Great video! I've been selling on Posh for over 5 years and definitely agree with your tips. The feed feature is useless... the feed needs to be able to be curated to the buyer, by the buyer (at one point or another, we're all buyers, even if it's sourcing on Posh). I think there would be so many more sales if people could "favorite" closets, and have those closets appear on their feed every time they log in.

I am so glad I watched this video! Especially since a lot of the advice you give on what NOT to do is often touted by others as things TO DO. I am extremely new to PM, so hearing from successful sellers about things to watch out for is incredibly important. Since I don’t have a death/ money pile I have been relisting stale/ old items an for me it has given me some sales on those items ! I figure it is better than nothing !
I've personally mainly made sales by following! When people come to my closet to follow back they see an item they like and typically buy/offer right away or bundle. Users typically skim through a closet since they're on the page already and something may have caught their eye. That's just what has worked for me though!
This was extremely helpful. Thank you so much!!! I always wait to send an offer because I don't want to seem "needy" but WOW was I not reading that correctly. One of the first things I noticed when I started Poshmark was that the sellers I liked that appeared to be really successful had maybe 20 people they followed. And that was it for my follows.

I get way more traffic if I share other people's items. The point is to get people with lots of followers to share back. That way you'll get way more exposure than when you only share to your own followers. You can see in their closets if they share a lot or not and if they're worth interacting with or not.
Hi, Mogi Beth. Great tips as usual. Last week, I started doing 1, 3, and 4 and I sold my items pretty quickly (home run sales 🤗), and consistently. Definitely I’ll follow tip 2, it saves me time and guilt no more. Yay!!! Still feel that you’re the most under rated Poshmark vlogger. You deserved more views and subscribers. Looking forward to your next video. Stay safe! 🤩
I agree with the part regarding the amount of followers. Every single time I made a sale and I check to see if it’s one of my follower/following , it’s always a new person that’s not a follower. After I notice that consistency I stopped the following. Because I would spend a lot of time doing that when I could have been sharing or listing.
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 spot on! I hope this helps a lot of people, I learned this through trial and error lol. I do relist a lot but that’s because I have a smaller closet and I also don’t get inventory as often. Some additional benefits I see is it’s so much quicker to relist than it is to list something new so if you’re trying to do it daily it helps with that practice. Also it gets rid of what I call “stale likes”. People who I’ve sent my lowest possible offer to and they still haven’t purchased, probably don’t want the item. I consistently get new likes and interest on items right when I relist.
That's a great point! Some people like things without the intention to ever buy, relisting can be a way to "refresh" likes so you're not wasting time sending offers to people who are not interested.
I totally agree with you! I think a lot of users are caught up on being a poshmark ambassador and that's why they share other people's closets (at least until they reach the minimum). However I sell on both US and Canadian platforms, one where I'm an ambassador and the other where I am not. The only thing that I have gained with being an ambassador is followers! It has not increased my sales at ALL.
YESSS. The one benefit I have heard is useful from Ambassador status is that after gaining it, you can mark comments as spam and they will disappear. But since I had already completed all the requirements when they rolled out the program, I'm not sure if that's true!
Mogi Beth lol funny you both say this as I’ve been trying to reach Posh Ambassador status for a few days now and spend countless hours sharing other people’s closets since I’ve already reached the other milestones. I was under the impression that you get more of a spotlight or presence in the “Algorithm” or “SEO”. 😞 been wasting my time. Lol
@@catherinewest5609 I'm actually from canada and I use a third party shipper to go across the border to drop off my usps packages. I'm sure you could use a similar service in the states that brings packages across the border to a Canadian post office
Thank you so much for these tips. I’ve only been doing this about 3 weeks now and have made 20 sales on PM and 5 on Mercari. I initially started by waiting a day to make offers but I quickly realized that like myself once I’m done sharing on the app I close it. People do the same because they use it as a pass time and because the feed is MESSY and honestly not new user friendly. So one tip I wanted to share and it’s worked for me is instead of sending private offers to likers I send them an offer by styling them in a bundle this allows me to not be forced into choosing a shipping discount for the item and it really has worked for me my last 7 sales. Being forced to choose a shipping discount and offer a decent price is a little annoying to me so I found this form of offers very useful. Late if I chose to lower the price on the item likers will be notified either email, notification or when they use the app next time. ..... thanks again for the tips I will definitely be going in my closet to adjust some prices.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I've lowered items from 55 to 50. Hoping for some sales. On a side note I absolutely love your aesthetic, I'm sure effort goes into making your videos so nice to watch. Love that you put yourself together so well before recording and the beautiful natural diffused lighting. Truly love your videos.
