      Then move. California can't support the millions of people it has anyway. To be clear I don't even like Californians coming into my state as it increases housing cost but it's the smart thing to do. America has TONS of cheaper states then California. Go to Arizona, Mississippi, Georgia, etc. Nevada rents are hella cheap too.

    What will 150 feet do? Half a football field?

    • @AngryAmericanWizard
      @AngryAmericanWizard 19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It'll keep them away from the schools property it's self. If you park in front of a surrounding building 150ft away it'll likely get you towed if it's a business or private parking spot.
      The weird thing to me is these RV's are allowed to be lived in within city limits at all. My city in Kentucky bans living in an RV for tax reasons (they don't want property value issues driving their tax revenue down). If they find out you're using it even as a guest house there's a good chance you'll get a series of fines and eventually have the RV impounded then auctioned off to pay for the fines and fees.

      That'd be slapped down so fucking fast. You do realize there's a ton of NGO's, etc who fight to keep California, Californian. They like it like this, that's why they have the laws they do. You want reasonable laws? Look at a reasonable state, so not California.

    How did we even ever get to this point? (Multiple RV's parking for multiple days being allowed to park on the street). Back in the day friend's and family could occasionally park in front of your house when visiting out of state and no one cared, now they get chastised because they get lumped in with all the dilapidated campers on the streets.

    Homeless people don't have the right to be homeless wherever they choose. We need some places where homeless encampments are allowed, but not in just any city in the country.

      "Home people don't have the right to be homeless wherever they choose."
      I must have missed that day covering the US Constitution. Remember this is America everything is legal until it's not, so what federal law, state law, and/or city law exists that makes it illegal to be homeless?
      My city tried passing such a law years ago and the state supreme court ruled it federally unconstitutional. People do in fact have a right to exist where ever they happen to be, even when they have no home.
      To be clear my city wasn't even trying to ban homelessness it was trying to ban begging; turns out the first amendment applies to even poor people.
      You're kind of a prick. "but not in just any city" Buddy are you seriously saying I should be kidnapped and shipped off from my own community because I lost my job, etc, etc, can't afford rent? I'm not remotely suggesting you should be allowed to squat on government land because you have none of your own. I can agree with the sentiment we should create designated area's where homeless people are encouraged to be, and discourage them from trying to setup a "camp" anywhere in town/city limits. It's just the way you said it, it's like you're suggesting human beings can be moved around like cattle because of their situation which rubs me wrong.

    Make it one mile from any school, church or hospital. Make designated grounds and move all homeless to that location. Complete the task with outhouses and night lighting. Security with cameras.

    • @AngryAmericanWizard

    The homeless encampments will just relocate a block or two away from the schools. Ordinary homeowners will be totally defenseless to do anything about it when these RVs, along with heaps of unsightly trash, are parked smack in front of our homes.

    Why not 25 mile buffer from any school?

    • @AngryAmericanWizard
      @AngryAmericanWizard 19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Because it's be deemed excessive, there is no 25 mile space within city limits that wouldn't apply to. You can just pass a general RV ban saying they cannot be parked on public streets ever, but you can't do an end run around like that and expect the courts not to slap it down. Especially in a place like California which loves to make sure the homeless problem is consistent.

    If you have an RV you aren't "unhouse" aka homeless, you might not have a place to put it, if that's an issue the solution to me is simple, open some damn trailer parks and other places with cheap lot rent. But yeah obviously ban people from setting up a permanent "camp" near schools; how was this ever allowed? Californians man I swear.

    Why is there all of sudden so much credibility and support given to the homeless who are mostly in that situation due to drugs and other bad life choices THEY MADE. And now making demands that the rest of hard working society through tax dollars take care of them, house them, feed them. NO it does NOT work that way, no one is owed anything in life. We all have to work for and take care of ourselves and loved ones. No is responsible to take care of YOU. If you made bad life decisions there are consequences. Something many young kids and people are not taught these days. No one owes you anything. You have the responsibility of working hard to pay for your own bills. Stop burdening rest of hard working society who gets up every morning to work. Also all these so called "non profit" homeless organizations receives a lot of funding. Why is that these non profit org executives paid so much? Of course they are going to push their, "compassionate message" to help the homeless. This is a nice paycheck for them.

    • @AngryAmericanWizard
      @AngryAmericanWizard 19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Oh you've never heard of due process? You have to be reasonable and proportional and seizing someone's home and destroying it for being located where it's not welcome would result in so many problems. You put a ticket on the windshield, you wait until a certain dollar figure is reached then put notice on the vehicle to pay the fine or lose the vehicle. That'd be legal, what you suggested would not. Also how do you know ALL of those RV's aren't registered? Also why would it be tow at the city expense? Tow at the owners expense, add it to the fines; then auction off off the RV's.
      People who want to destroy perfectly good machinery are morons. You're one of those people who think diesel trucks with after market modifications should all be crushed too aren't you? Screw giving the owner a chance to make it right, oh no; you're the kind of guy who thinks the state should be allowed to seize anything it wants and destroy it without proportional cause.
