Family adventure series THE GIFTED, from 20th Century Fox Television in association with Marvel Television, tells the story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive. I really think Lauren was distant with Andy because she knows that Andy believes in the inner circle, so he won't stay with them and she didn't want to get her hopes up like how her parents did.
It was that Hollywood123 R, and also Lauren deep down feels a lot of the same things Andy does but she is in denial and trying to pretend not, so she is massively overcompensating by saying super anti Inner Circle stuff
Alexander Platypus now you are just making things up. Lauren has never shown the same mindset as the Inner Circle and never believed in them. How in the world do you fail to realise that Lauren is a good person who doesn't agree with their methods?!
JordanSeaborn yeah but he wasn't willing to talk to her and instead chose to throw and hurt his sister physically and emotionally. I totally get her anger.
I also think that it's adorable how Andy deep down wants to specifically see and be with Lauren. Like yeah, he obviously misses his parents but it's kinda obvious when he looks at her directly at 0:39

I am so glad Caitlin, Reed, and Andy bonded in a sweet touching way. That was really happy for me
If just they stopped judging him and just enjoyed the moment without telling him that what he's doing is bad. No one is right if wrong in this scene if you look at it from a more neutral viewpoint, Marcos has rig to be upset at Lorna since he never really knew his daughter and Lorna has her hidden in a place Marcos doesn't know about and Lorna is also right to be upset at Marcos for being so naive, insecure, coward and because it was him who didn't want to talk to her in here. Reed and Caitlin were worried sick about Andy all these months and they got their right to be upset at a son who went away and hasn't been with them like Lauren has and a son who's not aware of all the crisis his family has his through but at the same time, Andy is right to be upset at his parents and sister for judging him and not understanding what he wants to fight for and how it benefits them all in the end and for preferring things to remain the way they are. The only neutral in here is Blink

Lorna deep down puts Reeva's agenda over Andy's well being and even his life, she doesn't care too much about him deep down. Andy should definitely return home.
I mean, there wasn't a ton of that in this episode though lol. And it looks like Lorna and Andy might end up as enemies at some point if she goes back to Marcos which seems to be happening (unfortunately)
Lorna thinks in doing Reeva's plans and telling Andy to do so because she knows Reeva could kill Andy if he doesn't......Lorna cares for Andy and Andy cares for Lorna.....they are really friends

Yes but changing in a harsh world when everything around you has also changed is actually very sane. Not changing in those circumstances would be nuts (aka his parents)
His sister is still trying to pretend nothing is different but deep down she knows she is changing too
Like Alexander says, you don't go through a lot of trauma without changing, trust me I went through a lot in my teenage years and it certainly changed me. And if characters didn't change there wouldn't really be that much character development, I like him even more in Season 2 than I did before

Lauren wanted to be with her brother desperately and they have a special bond that can alter their emotions and thoughts against their will. So, it wasn't HER that was having those feelings, it was the force and bond between her and Andy. She's scared and hates the feelings that she has, that's why she acts the way she does. Andy embraced it, she didn't because she doesn't wanna become a monster like her great grandparents.

Lauren showed she has aggressive impulses before - in season 1 SHE was ready to kill everyone when her and Andy were about to be captured, HE stopped her. Her fury at Dr Reisman. Etc. The show simply lost its courage to truly keep her story going and abruptly made her "good girl" out of absolutely nowhere. Her entire character arc was clearly headed towards villain. The way she threatened that landlord etc. The concept it was all just Fenris is a little too convenient. Also whether their great grandparents were "monsters" is very debatable - they were fighting to advance mutantkind against oppressive humans it seemed.

I want the gifted back as well I miss watching the show I miss the entire cast members I miss every episodes they've done when the show began but I am still beyond upset that I not only never saw the show again that the show never came back I hate that every show I get into right now just gets canceled and remove for nothing first Gotham of Bruce Wayne and selina kyle was on the verge of cancellation but they had no choice but to end it with the fifth and final season then the gifted which just season one and two but never did more again but I hope that they will all come back again and finish what they started because either way the gifted is forever my favorite x-men show always and forever including Gotham Lucifer everything always and forever for all three of my favorite shows.