I always appreciate tips for Poshmark. That being said-I have to say that 99% of the things I personally purchase come from things I’ve seen on my feed or from going to someones closet to follow them or to reciprocate a share. Very rarely do I search for anything specific, especially clothing.
I have been on Poshmark for two days and have made some of the mistakes you said to stop doing and stop waiting time. Good thing I can nip those things in the bud now thanks.
I have been a Poshmark seller for two years now. I haven't shared anyone else's items but mine in many many months. Not important!- I seriously ONLY focus on ME MYSELF and I.
I have thought for so long there is no benefit to sharing other people's closets. Happy to know it's ok to not do that because it does waste your time. I did think it was important to follow people though so I've definitely wasted WAY too much time following others in hopes to get more followers. Why? I don't know.. thinking they would purchase something from me I guess but do I purchase from people I follow? Nope! I purchase through the search. Lesson learned. Great content!
Listing everyday on any platform is super important.. but DEF LIST THE RIGHT THINGS... You can be listing $10 items all day and it won't matter if someone else is listing $50 items and moving them out.. 5 to 1
First- Mogi Beth is a cool name to have. Second- I greatly appreciate your 5 tips. Thank you for your time, and energy, to share this very helpful information. Third- Mogi Beth, you presented your information in a way that made it easy to follow and understand. I've been in customer service for too many years and know you provided excellent explanations. Again, thank you.
Am confused as to your comment of the pricing strategy also working for $25. The first price search is under $25 and the next $25 - 50. So they don't both include $25. I hope I'm missong something because I want to use the strategy on the $25 amount. Thanks
@@termie2612 Hi there!! So it says $25 Under , which makes it sound like it doesn't include $25 like you said. But if you use the filter and then sort High - Low, you'll see that it does include $25!
This is a huge eye opener for me!! I have been trying to follow more people and it definitely has felt like a waste of time. Fantastic video! Thanks so much.
Thank you for this video! I'm a reseller that decided to give the Poshmark app a try. I was actually inspired by your videos to do so :). I instantly became overwhelmed with a ton of follows and shares. I was like how on earth can I keep up with this. I spent the night trying to follow everyone back. I kept trying to share but my number of shares wouldn't go up ( definitely doing something wrong lol). So I gave up for the night and searched your videos for a solution. Thank you so much! I feel much better about Poshmark knowing I don't have to spend a few hours a day following and sharing everyone's items. Not even to be mean to the community there, but who has that kind of time?!
This was actually the most helpful video I’ve ever watched. I often join share events even shop and share events where you have to buy something and I have to say sometimes I do sell a lot if it’s a shop and share but I never sell any more with just share events. So hearing what you said about only sharing your own closet is definitely some thing that I’m going to try to do. And the other tips are extremely helpful as well especially the price point filter. I never actually look at that, so I’m going to check all my listings and see if I can adjust any prices. Thank you so much!
thank you Mogi Beth! I was spending hours sharing other people’s stuff to gain followers. This morning I watched your video and I have a lot more likes sharing my own stuff than ever before. WOW!!! Thank you for sharing your information with such PASSION. I will be a 1st time seller on Posh and am very nervous. Your video has helped me tremendously.
THIS. Oh my gosh yes. I HATED Poshmark when I tried it about a year ago. The social aspect of it was overwhelming and such a waste of time. I've made tons of sales on Mercari, but made zero on Posh. But, thanks to this video, I know what I've been doing wrong! 😉 Thank You!!!
Thanks for clarifying the community sharing and following are not good uses of time , I had cut back a lot but now I’m going to stop them altogether and focus my efforts on better uses of my time.
I just watched this video for the 3rd time. It is reinforcing better habits and letting go of processes that have very little impact on posh sales. 😍😍😍
I've been wanting to sell on Poshmark for a long time now, and this was so helpful! I've seen people talk about sharing other people's closets and other things that you said waste your time, and I'm really thankful for all these tips!
I only share an item of someone elses if they share mine first. Sort of like a reciprocal thanks. But I'm new and have 7 items so I have the time to do so. People have come back after I shared though and reshared the rest of my items after so it probably doesn't matter but people do notice. Thanks for all your tips!!
Ugh I've followed soooo many, shared other peoples closet sooo many times! Ugh. So thank you so much for this video and the great advice. Now to watch the rest of your videos 🙂

Thank you for finally coming clean about all that community sharing...it didn't help my closet, and I am glad to hear you have had the same experience. Have really enjoyed your videos. Great for us newer sellers. Here's to sharing our own closets & supporting others by buying.
