Does This Prove That Scorch Survived!? | Bad Batch Season 3 Theory.

- In this video I break down a theory that Clone Commando Scorch of Delta Squad managed to survive his fight with Hunter and Crosshair in the finale of Bad Batch Season 3 while protecting doctor Hemlock and Omega.
This could just be an animation error also. I am open to suggestions.

After watching this scene again and paying attention to what a few people in my comments section have told me. There actually is more than one Scorch model being used in the wideshot in which this screenshot is taken from. This is now 100% an animation error as opposed to being confirmation of Scorch's survival.
Also for anyone interested check out my other Lego stop motion content!.
nahh man, Scorch has 3 lifes left, thats why he's there 3 times
Sure, multiple Scorch models absolutely is an animation error, but who's to say that one of them couldn't actually be him?
@@CloneCommanderCrater1102 I dont know how much time passed since the chaos, but I think scorch is more likely to be on a medical station or something like that. (he better gets his bacta)

Jun A266: A Star Wars Story
@@troopergio”There were several conflicting reports as to how Jun made it safely off-world. One report, designated ITEM/466F41.LV, describes him crossing paths with elements of Operation: WHITE GLOVE, during which time several UNSC personnel were lost in an encounter with a pair of Mgalekgolo and a squad of Special Operations Sangheili. However, Covenant artillery and orbital impacts in the area make the details of this report appear suspect. Another account had Jun rendezvous with Beta-Red for an exfil run. A third report detailing his escape was later noted as being too ridiculous to consider being true.”
-Halopedia
Essentially the last story from what I’ve heard is something about him climbing a space elevator before escaping and the first one is a reference to a fan comic that 343 for whatever reason hasn’t ever made canon so in lore it’s just a conflicting story for Jun

It’s definitely the scorch model, but you can see three other scorches in the same shot. One in the middle standing on some rubble, one in the shadows, and another scorch on the far left. They probably meant to use the basic republic commando character model for this scene.
I did not notice that at first. Thank you for letting me know there are other models of Scorch being used. So we can now confirm that is is just an animation error.
@@troopergio wdym? His chances to survive just have been tripled
@@troopergiothere is no such thing as an animation error, I think if I recall correctly there was some animation error in TCW or RoTS and it ended up becoming canon. So maybe they are just Commandos with Scorches armor and the Commando who died isn’t scorch.
Thats nonsense. So the floating clone helmet and the clone with no arms are both canon? How are clone paintjobs changing midscene? @Vor1ki
@@lucasschultzThe "floating" helmet wasn't actually floating. If you look close enough at that scene, then you can see that that clone is actually just behind a short wall.

It did feel like a bit of a cheap death for such a badass clone commando. Wasn't really a fan of how he was handled in the show overall.
@@troopergio neither was i
Obviously, basically they caught Delta squad so they tried cloning them but they got away and off kamino then joined Rex’s squad, Fixer and Boss went to do something while scorch worked as a spy because there was 2 of him and when the bad one died they had no proof the fake died. You could tell which from which because the bad one is the one that is always fighting them
He's dead good riddance
That and the armor has a stasis mode. Or whatever the term may be when you go down temporarily until revived a mini bacta jump-starter.
Remember when Scorch shot Gregor with the blue tibanna gas shots back in Season 1? Gregor was hit twice and survived. These red shots shouldn't really have hurt Scorch that badly unless plot armour decided the actual armour didn't matter
I'm not sure but I heard that Scorch's visor is off when he starts falling... And let's be honest - If they wanted for Scorch to survive, we would see him somewhere talking to Tarkin or trying to get back to the base or whatever

If hunter can survive a fall from a cliff in the episode where they rescue gregor,so can scorch.
I think he did survie:
Dr. Hemlock took 5 shots to the chest and finally died without armor.
Scorch had Katarn class armor and only took 4 shots to the chest (5 in total). But he actually HAD armor.
If Hemlock kinda survived or at least continued to stand after 4 shots without armor Scorch should have definitely survived with his armor.
If he didn't survive then this is probable a sign from Disney that Delta Squad doesn't have a future or it isn't a very bright one.
Delta squad TV show is happening as it hinting for a prequel to the bad batch
It would make the most logical sense for him to be able to survive that given how Kartan armour in TBB was shown to be able to provide the wearer with very good protection against blaster fire and fall damage. So given what TBB has already established, there's no reason they couldn't bring him back at a later date and say he survived. However I doubt they'll do that since it's Disney but who knows.

My theory is that the clone commandos was not originally meant to be Scorch at all.
In promo posters the commando next to hemlock is a regular white armor one, same with one shot where they did not add scorchs markings.
Anyway this show did nothing for the clone commandos sadly.
The only thing the show did for the Commandos was nerf them into oblivion. Shame really.
@@troopergio Sadly they acted just like the regular troopers not elite commandos. Hope they do something with Clone Commandos in the future but do it RIGHT.

