Nintendo really missed a huge opportunity by not releasing a new Mario Party instead of 1,2 Switch. Seriously, what better game to show off the 2 player co-op controls than a simplistic fun board game?
Unpopular opinion, but I think my favourite GameCube game is Super Monkey Ball 2. I still play it to this day when I have some buddies over haha. It's so quirky but oddly satisfying.

I got the metroid prime trilogy. I own it. I have the physical copy and it's the collectors edition. How?! Well I went to Gamestop.:( I know and I asked the man at the counter for the metroid prime collection and he said looks like you got the last one and he gave me the game in the metal case.
I always hated how under appreciated Star Fox Adventures was. Sure it wasnt the "Star Fox 64" successor that we all wanted, but it was still a very solid game on it's own. I beat it a good amount of times back in the day, great stuff. I loved the spin of discovering who the main villian was, it was such a satisfying shock to me at the time.
I agree! Loved those games! They weren't perfect, but they were headed in a better direction than Star Fox Zero. Which took Zero steps forward for the franchise, in my opinion.
I never really understood the buzz around Melee. The mechanics always felt limited and predictable, and the reward for "getting gud" never seemed to be worth it. Why Melee when there are other types of games that might not even see the light of day unless they were virtually re-released? (Legitimate question :P Super Smash Bro's will just keep milking the cow on each system - if you feel me.)

I've heard that Gamecube games cannot be VC due to the digital triggers. But my top five would have to be (though I admit most of them are extremely unlikely: Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures Sonic Adventure 2: Battle Spyro: A Hero's Tail either Pokemon Colosseum or Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness (or both!) and finally, Kirby Air Ride. I spent so much time with my siblings playing Kirby Air Ride. We faced off against computers, tried to get all the 'achievements' (though I think they were called checkboxes), and generally had an all around good time.
I want windwaker, twilight princess, double dash, metroid prime, resident evil REmake, resident evil 4, metal gear solid twin snakes, smash melee, paper Mario 1000 year door, rogue squadron 2 Holy shit god damn there were so many great GameCube games. Such a great system.

Why not Crash Nitro Kart? If Nintendo Switch has support for GCN and GBA VC titles, then linking CNK between GCN and GBA versions via two Switches would be wicked.
Fully agree with Mario Strikers. Has to be one of my top favorite sports games ever. Plus, that satisfaction of checking an opponent right into the electric barrier to hear them scream and flop like a fish. And way I see it, it's LOADS better than the Charged one on Wii.
I was in my third year of university when the Game Cube came out so couldn't afford it at the time. I've pre ordered a Switch and I'm excited about these games I've never played. My ultimate virtual console release though would be the Turok trilogy. How I would love to play those again.

Pfft the original is definitely superior. The main thing I don't care for is how everyone has special moves and it kinda gets away from the basis of Soccer. I have both and it's still fun, just a little over the top.

Honestly for me there were only 2 GameCube games that I LOVED as a kid and I still have them on my Wii with my GameCube controllers and the 2 games are scooby doo unmasked and spongebob squarepants battle for bikini bottom I played those games so much as a kid :D

1.) The Switch doesn't run on the same hardware as the Wii U, so it can't natively run GC titles 2.) The Switch doesn't seem powerful enough to emulate Gamecube games I don't think GC Virtual Console is happening anytime soon.
Re: Beyond Good and Evil- A game's sales is in no way indicative of its quality. It's one of those games like Psychonauts where it just didn't strike a chord at the time but over the years people hear word of mouth and pick it up... And then it becomes one of your favorite games once you sink your teeth into it.

The problem I foresee with GameCube virtual console titles is the lack of analog control on the shoulder buttons for the switch, if what I heard is true. F-Zero, although it would still be my favorite addition to the console library. Would suffer by having it's horizontal shifting mechanic gimped.

I hope there will be the option to use single Joy-Con for multiplayer games that don't use the C-Stick and one of the ABXYZ buttons (or make clicking the stick a button), because then you could play with a friend on the fly, like Custom Robo and Mario Kart Double Dash.
For Four Swords Adventures screen problems there is a great solution. LAN connectivity. 4 people with a Switch, when someone goes to somewhere that used the GBA screen, it just shows up on their Switch.
Was looking at Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness from the Gamecube library. Never got to play it since i never owned a Gamecube. Is it a good buy if it shows up on VC? Definitely getting Skies of Arcadia on Switch VC if it shows up since i had it on Dreamcast back then.

Porting Final Fantasy Chrystal Chronicles is impossible without reprogramming the game because the multiplayer used gbas as a controller and inventory screen.
Crystal chronicles would be AWESOME on the Switch! it's cute and co-op and it would be a nice way to re introduce the game to people! [Watch out for that ending though!A between boss save point would be awesome in this version!]

I heard that the multiplayer vc games will have online multiplayer so if Melee is on virtual console it would be a dream come true!
Spacey Online Multi-player for VC games has only been confirmed for SNES and NES games, but I would LOVE to see Melee with added online support.

Why Sonic Heroes? It would be better as a PS2 Classic on PS4 release, or an HD port with a Japanese voice option.

Eternal Darkness was definitely a Hidden Gem. One of the best Survival Horror games of all time.

^this poor soul never had a GameCube, so these are just the games I've sort of played at a friend's house and loved, but had the controller snatched away.
I hope there will be the option to use single Joy-Con for multiplayer games that don't use the C-Stick and one of the ABXYZ buttons (or make clicking the stick a button), because then you could play with a friend on the fly, like Custom Robo and Mario Kart Double Dash.
For Four Swords Adventures screen problems there is a great solution. LAN connectivity. 4 people with a Switch, when someone goes to somewhere that used the GBA screen, it just shows up on their Switch.
If mario sunshine is released on switch, I'm sold
We need Crazy Taxi and Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut. Also, throw in some Ikaruga and Skies of Arcadia Legends as well.

Was looking at Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness from the Gamecube library. Never got to play it since i never owned a Gamecube. Is it a good buy if it shows up on VC? Definitely getting Skies of Arcadia on Switch VC if it shows up since i had it on Dreamcast back then.

Porting Final Fantasy Chrystal Chronicles is impossible without reprogramming the game because the multiplayer used gbas as a controller and inventory screen.
Crystal chronicles would be AWESOME on the Switch!
