Does anyone else remember the dark days of Warhammer, when all we had for undercoats were Chaos Black and Skull White and that was it? We didn't even have airbrushes 20 years back.
Waited 5 month for this model to be delivered, watched this video like 10 times while waiting for it. Feels like it took me a whole 15-20 min to paint him up just to be looking pretty on a shelf since he's now stupidly OP as a model. What do i do now....
I just picked up a metal version of this model at a jumble sale. Came across this video when I was searching for painting guidelines. Don't have an airbrush but I found the color palette choices very useful and I'm following those steps (except for the gray paint because my necrons have a different colored base and besides, Administratum Grey is discontinued). Great guide.
Brilliant tutorial. I just purchased my airbrush, but was unsure what to start with from my necrons. This looks like a relatively simple starting point. Thanks for sharing. Suggestion: Please could you move the camera to the opposite side or elevate it a little for future tutorials, as your hand obstructs the model a good percentage of the time and it's hard to see the finer details you are airbrushing.
i would except more detailed painting style not just airbrush and done... i prefer much higher painting standards and wanted to see them in this video.
I disliked this because of the fact that this is behind a paywall, why not just monetise the video by enabling ads? We pay enough for these models and other things to fully paint and assemble these. There are no guides on youtube on how to paint the nightbringer or deceiver anywhere.
it has always been a stunning model and one of the best gw ever made, in my opinion.

I just got him and he is amazingly cool! I don't have an air brush though...doubt I can recreate the same look with a brush...
You could replicate the effect by drybrushing, and it could be better, since it leaves the darker colors in the recesses
