the shot at 6:25 with the best commentary ever, "... he's just checking that everyone saw that" sums up his joie de vivre too well. (I chuckle every time I replay that one.)

Nope...nope...not even close...he's disgusting 90% of the time and 1% of the time he wins with lobs, tweener and 50 aces in a match ...idk about the other 9%
He reminds of a guy I used to play football with. He used produce a breathtaking piece of skill to beat a player and then proceed to trip over the ball when in the clear. Drove me mad!!!
Tennis should incorporate a "Balk" rule for situations like: 4:50 Bublik misses his first serve in an under-arm attempt, then as he is bouncing the ball, fakes the under arm serve again, then hits an overhead serve, and saves a break point from a missed return.
my coach used to play junk like this at me, drove me mad, taught me a lot about playing smart, hard to be smart when frustrated. He always laughed it off, greatest smile ever, James Jack where you at!
Bublik is a much better version of Kyrgios in my opinion. He does some pretty wild stuff on court a lot, but you don't see him acting like a spoilt brat like Kyrgios does (or, correct me if I'm wrong, smashing racquets), and sometimes he actually puts his head down and plays a solid, measured game. I actually like him a lot. He's pretty funny, and doesn't take himself too seriously. He may not win anything like a grand slam, but I think he may win at least a few big tournaments in his career. His doubles results have been pretty good this year from having a quick look at his wikipedia article.
He did an AMA on reddit a while back, was pretty funny. He's like a Kyrgios minus the shitty personality, temper, obnoxious fans... and domestic violence claims.
When I watched this video back in 2022 I didnt know too much about tennis and this player. The thumbnail looks like it's a very strong and hard-hitting player, then the video starts with an awkward double fault...🤐
