Dude, awesome! Honestly, I’m sure your RR24 will do fine until then. If you install the Jackson j50bc and je-1000 then you’ll have the best old school COB tone for the early albums. But don’t feel like you’re missing out too much.
Awesome playing brotha. I have a GP-1000 too. I run it through a Mesa Strategy 400 power amp. Do you happen to know what modifications Alexi had on his?

@@Warhearts man, what a tone.. I Wish I could get something similar to gp1000 sound in a more affordable and easy to find way.. At least for now for me engl e530 seems the closest.. It's now the same though... I feel like gp1000 is quite far from a modded Marshall in terms of tone character, so I have no idea where to base my tone from if I have a guitar with kinda weak ceramic humbucker with a mid-booster added in the chain.. Any ideas on at least some preamps which are at least close?.. Or something in a pedal form which seems closest to you?.. If I don't find anything I'd keep trying to get it from Marshall-like bases, but I will always know it is not what I am looking for.. I guess probably Alexi's GP1000s also were modded also to give a bit more gain and bass like late Lee Jackson's 88 versions were produced and how the man himself suggested to upgrade the earlier ones... You mentioned somewhere under your videos you had something else, even more to give it even more overdrive, so I have no idea at all...

Good question, I haven’t thought about it so I don’t really have an answer. This guitar has better specs than the RR24 though.
