Spaniards and Italians. It’s in their blood to dramatically fall lol. (yes I know he’s of Swedish and Russian descent but he was born and raised in Spain. He’s culturally Spanish).
Over the last 15-18 years, the top 4 or 5 men have treated each other with respect. I imagine that sets a tone for the younger players. Credit to their upbringings as well.
@Vernelle Douglas - AND this is why MURRAY should stay at home - your statement is so true and there is no place for someone like him who is a disgusting human being who is salty as hell and cannot take a loss with dignity! He is full of gamesmanship and he should really just stay at home after his failed comeback.
Yeah, the younger generation is definitely much more respectful and also joyful. The re are so many great funny video with them and they are not taking themselves so seriously as the older generations.
@ Erian Maxčič - I cannot agree more fun with rivalries that they don’t take too seriously! All lovely young people - Murray is really spoiling the vibe since his US open outbursts- also against the match with Paul where he was shouting at the umpire - he is just overrated and it’s going to his head!
just me over here in 2024 in a tennis video rabbithole and it's unbelievable how much Sinner and Alcaraz have grown up since these clips. Time is wild, man.
Unfortunately it's fans are extremely toxic and act like a bunch of five year olds. Obviously this doesn't apply to all tennis fans, but a large portion of them are like this.
Nahhhh Murray the BULLY is the saltiest by far! Nothing that any of the other players do, have done can come close to slandering a fellow player on Twitter - it was condemned by everyone in the tennis world - ex players spoke about his behaviour during the US open so no Murray is the most disgusting player on tour and he is a grandpa compared to the next gen but they shouldn’t have any respect for him as he is a horrible loser
@G - how is it dumb? I think we should all call out bullying when we see it as it’s a terrible aspect or life that affects young kids all over the world? So not sure why it’s seen as dumb? I feel quite good for calling him out for his nasty personality and bullying!
Both Kgyrios and Murray the two buddies who are the most disgusting players on tour should not be in this video? Saw a video once where Kgyrios is telling Murray that he is better than Djokovic and Murray lying there agreeing and not refuting the claim? PMSL - Murray needs to F off so badly and so does his buddy Kgyrios - Djokovic probably still laughing after watching that video conversation - Murray and Kgyrios can never be on that Level and I am not even a Novak fan!
Lol I know. When I saw the category I thought at least that’s one that he can get nominated for. Then I didn’t see his name but I thought surely he’s won one in his career - then I saw Fed has like 17 and nadal has 3-4. Not only taking all GS in the past 2 decades but also the one award that can encourage a wider field of players. Seriously discouraging for the other players out there, ATP can’t tell me no one else has deserved a sportsmanship award. And I love love both Fed and Nadal!!
@Millenium13 Constantin - the fact that Murray was included in this video is shocking! He is the nastiest player on tour - so the fact that he made it to this video tells you that it is not to be taken seriously!!!
I wouldn't call the one at 15:35 good sportsmanship. He knew it was a double bounce, kept playing and after you could hear people not liking it he decided to give the point. Bad sportsmanship from Andujar
I think Pablo didn't notice it was a double bounce, but since Ivo was so sure, he conceded the point. And even if Pablo was trying to get away with the double bounce, he eventually conceded the point, so it is still a good sportmanship moment.
I cannot agree more! Not just Zverev but as soon as Murray returned the whole overall vibe on tour just spoilt - the next gen full of life and not perfect but since grandpa Murray and his metal hip is back it’s all nastiness and just horrible bullying going on
@@lgal7289 yes... I guess Zverev said that because he knows that he was considered as the "bad guy" on tour, and then when he won gold, he was like "okay, now I have to sound nice... let's accuse the guy (Tsitsipas) that everybody loves on tour, like this I will appear as someone pure etc etc who only says the truth"... and then Murray, the player who goes crazy and disrespectful against everybody but who is excused because he's doing a little coming back. I can't stand this...
@Vinca L. - I cannot agree more with you! What I don’t understand and it just shows you how sick this world is - people going on and on about T using the toilet but no one go on and on about Z and the abuse allegations? So going to the toilet to change your soaking wet clothes is a worse crime than choking your girlfriend? Where Murray is concerned - he is not making the impact he was hoping for, sorry I just laughed out loud, shame what a waste of wildcards, he is a failure and he knows it too. What I don’t understand though why is he back? What is he trying to actually do? Let’s face it he is a has been that is actually a never been and I cannot see him winning another 1st round match talkless about another GS!
@Vinca L. - I love how his fans go on and on about the old metal hip - instead of making me feel sympathy it has the opp effect on me - NAUSEA 🤢🤮! They are using it as a weapon and an excuse.
There are many players who treat others with lots of respect and care for others, but other players wouldn't care less for other players whatsoever. I remember a lady player who's pretty popular, but at least two occasions, when the other players got hurt, and she wouldn't even look her opponent and just she'd go on about her business.
Thiem really is surprisingly the nicest guy in the Thiem-Family, my friend has opened the door for his brother and dad, they didnt greet, didnt appreciate it, nothing. Even though his dad is quiete nice because i have trained with him, Thiem's brother is an absolute joke
True! A lot of respect for Nik B and he became one of my favourite players that day on tour! A class act and does things so quietly without fanfare! Murray should not be on this video as he is a disgusting player- so agreed Nik B should have been included
Not even really a sportship moment in the first clip because that ball is clearly in midair when layani corrects the call. Surely they can reverse these kind of umpiring mistakes nowadays?!
Real MVP in all this is Fokina's ankles...
Facts my G
Its not a Davidovich Fokina match if he does not have an absolutely dramatic fall.
I know right - I was thinking that guy is appearing way too many times in this video lol
Same lmaooo 14:57

Met him in Roland Garros 2023, he stayed after his victory during twenty minutes to sign autograph and take pics with all stadium. Realy a great human
Not Thiem barely playing on tour this year but still making an appearance on this video. Class act!
True but also Cicak (Umpire) handled it well imo
Davidovich and the floor. Bromance.
Great to see my favorite rivalry featured so many times: Davidovich Fokina vs THE GROUND.

Medvedev is a class act I swear man
i couldn’t agree more. people hate on him a bit too much for being himself.
Both Medvedev and Thiem are class acts. I really hope Thiem comes back stronger. I wouldn't mind seeing either of those two winning at AO next month.
Agreed, sometimes he's a bit like grouchy smurf, but that's funny 😅

Really great to see the sportsmanship of each and every player ❤️!!!
Davidovich Fokina looking really cursed in this video, damn
Dimitrov is naturally warm, kind and charismatic.
Fokina was a stuntman before he took up professional tennis.
Goodness me, Fokina's fall against Hurkacz on clay looked nastyyy
5:38 Alcaraz turns down Rafa's invitation to train together on Sunnday haha.
Doesn't Davidovich Fokina know how to slide? Or at least give the man new shoes! Geez!
Dimitrov the most gentleman ❤❤
Bublik & Dimitrov have such MASSIVE BDE on court it's Crazy, & I love EVERY time they step on court. 🤟🤣 #ClassActs

Davidovich fell to the floor, it doesn't matter when you read this

my favorite TennisTV video of the year thx!
2:24 amazing friendship!!! 😄😎👍
Davidovich Fokina falls every time he is winning man, dang, the guy loves to play hard mode xD
Davidovich Fokina man he always falls down🤐
Notice all the “sportsmanship” moments occur at 40-0 or 40-15 down a few breaks in the set 😂
Fokina's ankles are begging for mercy
Mr. Medvedev, a real gentleman, well done!!
Fokina or the art of falling dramatically in his matches ;)
That is the definition of W content
