Then you are probably familiar with the story when Elvis and Marion met once again during Elvis' army stint. 🫡

Andy - no, I’m not familiar with the story of Marion and Elvis meeting up during his service in the US Army. Please enlighten me. I was also lucky enough to visit RCA Studio B in Nashville last year and if I remember correctly they had some photos of him in the studio with his army uniform on. Cheers Bill

@@billvinyl-lists4572 Marion had joined the air force in the meantime and Elvis literally bumped into her. Must have been quite a surprise for both of them! 😳🤣

Parker on the label of "Mystery Train" is Junior Parker who had the first recording of it...He was another "Jump Blues" artist and as such was not related to Tom Parker....Phillips is Sam, who did what was current in the day, took half credit on a song he had nothing to do with...Telling another poor black man that dj's would recognize his name and therefore play the record.. Alan Freed put his name on Cuck Berry's "Maybelline ", giving Chuck the same line of bs...he also cut in the guy who owned the sheet music store downstairs from the radio station he worked for ,thus "Maybelline " was credited to Berry/Freed/Russ Fratto....

Hi Terry - thanks for watching my video and taking the time to leave a very informative comment. As you noticed, I was not aware that the Parker credited on Mystery Train was Junior Parker. There were a lot of unscrupulous people in the music business in the 50s who took credit and money for songs they were not involved in writing. Am I correct in saying that Frankie Lymon suffered from this behaviour with regards to “Teenager in Love”? Thanks again and have a great weekend- cheers Bill