Bruh you fuckers are overreacting so god damn much. "OMG he died I'm literally done". Like STFU and get out LOL
It was probably to draw more fans into the show. Which sucks because if you're going to do that you should at least make Scorch a more formidable opponent for the bad batch. Rather than just some minor b tier villain
@@troopergio Bro I feel like that if they didn't bring him there, and they would use some OC Commando guy, the OC would've probably done more than Scorch did in the entire series.

@@troopergio Filoni didn't write or direct any Bad Batch episode in any season
"He was alive! I FELT IT!"
It seems in your anger you killed him
Unironically, it could be as simple as one of the animators disagreed with the decision to kill him off and this is their protest.
It's obviously a clone of Scorch. How else would there be multiple Scorches in this shot?
ik it's really just an animation error and they probably meant to use the standard or striped clone commando model.
This is 100% factual can confirm
Maybe somehow he slowed down his falling so then he landed on Hemlocks soft body. Yeah! 100%
I mean, Hunter survived a similar fall back in season 1 because of his Katarn armor, so who's to say that Scorch couldn't also? Besides, all commandos have grappling and repelling gear in their kits, so that also leans towards the possibility of his survival.
bro got 3 sizeable blaster hits to the chest AND fell off the landing platform..no hes dead.
He more than likely is dead however given what the Bad Batch established in Season 1 in terms of Katarn armour's durability, the writers if they ever choose to say Scorch survived would be able to have an easier time explaining how as opposed to say someone like Ventress if you get me
God i hope this doesn't turn into another tech scenario he's gone and so is scorch
All i want is a dark Delta Squad Show set in the clone wars and lead into the empire which would be really cool
Man people cannot accept death in this show, his death was honestly symbolic that even the best soldiers do not always go out in flames and glory. Look at Nemec; dude was an insane soldier and he was shot in the back.
Clone Commandos have tough armour, but not tough enough to hold up against 5 blasts and fall off a bridge into a rock hard surface.
2 things counteract theory
1. His recovery was not short to come back on duty
2. Probably in anther clone wearing the same armor
Scorch is D.E.A.D.
They only killed scorch and made him fall of the bridge just to make the wideshot of omega running back to crosshair and hunter look clean, in my opinion, scorch should’ve taken at least 4 more shots, and should’ve at least shot 3 shots back at the BB, he didn’t have to hit them, maybe when he was shot he recoiled back and shot with one hand back at the BB in a desperate attempt at returning fire. and like I said he should’ve taken at least 4 more shots, the 5 he initially took then 4 more while he tried to return fire, and the final shot that hits him would hit his helmet, making him fall off the bridge and his helmet falls off at the same time, you wouldn’t see his face, you would just see that his helmet flew off. Thats the way I would’ve liked him to go out. Because tbf the BB was so utterly damaged that he could’ve easily 1 v 4 them
How does scorch die so easy but not wrecker after taking 99% damage
Wrecker wasn't shot in the chest multiple times...

@@JohnSales-ky3ex He was never okay, he was barely pulling through, but I repeat the difference in case you didn't get the simple point of Wrecker didn't get fucking SHOT multiple times in the chest, he might have some broken ribs and some burns from electricity, maybe a concussion. That's not lethal, getting shot multiple times in the chest and falling into the abyss is quite lethal
I think Scorch just forgot to get himself some bacta
maybe we will get a delta squad TV show I know how unlikely that is but I would love to see it
What if those two commandos are boss n fixer in black n white just posted up like damn our brother died here smh
That'd be cool
Ngl I don’t think it’s Scorch. I think originally it was just supposed to be a higher ranked commando clone but ppl wanted it to be Scorch so they put a little nod to it. It’s why you can see even more commando clones with the same markings.
Hemlock refers to him as Scorch in season 3. I think it's safe to say it is indeed Scorch.
I have a bit of a hearing problem so I watch with the captioning on and when answering Hemlock or speaking in general, it definitely says “Scorch” when listing his dialogue
awesome therory, love it
Scorch: I always survive
another easter egg planted to keep people hoping to a delta squad explanation.
Didnt they say during season 1 that it was the lead clone commando at that base. With thier design being an homage to scorch. Pretty sure there was a little controversy with that. And am pretty sure lucasfilms listened to the fans and just called him scorch to get rid of that silly controversy.
Wasnt until season3 he was officially namedropped as scorch.
Think the multiple scorches in that shot as someone else mentioned in the comments, could be a remenant of the original use for that rc design.. or an animation error. Or scorch survived and they just dropped it in in a big wide shot as a little easter egg or whatever...
I own a scorch figure and this looks just like that commando. Scorch lives on!!!

