are top notch. Voice acting of every facition is a delight. That is why it has became my favorite so many years later after the BF3. In terms of atmosphere this is in top three maybe the first, the most immersive world war game I have ever played and I play HLL, Verdun etc. This game just hits very hard in your emotions.
It's staggering how beautiful this game is after all these years. Same goes for Battlefront I. They had the secret sauce perfected back then. More cinematic runs of ALL THE GAMES, please, Jack!
so you know how like, in forza, the removal of assists like traction control and stability control etc nets you more XP because you're increasing difficulty? I'd love to see something like that in an FPS. ie. less HUD means more XP because the game is harder for you than those playing with a full hud. Implemented correctly it could make for a varied player base that requires different skills depending on the HUD elements that remain.
That sounds like great fun. I spent many hours playing a Hardcore Rush server on BF4, and it was always so much fun to actually be able to sneak around cause people had no minimap and had to listen for you.
This would be great, I play a lot of hardcore games and would prefer a game mode specifically for hardcore in battlefield games and if they added more xp that would just be perfect