So Mogie Beth, thank you for taking the time to create this video. I'm new on poshmark and I don't really get what you mean by sharing your own items. Like who are you sharing them to then? Your followers on poshmark or how does that work?

Why doesn't Poshmark educate use newbies a little bit? I will be following you Mogi! Where is the "bell" for your notifications? I want to follow your posts! THANKS.
Mogi Beth So glad you did! My time is so limited already! I guess this means there’s nothing to listing 5 items per day or 5 items at a time either? Not sure if anyone else has heard that.

Love this and love you.....and Ive got to say.....I agree with your assertions....to a point. Ive been on Poshmark since 2013....just a closet seller and part time thrifter.... In November 2018 I took advantage of an offer from a VA on Instagram to share my closet 3000 times a day for 3 days.... I figured.....why not. Now I had the same items, brands, status in the app etc.....and my sales QUADRUPLED OVERNIGHT. AND.....I wasn't listing....any more or less....nor did my brands all of a sudden become popular....nor did my prices change etc..... Needless to say I haven't looked back....and have stayed consistent at 150+ items sold a month every month...consistently. AND....Ive never gotten over 450 listings....and it took me a year to get there while selling 5 items a day....Sharing allowed me to go fulltime. Sharing is the ACE of selling in my book.....Listing is the King....and good brands, pictures....doing OTL, CCO...etc.....are the Queen, Jack, 10 of a winning hand I live in Las Vegas......and I would love to have a chat with you if you are interested in knowing more.....find me on Instagram.... @realizeu and @realizeuposh.
YESSS!! 👏🏻 but you’re talking about sharing your own closet right?? I think that’s absolutely crucial too!! And I absolutely LOVE your playing card analogy!! That’s perfect! It actually inspires me to try sharing more often and see what happens
@@MogiBeth Yes....sharing my closet as me.... is the ACE....in my book....and I assert that all activity is beneficial... Here is the best Blog written thru the evolution of posh....by a gal i don't know....that I think you will find interesting. (PS...she has several articles addressing different angles..) poshmarkpaige.wordpress.com/2018/12/18/what-is-the-algorithm-how-does-it-affect-me-in-poshmark/
@@MogiBeth AND there is a group out of Denver call Posh Analytics....that spent years....researching and documenting results....and they develped the 30 minute method.. From that there is the assertion that following affects your feed....and who sees you within the app. You may not feel the infuence of the feed shopping....because of the brands you carry....but my sales quadrupled overnight....with the exact same closet....just by sharing my closet 3000 times a day.... The sharing affects the feed....and each persons feed is dependant on who they are following....(I believe...). Searches I PRAY produce results from the entire app......and those items shared most and most recently have the most SEO hits....so they will be the first ones seen.. That is also why doing ENL...once a week...makes a huge difference because ENL will share your item to PINTEREST TOO...as long as you have it connected. Pinterest feeds the SEO beast like no body else either.. Poshmark allows their titles and description (first and last 10 words in the description are key)....to be searched. Ebay only allows their titles. Pinterest is all about SEO search.. AND... THERE IS NO OFFICIAL PLAYBOOK....so it is important to talk these things out.
I love you , I think you're awesome. I learned more on your TH-cam channel than I have on any other Poshmark Channel or Poshmark itself! Thank you, thank you, thank you, you are wonderful. Big hugs and kisses! ♥️♥️♥️
OMG! Lol! I send offers to likers obsessively! I will be watching a movie with my husband and if I see a notification that someone has liked my item, I can’t send an offer fast enough! I even had my mama (she passed away last October) send 20% off and discounted shipping to anyone who liked my items. She did this so I could actually put my phone down for more than six seconds. And GREAT tip on the pricing! I’ve gotta go thru and see what items I have listed close to the $50 range!
Great advice! I'm new tot he app - but something told me that following was a waste of time. I had hundreds of people start following me as soon as I joined the app. It was overwhelming - but I soon realized that would not help. Now, I was spending a lot of time sharing other people's items - so good to know that it doesn't help. So far, I have sold one item - here's hoping it is the first of many!
Wow, you never fail to teach me something new! Thank you so much for the tip about making sure your pricing falls into the Poshmark price ranges - I never thought of that and it is such an awesome tip!
I will say that I use the share button for an unexpected/unintended purpose - using it as a "style board" of sorts. Usually it's items that aren't my size or are out of my price range. I go back through my shares when I need some style inspiration or want to do some detective work and track down a piece of clothing from the board in my size or at a cheaper price.
