After the WorkingTitle CJ4 Mod got implemented into the base simulator via the "Aircraft and Avionics Update", many things have improved with the plane, but also some functions have been removed. This includes (most notably) the simBrief integration, the checklists and the passenger announcements. Also the PFD/MFD menu navigation has changed a little bit. Still, 98% of this tutorial flight are still valid :) Happy flying and thanks for watching!
Tremendous tutorial. I've been holding off switching up from turboprops to jets as it seems quite daunting but this tutorial has given me the confidence and knowledge to try the CJ4. Many thanks.
I flew the CJ4 for a few months after graduating from the C152, C172 and the larger prop aircraft. The CJ4 was such a favorite for a while due to being very easy to maneuver as well as forgiving when the pilot wasn't quite with it. Now I have graduated again, this time to the large airliners which again is a big step and requires creating complex flight plans and programming the flight computer. This is all a great fun and definitely worth every cent. I look forward to passing time in the coming winter months, flying the world over.
You are a very underrated TH-camr and streamer. Your videos taught me how to set up and fly the Zibo years ago. Keep doing what you're doing for the flight sim community!
Thank you for this video. I'm very new to MSFS, having started only about a month ago. I learned last week how to fly the A32nx from your video, and typed it into click-by-click instructions. I did the same with this video for the CJ4. You have a way of clearly and simply stating each step, without assuming we're a pilot ourself. I may not understand everything a pilot knows, but after watching your videos at least I can fly the plane. Thank you for making these videos, and I'm looking forward to your next ones.
I'm familiarizing myself to the 2020 MSFS after an extended absence from earlier MSFS simulations. This video was just what I needed. It was very informative and very appreciated. God Bless.
Very good tutorial. Straight and too the point. Have not flown the CJ4 yet but have been wanting too and found most of the other tutorials just too long winded while not providing the content needed to actually start, program and fly the dang plane. Nice work man !!!
Excellent tutorial. Thank you. Had been flying the Working Title CJ4 for a while but haven't been back on FS2020 for couple of months. This has got me excited about jumping back in!
Thanks so much for the most comprehensive, simple and well explained CJ4 tutorial I have watched so far. Also, it is one with an easily understandable english accent 😉🙃
It seems that I had a little brainfart while explaining the battery amps and the GPU. Of course when the GPU is connected, the battery shouldn't be discharging any longer. Maybe the value on the systems page is static and not modelled yet. Cheers guys, thanks for watching :)
my compliments to the way you provided this tutorial. i fly the longitude with the garmin 3000, this aircraft seems more complicated with regard to the avionics. from what i see in the world map, the longitude is faster and cruises higher than the cj4. i welcome your comments.
Hi, I'm glad you enjoyed the video :) As I only own the MSFS Standard Edition, I don't have access to the Longitude, so I can't comment further on that plane unfortunately...
Thanks! Well the STD altimeter depends on the country (and sometimes the airport), but yes in North America and some other countries it's FL180. Cheers
Great video thank you. I am a total newbie to MSFS2020 and simbrief (not flight sims) and plan to follow your video exactly. However I have one issue. Can I ask, do you load the simbrief pln on the World Map page in FS2020? And if so how do you start cold and dark. When I load the simbrief pln and then change to cold and dark in the World Map options, I do not seem to be able to get the option of ATC clearance. I guess my question is, what process did you go through to be cold and dark in a parking space on this video and be able to get ATC clearance. Thank you in advance.
Thank you, I'm glad you like the tuto! I haven't used MSFS for a long time so I don't remember how I set up the cold'n'dark state. Might be an option in the FMS options of the WT CJ4, or somewhere in MSFS. Regarding the simBrief flight plan and the ATC, no, I didn't load the fp in the World Map of MSFS. I'm just using the Flight Plan Recall (SB) as shown in the tuto, and make sure that the flight plan sync option is enabled. ATC should be working then. Cheers
Thank you for this! One question around atc - did u also load the imported fp from simbrief in the world map or when u enabled the connection to atc in the fms does it automatically provide atc services based on the imported fp into the fms ? Thanks!!
just in case a bunch of other people are confused like I was, a bunch of stuff moved when this patch was discontinued and other stuff was flat out removed. so in the current MSFS a bunch of stuff no longer works that worked 2 years ago. Pretty frustrating.
I am a newbee wanting to learn the CJ4 as my first jet engine plane. I have been through many...many, CJ4 tutorials and this is far and away the best. The only problem I have is that I can't really use it while flying. Is there a comparable written procedure I could refer to on a second monitor? Thanks...and again...Great tutorial.

