Wanna know why all the sharks wanted even more to invest in this company? Because aside from their product being an innovative reading glasses that can be clipped as a bracelet, the father is the founder of 2 companies, one of which is Gorilla glue which he sold and have still been getting royalties from. To which Kevin expectedly said "did you say royalties?" Mark (the father) invested about $630,000 into the Eyeris business. When the sharks asked why they were there/need a shark when clearly, money isn't a problem, the father said "Your most valuable commodity isn't your money. It's your time. You can always make more money, but you can't make more time. Time gone by is gone forever. I don't have it in me.. to build another company. My time has passed. My main reason for being here is to leave Kenzo in good hands. And by that, I mean, with successful, smart, honest, and ethical people like yourselves." So they went all in. Even Barbara dare not say "I'm out."

I love ingenious inventions and these guys deserve a lot of credit but let's talk about the product. How can it be comfortable on your wrist *or* on your face? Seems it would pinch your temples and hand, and get scratched when not in use, etc. Anybody here try them on?

I feel like having all 5 sharks with 25K with 4% each would make some of them passive investors.. I would rather take 2 good fit sharks for lesser equity.
I rather all 5 sharks because in the long run you never know who your going to do future business with. Just to have all 5 contacts is worth it.

I wonder how they split the company between them. I‘ll guess Barbara, Kevin and Damond bought 4% at $25k each. Mark bought 2,5% at $15-20k and Lori bought the remaining 5,5% at $30-35k$

They probably discussed multiple backup offers without showing it to you. And that was one of the offers they had agreed on.

Not the greatest negotiators. Says '15% if our limit' amongst themselves then immediately counters at 20% to the investors.

Could be editing. Sharks didn't say 20% either but Lori agreed immediately.
Also, the biggest factor is that they were only asking for $25k but got $125k in the end, the 15% threshold may not factor in getting $125k but perhaps $25k. Sure, they gave up 5% more than the limit he said, but that's a higher valuation than what they came in with.

The product was a magnetic pair of glasses. His son is an engineer and made the glasses. His father actually produced the glue - gorilla glue so because his father has a royalty after selling gorilla glue he wanted to make sure his son was in good hands because there isn’t enough “time” in the world and he’s already up there in age and can’t do another business venture.
So the glasses are on the wrist like a bracelet and can be worn on the face whenever without forgetting your pair of glasses. You have to watch the full speech because his speech was very emotional.