I am new to Posh and this is hands down the most helpful information I have received in all that I’ve been listening to or reading! Thank you! I could hit you with a million questions but before I do I will watch your other videos! Thanks again ♥️
Fantastic video! I learned and understood your explanations!! I am thrilled to not follow and share others items more time for my closet!! Thank you so much TOP NOTCH advice. ❤️
I could not agree more on all of your points, especially this whole "algorithm" concept. Every time I hear someone mention this I cringe. Poshmark is simple, if you have an item someone wants and they happen to be on Poshmark then you'll make a sale. If you have items that people don't want, you won't make a sale. Very simple and I'm not sure why people try to complicate how it works. Also, the sharing is ridiculous....I'm there to make sales for myself therefore I share my own items.
That's a stupid attitude to have, you share for others, and they share for you, and followers that they have that you don't will then see your stuff, when they maybe wouldn't have before
@@hannahharlow4169 People don't shop by looking at items shared by people they follow. They shop by searching for the item they want. But continue wasting your time if you think so.

Mogi Beth is the purest name I have ever heard. You are the sweetest, girly!
Lol
How can you sell to Canada?
Hello! How do you send them an offer by styling then in a bundle on PM without giving them a shipping discount? Im needing some help. Thank you.
Omg thank you for the $55 tip! I have some items priced at that I’m going to relist those items tonight.
Yayy!! So happy to hear that! 💗✨
I have been selling on Poshmark for a few months now and I’m so glad I came across your video, so helpful.
Blown away by this, but it does make sense! I’m trying it out starting tomorrow! So, list, send offer to likers and share my closet only!
Super helpful! Thanks Mogi Beth! I never thought about the $55 or $105 thing but it makes so much sense! I’m also SO glad I stopped community shares!
YESSSSS. I have too!! Very well said!!
I do share others closet items ( a few) because I find people share back and sometimes buy.
Listing everyday on any platform is super important.. but DEF LIST THE RIGHT THINGS... You can be listing $10 items all day and it won't matter if someone else is listing $50 items and moving them out.. 5 to 1
Could u explain whst u mean
Do explain sucka
I don’t get this
I am thinking of starting to sell my clothes and my son's clothes on Poshmark. This video convinced me to start. Thank you.
Thank for your time and sharing your successes and things not to do. I will be using your tips. Blessings
Genius pricing tip!! Would also work for $25 price point for those like me that have lower value items as well. Love this! Re-pricing tonight!!!💕
YESSS! 100%!! I added that in a little pop up, but forgot to mention it!
@@MogiBeth Thank you for responding, I did what you suggested and see what you mean. Went and changed some of my pricing. Thanks :)
This is a huge eye opener for me!! I have been trying to follow more people and it definitely has felt like a waste of time. Fantastic video! Thanks so much.
👏🏻💗✨yayyy!! SO happy to hear that!
I LOVE Augusten Burroughs! Running With Scissors was the best.
thank you Mogi Beth! I was spending hours sharing other people’s stuff to gain followers. This morning I watched your video and I have a lot more likes sharing my own stuff than ever before. No sale yet, but likes lead to sales. Thank you so much also for the 50 brands guide. I had never heard of any of those brands before.
Finally a TH-cam video on selling on PM that I understood your reasoning and will definitely utilize your suggestions..all make sense...so happy I found you and will check often to learn more helpful tips on selling...and whatever other valuable tips you are sharing..Thanks again...
Thank you, Mogi!
I have a PM info notebook; you’re there under Mogi Notes🌸❣️ You are incredibly helpful‼️
Please, if you can, please do a pricing video?
Thanks again and stay well and safe🌷
I have been watching lots of PM videos. Yours is the best so far, thank you. To the point, you stayed on topic, and I learned 5 very important points about PM. I now have the knowledge I need to make my store successful, thank you!
This was so helpful for a yet-to-post Poshmark seller! Thank you!!
You literally answers my Q about sharing other ppls listings lol I see ppl with 250k + shares and I’m like how?!! It’s crazy!
I've been watching your videos and following your advice! I've already sold 4 items in my first 4 days on poshmark!! Thank you! 🥰
Great video !!! I’d love to see if you would change anything at this point or if all your tips remain the same. Many thanks !
WOW!!! Thank you for sharing your information with such PASSION. I will be a 1st time seller on Posh and am very nervous. Your video has helped me tremendously.
Outstanding! I am new to Poshmark and have watched several videos, but learned more from you about how to spend my time on this platform. Thank You!!