I'm really happy they "accepted" him, it should be more why is he accepting them? He has every right to be upset with them as well but they both put it aside to be a family (except Lauren who was being super salty)
+Alexander Platypus No one is right or wrong in this scene, everyone has reasons to feel upset with the other, Marcos has right to feel upset with Lorna since she didn't allow him to know anything about their daughter and still keeps her hidden without letting Marcos know where Dawn is being kept. Lorna has her right to feel upset at Marcos since he's too naive and he doesn't see reality for what it is and because he pretends to keep things the same as before as if nothing has changed when the only way for mutants to have a future is fighting for it, even if it means that humans will see them as heartless monsters (and humans already see mutants like that). The only one who remained neutral there was Blink and I think that's because the only person she apparently share a deep emotional bond with is John and while she cares too for Marcos, the Struckers (especially Lauren) and Lorna, she hasn't developed such a big emotional bond with them as she has done with John

All of season 2 = Underground viciously hating on and attacking Inner Circle. Inner Circle leaving Underground alone and just trying to help mutants against an oppressive human society.

Thank God that Lauren isn't just accepting Andy's behavior and welcoming him with open arms. She is truly a good older sister!
He needs to understand that he is going down a VERY dark path and I hope that Lauren is able to lead him away from it.
He is doing what nobody else can. He and Lauren were given enormous power, it's up to them to "fix this world" and prevent mutant oppression.
The Underground won't do what it takes, I have a feeling Lauren will get it at some point. When he opened up to her about Rebecca she softened her judgement some and started to feel more for her bro and realize maybe not everything is quite as black and white the way Marcos and Caitlin pretend

Alexander Platypus he is going down a dark path though. But he is doing what no one else can, which I can agree with. But the fact that he tortured that man by breaking his legs for trying to kill Lauren, it just shows how bad he is like the purifiers. And when he was torturing that guy, he couldn’t even control himself until Lauren had to say his name so many times and eventually grab him.

@JordanSeaborn Oh yeah definitely. The Parents have always been that way though Caitlin literally is a human of course she won't have the same deep feelings of wanting to end mutant oppression. Reed is 90% human and he used to be PART of that oppression. So of course they don't understand. His sister is the only hope Andy has of reconnecting with family ever

She was rather bitchy to him honestly. But she started to soften when he spoke about Rebecca and they worked together really well. Then he punished a Purifier for trying to kill her. So it was ok

Andy let his power go to his head and he became destructive. Lauren doesn't wanna let her powers get the best of her. She's even said how she hates the feelings that comes with her powers. She pushes Andy away because he's a reminder of her inner self; which isn't necessarily her true self. If she was truly power hungry like that, she would have given into Andy and the triplets when they tried to manipulate her and would have turned her back on her friends and family.

I don't hate Lauren at all I actually like her a lot because I feel it's inevitable she will join her brother. So to me I view all these struggles as just drama and character development along the way to that
Alexander Platypus Marcos ain’t a villain, the inner circle are doing something good but Marcos was angry after all Lorna gave birth to dawn and then gave her away without letting Marcos bond with his daughter, I don’t hate Andy either his powers are amazing but I do prefer Lauren as she has been through a lot she hid she was a mutant, she left her old life behide which she really wanted back, she lost 2 boyfriends, she killed 17 people and regretted it, not being strong enough against Andy, parents always wanting Andy back and paying hardly any attention to her. I’m not saying that none of them haven’t been through a lot cuz they have ok
@@hopey6264 Yeah Lauren has suffered too but her old "human" life was a lot better than Andy's was. She was popular and he was picked on. I'm not blaming her for that but it's a fact. So of course he will be a more angry character overall.
But like you said, she has had to hide being mutant and deal with guilt and she has had bubbling up feelings of resentment against humans for how they treat mutants.
Part of why I think she will join Andy at some point.
Marcos is a complete hypocrite I hate him to be honest. I am not giving him any excuse he wanted to explode the car and kill Lorna and Andy. He is a nut. End of story. He also abuses Fade and does other things to fellow mutants which just make him a vicious bully really. Pure hypocrite who acts like he is so good and holy. Marcos sucks
