@@jedicouncil66 I’m still doing it two months later.. Can’t stop looking at him and listening to his playing and his voice. My heart is shattered.. I just wanna go back in time to the better days..
I actually met George a few years back. Him and my grandfather went to a nearby Guitar Center and picked up my first guitar. Handed to me and signed by George on the back of the head. Not meaning to brag. Just saw him and brought back memories.
They had one of Alexi's signatures at Guitar Center, and it is actually a lot easier to play on vs. most esp, ibanez, jackson and shecters. The action, neck, and sound was jus amazing.
On a Strat, that's pretty typical. A single coil bridge pickup is a like an ice pick to my ears, always replace them with humbuckers (usually strat sized, like the lil Screamin Demon).
The amp thing is so true. I remember going to Guam to perform, I've been using a crappy Peavey Rage158 all my life and when I got there, they had this Vox tube amp, and my friend and I would not stop playing it because it sounded so great.
Rip my man..I didnt know this guy passed and here he is sitting with the mighty GL..my guitar hero since 1987.This guy did pass away right? He seems like a really great guy
Well yeah, addiction and mental health problems don’t work that way. You can work, smile, laugh and have good time, but when you go home alone at night you can’t stop the thoughts running through your head. The anxiety and pain never really goes away even when you’re smiling. I’ve suffered from depression for 17 years, and some times are better, some times worse. It doesn’t mean I can’t have fun. Actually people who meet me at work could never imagine what’s hidden behind my smile. And none of us know what Alexi was going through.. Alcoholism is such a fucking hard thing to overcome...
Perkele is an alternative name of Ukko, the chief god of the Finnish pagan pantheon. In modern Finnish, the interjection "perkele!" is a common profanity, approximately equivalent to "the Devil!" in meaning and "fuck!" in intensity. We have a lot of swearwords, so do you guys wanna have small lecture of these fine words of ours ;)
Wthell? No but be interesting as im always tryna be aware of the satanic n pagan programming being pushed by Netflix, Hbo , Hulu, Hollywood etc..its EVERYWHERE! Once you start looking for it
@@michaelcard9382 it's not "programming". Hollywood is too dumb for its own sake. It's just exciting for the typical western audience, and it attracts viewership therefore the media companies capitalise on it. It's "dangerous" and "exotic". That's why you see a lot of it lately. Especially targeted towards teens. Same with metal music in the past. All satan etc, but not even 1/3 of the musicians had anything to do with satan worship per se. They just loved the extreme imagery and they understood the excitement factor it brought to the table. Especially for the younger audience which the music targeted. Cheers
@@wavetech_ Maybe..i still feel like theres purpose behind it as good vs evil is always the narrative..Like Superman, his name is Calell and in greek means God.I think its become intentionally blasphemous as their always showing anti god, witches, super heroes n a lot of transhumanism shows where they want you to bekieve you can transfer your consciousness into an avatar or robot to live forever tho thats not your soul but a collection of all your words n manorisms, their oushing so much of that way of thinking nowadays a Tech increases n could even save your soul seems to be the big lie..if your a believer, it becomes clear
Interesting, never knew that one. Our chief god is Perun (Slavic), seems it is the same name actually. Especially when you take in account that Lithuanians called him Perkunas. Perun- Perkunas- Perkele?
3.51 "is it active?" alexi was 1 min almost explaining the pickup and the fact that its passive, and the guy suddenly just asks if its active wtf wasnt he hearing?
It just makes allot of sense that these two Guitarists ended up hanging out and jamming together. not 1 guitarist out of the thousands upon thousands of bands of the A7X, Lamb Of God, Bullet For My Valentine etc ilk can measure to one of these guys. "I do have a feeling about bands that cannot get it on, ... When I was a kid, I had guitar heroes: Jimmy Page, Michael Schenker, Angus Young. Hot players. You can't name one guitar player in any of the new bands that is a virtuoso" ~ Dave Mustaine
I don't use my neck pickups either... It is just natural... I do all my sweeps and legato on the bridge... LOL at Alexi saying "Using neck pickip, That's kind of cheating.. to minimize noise " :D
@montejano760 Yeah I played that one, the one with his signature on it? That thing played fucking amazing, if I had the money I would've taken it home with me in an instant that day.
I kinda agree with alexi that the v up-rightish shape is best for fast metal, I have a bc rich and i play it like a V because its just so much better for fret access plus its like classical guitar you dont need to bend your wrist joints at much, in case you dont understand how i play my guitar which isn't a V like a V Check out my background pic. You'll see what i mean..
@Mumumumichael Yeah, depends what you're playing and amp etc. Bridge gives a mean trebly harsh sound and neck gives a warmer full bodied sound, depends what you're into. In metal you can use neck for solo's but it's not really mean sounding enough nowadays. Old Metallica used neck all the time.
the gain boost + the lee jackson pre amp alone does not deliver the sound that Alexi and Roope have when they play. It would be nice if he gave us the real info on that
I mean it did. It really did. Not today though since roope is out of the band. But roope used engl preamps and poweramps and alexi these days uses marshall heads. Back in the blooddrunk days he used the kerry king jcm but now he goes with a jvm head
I wish in an alternate universe he crossed paths with Uncle Snoop, and that Dawg would of had him changing his perspective and all kinds of metaphysical-stuff. I think guys can come back from that kind of addiction but I think it requires the genuine companionship of a good woman and a male mentor for a meaningful daily grind with a regular connection with a brotherhood of people in a really well coached Dojo in grappling. Whether that's freestyle, Sambo, Judo, BJJ..... we have circuits as humans that need to be flexed. We're tribal at our core and there are such better ways of getting through things but community with wokism is a very aesthetic and controversial topic.
Ive got a screamin demon in my ESP.It looks like (color n all) Lynchs orange quilted maple on his instructional vhs tape but i went with reveresed kamakazi headstock(black) i love that damn guitar
Lynch misunderstood what Alexi said about neck pickups..Alexi is right about "cheating", you can sound like a sweeping pro with neck pickups even if some notes are dead.. 🙂
well then. i see you have completely changed my mind using realistic facts, outstanding unquestionable arguments, your flawless grammar is fantastic as well as your deep infinite knowledge of "catolic-ism" (as you would put it) xD hahaha people like you make me laugh. regardless of his beliefs, alexi has some real skill.
Well, to be fair, Laiho starts out by saying that it was a passive pick-up, but there was an output boost built into the guitar. Guess what? Passive pickup + onboard boost = active electronics. So it's no longer passive. Maybe WTF he wasn't hearing was the number of drinks Alexi had before he started his active/passive babbling.
So happy and healthy here. RIP wild child Laiho.

Alexi telling Lynch what’s up about guitars. This is about the greatest of uploads there’s ever been 🤩😍🥰
What a great musician. We can't loose another one these guys.
Love these 2 guys, 2 different styles, 2 generations and 2 Guitar Heros !!

Yngwie spends much of his lead time on his neck pickup. I personally love the use of the neck pickup for clean and lead.
On a Strat, that's pretty typical. A single coil bridge pickup is a like an ice pick to my ears, always replace them with humbuckers (usually strat sized, like the lil Screamin Demon).
Nope, he actually uses both to an annoying extent.
Alexi has managed to sneak a swear word onto his shirt in this video! Nice ;)

I actually bought that Screaming Demon pick up back in 91! Love it for the bridge position!
I've used it as a full humbucker and a strat sized bucker. Great pickups, nice and percussive.
The worst shit in all this is that the dude really didnt need alcohol. He was a happy guy, capable of laughing and having a good time sober.
