I am curious as to how many pieces you sit on and the length of time. It looks like a lot of inventory there. How often do you sift through and clean out? Also, what are the costs for your supplies per transaction? Are you keeping track of your expenses to write off against your profit? How many hours do you think you put in sourcing, etc.
I sell prob 50-60% of items within the first month of listing. Most of the others sit for up to 6 months (small percentage for longer), I have a lot of space so sitting on items doesn't bother me. I order shipping supplies free from USPS and packaging is ordered in bulk. And yes, of course all expenses (inventory, gas, etc.) are recorded for tax purposes.

It provides a great opportunity for you to make a decent living. Most people do not have that available. The fact USPS provides shipping materials for free is also an added bonus! Good for you and I enjoy watching your channel from Canada.
Here’s a quick little tidbit you all might like....this is now the 7th or 8th time I’ve had to contact poshmark because I’ll do random search for some of my items and they don’t show up...I’ll remove the specific size, I’ll add color, I’ll add condition then I’ll add in the exact size and still my items don’t appear. Now let me just say, I share everyday, I pay someone else to share, I follow, I like, I promote, I make offers, I do all the things I’m supposed to do. This has been going on for about a year. I’m only PT and cannot dedicate 12 hours a day to kissing their backside. I have multiple daily sales on EBay and Mercari so my pricing is good, my items are good. Poshmark is the MOST amount of work, I get the least sales and they have the highest fees, RIDICULOUS, CHECK YOUR ITEMS.

@@maylinsanjur415 don’t let it! If you don’t have a scale, just take whatever packages you’re worried about being overweight to the counter to scan in at the PO and look at the weight. If it scans in over 5 lbs., they can give it back to you. Then you can just upgrade the label on the app (super easy) and print it back out.
I accept offers based on the demand of the item! I like to keep things moving and always re-investing/leveling up. If I waited to get my list price on each item my sales would be few and far between
I always feel like the paper priority mail mailers will rip if I put an item slightly heavier. Do you get scared of that happening during transit? I’ll usually use the padded mailers for smaller items like that instead
I don't live with my inventory so it's extra hard for me to keep track of everything, I feel like adding in another platform would be the straw that breaks the camels back 😂
Why can I not find those shipping envelopes on usps 😟 what are they called or whats the size? All I see are padded ones and ones that are more cardboard.

We can research & filter til the cows come home, but if Poshmark has our closet off, it's not going to matter. Rolling blackouts are a real thing. I have band tees that other sellers move for $30 all day long...mine are listed for less, & I can't move them...if you're not seen... you're ditw.
I put a lot of effort into funneling traffic to my closet from social media. I dont think that listing on poshmark alone provides enough exposure to sell items quickly, which reinforces what you're saying

@@just.j5302 yes when I first started! For one of my first videos, I had to have a glass of wine beforehand haha! But it gets easier the more you do it and the more you interact with viewers. Everyone has something unique to offer!

I’m in the immediate Bay Area and thrifting is like shopping Nieman Marcus around here. Could use some resources !!!

Being relatable and unbiased across the board is more important to me and my channel than 1 or 2 sponsored videos. I don’t really see it as “free advertising” when I discuss ThredUP a lot. I’m trying to give info about a way to get inventory that is accessible nationwide. I like to share what I’ve ordered from them, how it has sold, and my personal “dos/donts” for shopping the site. I think that’s helpful info for those who have a harder time going to the thrift store (new moms, people with health issues, etc.) and are looking for a way to get inventory delivered to their home.

No, I would say maybe 5% of bundles I pay for the upgraded label