I really needs to hear this. I will be changing my strategy on Poshmark.
I've been wanting to sell on Poshmark for a long time now, and this was so helpful! I've seen people talk about sharing other people's closets and other things that you said waste your time, and I'm really thankful for all these tips!
have you tried Closet Tools? closet.tools/?via=discount
Thanks for the added value. New to Poshmark and I thought sharing others closet helped me somehow. I'm glad I found this video.
Wow!!! I plan to get started on poshmark soon and have watched tons of videos from various sellers. Your video has by far been the most useful and informative. You definitely have a new follower and I will recommend to anyone wanting to get started on poshmark. Seriously impressed! Thank you!
Awesome! Thank you!
Thanks for your tips that really work. Just sharing, updating price and offering private offer then 2 items sold within 1 hour
Lots of golden nuggets shared! this is probably one of the BEST videos I have watched when it comes to tips for resellers on Poshmark. Thank you Mogi Beth for sharing your experience!
Very helpful! As a new Poshmark seller you have really clarified some things I’ve wondered about. You’re a sharp cookie! 👏🏼 Thank you!
It’s the stop sharing tips that help thank you
Thank you for finally coming clean about all that community sharing...it didn't help my closet, and I am glad to hear you have had the same experience.
FINALLY! I have an understanding of the algorhythm, sharing, pricing, etc that I've never understood before! Only been poshing for a couple of months of "spinning my wheels". Why doesn't Poshmark educate use newbies a little bit? I will be following you Mogi! Where is the "bell" for your notifications? I want to follow your posts! THANKS.
This confirmed exactly what I had been thinking but no one was saying!! Many many thanks to you!!!
Yesssss 💗✨ Same! I've been thinking and telling people in person this for a while, but it was time to share it publicly!!
Mogi Beth So glad you did! My time is so limited already! I guess this means there’s nothing to listing 5 items per day or 5 items at a time either? Not sure if anyone else has heard that.
Thank you so much for this!!! This was so helpful! I just started selling today and had no ideas what I was doing. Because of COVID-19 I was out of both my jobs. Thank you again, stay home and stay safe!!!!
Please reach out on PM if you ever have any questions - I'm at @mofashionesq on PM. I too was a newbie recently and know the feeling of not knowing what to do (exactly).Take care.
New to Poshmark. Like the tip about 55 and 105, will use it. Thank you for sharing your experience
NEWBIE IN POSHMARK, VERY HELPFUL!! THANK YOU SO MUCH ❤
I love you , I think you're awesome. I learned more on your TH-cam channel than I have on any other Poshmark Channel or Poshmark itself! Thank you, thank you, thank you, you are wonderful. Big hugs and kisses! ♥️♥️♥️
That's so nice of you to say! I'm glad I can help! 🤗🥰
Yes other than the price point tip I learned all of that when I started. Thank you for getting the word out!!!!! Great video!
OMG!
Very, very helpful tips!! Thanks so much for sharing. I’m guilty of spending so much time sharing other’s closets out of sheer obligation.
Wow, you never fail to teach me something new! Thank you so much for the tip about making sure your pricing falls into the Poshmark price ranges - I never thought of that and it is such an awesome tip!
YAY!! SO happy to hear that! Thank you!! 💗💗💗
I downloaded Poshmark last month and so far have made $180 the app is great 😆
I am new to Posh and this is hands down the most helpful information I have received in all that I’ve been listening to or reading! Thank you!
I could hit you with a million questions but before I do I will watch your other videos! Thanks again ♥️
Thank you so much for these tips! So super helpful! I have wasted many hours following and sharing others items and I HATE doing it! No more! ❤️
Fantastic video! I learned and understood your explanations!! I am thrilled to not follow and share others items more time for my closet!! Thank you so much TOP NOTCH advice. ❤️
Thanks for the Input! I'm fairly new as a poshmark seller and I wondered about all those things. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge with us :)
Me too! it is hard out here both as a small youtuber and new posher! You got this. Do you mind sharing your closet? Would like to check it out
I could not agree more on all of your points, especially this whole "algorithm" concept.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 well said!!
That's a stupid attitude to have, you share for others, and they share for you, and followers that they have that you don't will then see your stuff, when they maybe wouldn't have before
So, no, not at all well said
@@hannahharlow4169 People don't shop by looking at items shared by people they follow. They shop by searching for the item they want. But continue wasting your time if you think so.
Sharing other people’s business does help me. It helps them also.
You are spreading the TRUTH and that’s why you’re the best :)
I only wish I viewed this video 3 yrs ago! You are so right. Xoxo