There are quite some hints and tips in the official WT CJ4 user guide though, and the integrated checklists are very useful as well. docs.google.com/document/d/1qzxPMTSQRkvau8QOi7xUqNvjx9rbww_qHlso5AT5OnI/
is it possible to assign bindings to the "Menu Push" button and other buttons on the Lower Menu and on the Upper menu? I need to get a bunch of those buttons to push on my VIRPIL button boxes (CP1 & CP2 & CM2 Throttle). I am using Spad.Next and found some variables that say MSFS and they have the right descriptors on them but I don't seem to be able to assign them properly in Spad. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong in Spad or this is not possible in the Working Title CRJ. Thanks in advance
I tried following these steps on the MSFS 2020 Xbox version and the sim just doesn't respond like in this video. Many steps don't work the same like the FMS. For example, going to the index page does nothing. It stays on the POS Init page. I have this on Steam as well but haven't built my PC. Any idea's?
It says to me "wrong pilot id" when I try to connect to Simbrief. The ID is right. The flight is saved in Simbrief. EDIT: solved. I have to generate the OFP anyway.
I have downloaded the CJ4 from workingtitle and have an entry workingtitle-aircraft-cj4 in my Community folder but I don't see any entry for a working title aircraft only the Textron Aviation model. I have the standard version of fs2020. Have I done something wrong?? Excellent tutorial which i hope to absorb properly?
Actually the working title mod doesn't create a new aircraft entry in the MSFS menus. Just select the CJ4 as usual and when you have all the new features available, then the WT mod is properly installed :)
So I've been struggling with this for over an hour and still can't figure it out. Changing the altimeter units. I can change them on the PFD via the PFD menu, but they stay imperial on the FMS, so I can't enter QNH in hPa for takeoff PERF. The settings where this should be (IDX -> Settings) do not include altimeter units, I only have ground power, cabin lights, and simbrief ID. Does anyone know how to change the units on the FMS?
Might well be that you need to change the weight units in the "General Options" menu of MSFS under "Misc". And then pretty likely you need to restart the flight. It's the same with the AAU2 B747 for example. Cheers
I aint worth a shit at operating this plane man. I am watching tons of videos on it. I was rabbit hoppin into the landing pad and all thee above. Not sure how i beat the checkride on OnAir but i literally cant get the flight plans going right. Where its basically AP. Than descends and etc. I been using just the Daher TBM 930. Its easy for me to control and fly. I really wanna jump up to the CJ4 tho!
Yeah nowadays modern airliners are able to receive weather reports, I know it from the Airbus mainly. Setting up a runway for the destination before takeoff is just a "guess" though using the current wind information, and ATC will give you the runway in use when close to the airport.
When using the FS2020 planner, the flightplan will be present in the FMS directly which is not very realistic. Also it can be quite tedious to use and many prefer simBrief because of its simplicity, plus you get all the weights, fitting SIDs/STARs etc for the flight. Cheers
how do I install this? I know it's normally easy but I can't figure out which folder to dragg to my msfs2020 community folder. Thanks for any help you can provide!

@@UncarteD Doing what exactly? The simBrief import isn't possible anymore after the aircraft update, as is all the other stuff that was available on the MOD SET page.
Is there some alternative to discuss MSFS and things that dont work besides GITHUB and DISCHORD ? these sites are monsterously annoying and I can no longer log in to them - Oh BOY ! No where to get help or discuss except You Tube ... thankfully you are a source for my escape to better SIMMING. I have been adding hardware, and just recently have realized a benefit after many years of Flying. I wish there was a discussion area that could answer some basic questions and take suggestions. Do you know of any? So many quirky ideas being established in MSFS that I have never encountered anywhere. And I am OLD ! Who are those people designing this software ? I find it all fun to a point then it becomes ... tedious at best.
Sorry I'm not much into online MSFS discussions ;) But maybe I can recommend the official Flight Simulator forums. There is really much activity and maybe it will help you out.

The Working Title Mod for Microsoft Simulator Cessna Citation CJ4 Cockpit is similar to Airbus a320. Not the neo. Similar (Not Same) Similar. It is possible it is a speaker issue, damaged and makes noise at the sound frequencies of the sim.
I don't have that "mod set" option on my fms, do you know how I can get it? Thanks!
After the WorkingTitle CJ4 Mod got implemented into the base simulator via the "Aircraft and Avionics Update", many things have improved with the plane, but also some functions have been removed. That includes the "MOD SET" options. Cheers
@SimulationChannelDeluxe Got it, ty. Do you know how people are doing it now? Do you have a video explaining it?
@@UncarteD Doing what exactly? The simBrief import isn't possible anymore after the aircraft update, as is all the other stuff that was available on the MOD SET page.
I don't understand why flying plan isn't being saved from global map...
Yeah the improved Working Title systems in the CJ4 don't seem to support the "map flight plan" import.
@@SimulationChannelDeluxe Ok appreciate the reply ... I have tried many times to get there My Microsoft account wont allow it ? I get errors no matter what I try. At least MS is consistent.
Where did you set the minimums???
Here you go: 50:03
The Working Title Mod for Microsoft Simulator Cessna Citation CJ4 Cockpit is similar to Airbus a320. Not the neo. Similar (Not Same) Similar. A Real a320. not the neo (which might just be a Commercial Simulator for Pilots). Not an Actual Plane. You'd Have to Read the a320 Manual. Transfer Skills from Cessna Citation CJ4 to Real Airbus a320.
how do you zoom your waypoint my are to far out ?
Can I use Little navmap to install as the flight plan?
Little Navmap is a great tool to prepare a flightplan as well as SIDs and STARs, but it's not possible to load a Little Navmap created flightplan directly into the CJ4 via the FMS if that's what you're asking. Cheers
@@SimulationChannelDeluxe thx for replying. So Simbrief is the only way to load a flight plan in the CJ4?
@@j_london9791 Yeah either simBrief, or by using the integrated MSFS flight planner. The MSFS created flightplan will be loaded in the aircraft instantly without the need to load anything.
@@SimulationChannelDeluxe thx
@@SimulationChannelDeluxe
You can load a little navmap plan in the menue as you load up the flight, when you would use fs2020 to create a flight plan.
