Not long ago I came across an article reporting the CEO of one of the organizations that manage funding and resources for the homeless pays herself over $400,000. That organization is rich and much less trickles down to the hands-on workers and homeless. But then, this is how we operate as a country.

No kidding and we are still one of the best countries in the world. The world must be really f##### up. You think property owners who make rental income would trade their profits to have more homes available, and more affordable? High supply/ lower prices, high demand/ higher prices. Do you think someone who is making $2000/mo rent, is willing to be making $1000/mo in rent so that people can have a place to live, and afford it? For there to be less homelessness? Hmmm??

BUT….most homeless don’t want to stay in ANY of these places because they don’t want to live by your rules…they want to do what they want to do and when they want to do it….they don’t want to be told they have to find a job….they don’t want to stop taking drugs or drinking alcohol….they don’t want to do the work and then watch their money fly off to neverneverland and then struggle again just to eat…they don’t want that stress…they have quit that never ending game and they want to live free of everything that comes with that lifestyle. Giving them a house won’t solve anything either….they will trash it and still won’t live by your rules.