If Ventress is able to come back from the dead after we explicitly see her dead body in Dark Disciple then Scorch can easily come back, as can Hemlock. Death doesn't mean anything anymore in star wars
@@reebonorton4175 Ever since they've brought back all these characters who were supposed to be dead, yeah like you said, death doesn't mean anything in star wars

Right!? If they do any future shows relating to clones post order 66 (They probably won't but if they ever do) It'll be great to have Scorch return if this does turn out to be an intentional easter egg.
The great thing is scorch is one of rex’s spy’s
He’s dead bro got shot several times in the chest. Why would he be there, shouldn’t he be on the med bay?
Clone commander armour is durable bro
Katarn armor is way more durable than regular clone armour. Gregor pretty much survived a head on explosion in TCW. Not to mention in season 1 Scorch actually shoots gregor in the chest a few times and he is fine. Tho the portrayal of the armour is definitely more inconsistent in Bad Batch in later seasons like season 2, where we see Commandos going down from 1 blaster bolt.
@@JT-ih2rx clone force 99 uses the same armour as clone commandos, yet tech died from that fall, but somehow scorch survives??
@@Theworldisscrewed Tech fell from a higher altitude than Scorch did. Also he was wearing less of the Katarn armour than a regular commando by Season 2.
Ur not understanding tho, lets say the armor is protective enough, the writers won’t make him survive cuz he was irrelevant the whole show?
Personally I think it is a mistake tbh since its not hand drawn and such, thinking maybe they even planned he lives but didnt or something.
If there is more than one Scorch model on one scene, I believe that there are more than 1 clone commando with the same design that are also named Scorch.
I think that that the Scorch in Witches of the Mist (CW S3 E14), War-Mantle (BB S1 E14), and Bad Batch S2-S3 are thee different characters who are all named Scorch.
Likewise there has been two clones with the name Fox (the Coruscant Guard Commander, and the 501st Sargent)
Then the multiple Scorch may not be an animation error.
Thrice the pride triple the fall
I think his commando armor might have stopped most 9f the shots. It’s the fall I would worry about
If there was something able to break his fall like trees or water, then he has a higher chance of survival. If it was just flat grassland then our boy could be fucked
I mean, Hunter survived a similar fall back in season 1, so it's not unreasonable to assume that Scorch could do the same.
maybe he sent himself over the edge on purpose so he could get away

He took 4 shots to the chest. Hes dead dude
Gregor took multiple shots to his chest plate in season 1 and was fine. There's a possibility he could have survived considering the bad batch established in it's first season that Katarn armour is capable of providing better protection against blaster fire than a regular trooper's armour

No way he survived they absolutely lit him up and then he fell off the edge. Also most of the shots hit his neck.
None of the shots hit him in the neck, though some landed pretty close. Most of the them hit him in the collar area just below the neck
Gregor was shot multiple times in the chest and was perfectly fine and Hunter survived a fall of a similar height to Scorch and survived without needing medical treatment, Katarn armor is just insanely durable and protective.
It was just a joke
Bro why standing there if he was alive he should have been in a med bay hospital not guarding the place pretty sure that was a error as it is common in star wars animation by Lucasfilm I'm mean im serious
A good question. But Katarn armour is very protective against blaster fire, and as we saw in season 1, it offered a lot of protection against falling large heights

We Star Wars fans love huffing copium
@troopergio I'm a star wars fan myself, but I really think when a character dies they should stay dead
@TheRealSko76 I would agree with you to a certain extent. I think there's some instances where bringing a dead character back could work, but doing it over and over again just feels cheap. Bringing Ventress back makes no sense since we saw her die in a book, and we saw Obi Wan Bury her body. But Scorch falls into a category of "its possible if written in a way that makes sense."
@troopergio Tech had also fallen a great height (despite not being shot) scorch suffered the same fate. To top that off tantiss is all but destroyed, there was probably loads of debris, there's is no way in hell, that scorch survived. Especially considering he was a normal guy, not a jedi or a sith, or had any major plot armour. This is also disney, their not exactly known for doing dead characters justice.
@TheRealSko76 The only difference between Tech and Scorch is that the height Tech fell from was much greater than what Scorch fell from, and we don't know what was at the bottom of Scorch's fall whereas with Tech it was made very clear he was not going to survive. I'm just simply offering a possible solution incase a writer needed to bring back Scorch for whatever reason.
It would have been nice if it was Scorch but it could have just been another clone commando commander. Possibly, the armor we see on Scorch could have just been commander armor, not actually Scorch himself. Disney doesn’t care about Delta squad that much to put them in. Its a harsh theory but it could be true.

Pretty sure he's dead, which sucks, Scorch was always awesome, this seems more like a mistake and I wish they did more with him in the show, or do more with him in future shows set before Bad Batch.
Even though, there's an easy excuse for him to survive if they wanted to, he's just so overdosed on bacta he can survive anything, he can't say no to it after all.
They could even just write his survival to be as simple as "he broke his fall on some trees or conveniently happened to fall into a river. Hunter in season 1 proved that anyone wearing Katarn armour was capable of surviving at least semi high falls. So it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility that he could have made it.
All in all it really depends on how Disney will react to all of the fans who are upset about how Scorch was handled in TBB. I personally don't think anything will come out of it, but one can dream.
@@troopergio I don't think the fall is the problem, the multiple shots to the chest feel worse.
