I don' think he is ill, but he does look old and he definitely knows and feels if he doesn't have the same energy like he used to so he wants to make sure to do all important job while he can

Dad is loaded, but knows legacy is with his son, not his cash. His life’s work wasn’t to turn his son into a shark, but to provide the tools needed for his son to learn to swim.

I love how Cuban is always the first to speak for the group and give ideas. Offering to give himself 3% while everyone else gets more is so honest of him. He’s really my favorite shark.

According to Google the dad is worth 300M$ and yet he is so humble. Doesn’t brag much, didn’t reveal his profit from selling the company (sharks had to pull it out with questions), just kept it simple. Love this guy! Wish him the best health!

That speech that the Dad gave for why coming to shark tank, it really struck a nerve. It was never always about the money but rather to make sure your love one are cared for in the long run. I hope their business become huge and successful.
This is my absolute favorite shark tank episode. The humbleness, the honesty, the pain, the healing. The ending. So excited!

Its the utility that they are buying more than anything else. They know that this will be licensed given to athletes and celebs to look cool and the money will come back. Lets not fool yourself, a 500,000 valuation is nothing
The best and utmost motivating episode in Shark Tank history.. I have recently lost my Dad and he was my powerhouse.. This guy is so lucky to have his Dad around !!
This pitch really hits me right here. My mom has Stage-4 Breast Cancer, and I felt that my world came down since I knew it prior to the diagnosis. I feel that this father gave me a new meaning to me than ever; I want to reiterate, “You can’t make more time, and time gone by is gone forever.” That made me find the importance of time to loved ones, even in friendships.

I hope this invention blows up huge. I loved the pitch, loved the heartfelt truth from the dad, and loved the reaction from the sharks. Downright human, respectful negotiation. One of my fave shark tank moments thus far.
One of the best pitches I’ve ever seen from any of these shows, probably the all around best. Really enjoyed this one. Someone in the comments mentioned the dad must be facing some sort of illness, but it’s just his own mortality. He doesn’t want to work anymore, and he wants to make sure his family is able to live life the way he is. Love this guy, love this product.
Dad’s time is limited…..or that is the impression I get. He is already a successful businessman. He loves his son….his family and it looking out for them. Amazing father/son team. I wish them the absolute best!

This is certainly for a particular consumer. Many older people are on a fixed budget so just buying a necklace attachment or similar would make more sense at this price
With all 5 sharks I am sure they are going to be able to get the landed manufacturing costs lower and will be able to take the product to market at a lower price point. We will see!

I’ve been binge watching and some of the older episodes of the male sharks being cold and boot showing empathy are cringe worthy but the newer episodes that show the sharks exhibiting compassion like this one are amazing… I wonder if they feel like the son would be an asset to design for other business ventures! What a lucky man to have such a humble father who loves you
I work a full time job, my time is wasted on being in an office most of my awake hours, spent with people I didn't choose to be with, for money that barely allows me to get by. Having money buys you time. It buys you life experiences. Having money means you can have more free time to do what you want and be with the people you love.

They were asking $25k for 5% which is $500k valuation and ended up $125k for 20% which is also the same valuation of their company. And best of all, they get all 5 sharks. Amazing.
They actually left with a valuation of $625k. If they had accepted the Sharks offer of 25% for $125k, then the valuation would have remained at $500k.
