They don’t call it the “homeless industrial complex” for nothing.
You’re suppose to make the money accountable before you give them funds. How stupid are they?
They don’t have any money for the homeless. They spent it all. It’s gone
How stupid are you? You just got ripped off.
They aren’t stupid. They’re just all in on the stealing of it.
What do u expect when people vote 🗳 BLUE?!
Oh yes, the non profit industrial complex 👏 👌..and wheres the tiny homes they built already?
Not long ago I came across an article reporting the CEO of one of the organizations that manage funding and resources for the homeless pays herself over $400,000. That organization is rich and much less trickles down to the hands-on workers and homeless. But then, this is how we operate as a country.
That 400k per month and LAHSA even trashed the homeless food daily inside a big dumpster and they are like a pyramid scheme in which the bottom feeders do all the work.
No kidding and we are still one of the best countries in the world. The world must be really f##### up. You think property owners who make rental income would trade their profits to have more homes available, and more affordable? High supply/ lower prices, high demand/ higher prices. Do you think someone who is making $2000/mo rent, is willing to be making $1000/mo in rent so that people can have a place to live, and afford it? For there to be less homelessness? Hmmm??
Yes - and I'm, sure some of the recently approved $6.4 bn CA prop 1 money, all that added fiscal responsibility might push her salary up another $100K.
Audits for all NGOs and gov. agencies
Publish the results
Saying "we don't know where the money went" means that manager needs to be fired.
Private sector knows how to do the accounting and ratio analysis.
There are people getting rich with these programs! Homeless people= money for alot of agencies!
Lot of non-profit organizations like the CEO of LAHSA profit in 400k per month and the Homeless Healthcare Non-Profit Organization giving away methpipes 2 to 3x per week.
Shocking the money is being stolen, not!

Spend more on Homelessness , get more homelessness .
Just throw money into the wind. That’ll work. We voters are worthless. We will not vote incompetence and corruption out because we like being part of a tribe.
Sounds like the Republican party. Willing to throw it all away for a criminal because they like him, and don't understand the consequences.
Exactly.
Vote Republican
@@Nogoingback424 They're not gonna do anything
Loved the San Jose mayor response, yes we’ve pissed away a ton of money but it’s the states fault not mine
I want to see where this money went.
HIC - Homeless Industrial Complex
There's certainly a lot of well compensated individuals and organizations more than happy to receive those funds then trickle down whatever is left to those actually in need.
Corruption, Pay rises.
finally some one is checking were the money is going. I doubt this will go anywhere because a lot of people are pocketing the money that should go to homeless
Should have published BEFORE CA narrowly passed the 2024 Prop 1 to pour another $6.4 Bn down that same drain!
“I’m shocked!”
- no one ever
So they are starting to raise a few eyebrows about where the money is going? Should have done that from the start. What was the tipoff? Was it the San Francisco director of the homeless housing project that was doing interviews with media in fashion designer glasses and clothing? Even a Dummy like me saw something was wrong with that projection, Or was it the Luxury sedans and SUV showing up in the parking garages?
People want a HOME, not a place to stay. LOL. I wanna free home too
We shouldn't be banning the building of housing. Selfish homeowners have created this crisis.
@@sdsk8rboi selfish people in government, NGOs you mean, Homeowners work and buy their homes.
You first have to party, live life on the edge, gamble, get fired, do some crimes instead of a new job, acquire a drug habit, spawn a bunch of neglected children then perhaps you too become eligible for a free home?
@@sdsk8rboi You're ignorant! Drugs and corporations buying up land created this. Those "selfish" homeowners are footing the tax bill.
Those salaried government workers are millionaires by now lol. We just passed another round of spending for this issue btw and our current state debt is sitting at almost 75 billion. As far as permanent housing goes, we need to sincerely think about what that means in terms of recurring spending for the state; we need long term solutions based on transitioning people towards self sustenance and not permanent financial burdens.
You are a genius, Captain Obvious. Everybody knows that. What nobody knows is how to get a drug addicted schizophrenic person who doesn't want to take his medications to become a self-supporting employee with an income that allows him to rent a $3000 per month apartment.
@@lepidoptera9337 seems like the focus should be on mental health instead of the homeless. We have enough social services imo.
@@blanco-sanchez450 Dude, the focus of the professionals is on mental health. Give me a break, man. I am tired of you guys talking about stuff you never even tried to understand in the first place. You are truly tiresome.
@@lepidoptera9337 is that why they’ve been handing out syringes and containing drug sales to the tenderloin? And why, despite increased funding the problem has steadily gotten worse over the past decade? Please enlighten me on how excess funding has proved a raving success.
@@blanco-sanchez450 They are handing out syringes to stop the spread of Hep C. Hep C is treatable today, at the smallish cost of roughly $100,000 per patient. Dude, you are a genius cost saver. You want to replace a 10 cents plastic syringe with a hundred thousand dollar drug treatment. Why don't you buy some Gilead stocks, while you are at it? ;-)
This is money being budget annually, and yet it seems to only sustain the homeless in their current state. We need permanent solutions, or something approaching permanent. Cut off the enabling programs and put the money toward lock-and-key dwelling units.
Oh gee, what a surprise
Love to see San Francisco's results, there is no excuse they aren't keeping track of every dime!
Yes there is. They are stealing it.
Where do we sign up for a free home?
I can absolutely tell you that the money went to "Project Management".
"People want a home, not a place to stay." Well, taxpayers want accountability and outcomes, not endless hands in our pockets!
I'm so darn shocked. No I'm not. Thank you Gavin and team.
Wouldn't it have been cheaper to just use the money to buy homes from the homeless? 🤔
$20,000,000,000 is an awful lot of money for no solution. 🤨
So subsidizing what you don't want without "strings" attached gets you more of it or it does not reduce it in a meaningful way? WOW I'm shocked---NOT.
What strings would you attach? Most of these people simply can't take care of themselves and that's that. Making it harder doesn't work. It just makes it less likely that they will even try.
San Jose has the best programs in the state. Hands down
That money is probably taken by local politicians.....
I'm sure some folks benefited.
Its why that prop barely passed. No one believes you will spend a dime fixing the actual problems like home ownershi.
How about SF? So much $ spent and the city is turning upside down.
It is? Did they have the big earthquake? :-)
They could've boughten them a mansion with that money
Yeah where is the money baby you ain't helping anybody but yourself boom Let It Rock
GRIFT. And we wonder why people vote for Trump.
I don't. I did ask. The ones I got an answer from usually wanted "creative destruction". ;-)
People got high AF with gov support.
More cost-effective to pay each homeless person $10,000 to return to their home state and $1,000 per month to stay there. Just use the KISS principle rather than the high touch, expensive monitored/managed solution.
Lol. What if California IS their home state?
@@ExiledStardust .. Yup - about half are from CA at the last census: (the largest group of transplants to the state were actually college-educated professionals, ranging from 20 to 29, from Illinois, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania).
People I have been talking about preventable deaths for years and I have had a solid plan to solve homelessness since 2021 when will you rally and taste bravery? Let us discuss cost effective tiny homes in rural areas and cheap properties asap!
how about a tiny home in jail?
Mayor Mahan do not have any experience in The State of Homelessness cause' he was just two years in the covid 19 era. and becoming Mayor by the former Mayor Liccardo who did not do anything for San Jose and less for Santa Clara County. He dedicated just making business trips all around California and neve was in San Jose.
It's not going to work
Vote blue no matter who. Look what it gets you.
How stupid are we? We need homes to fight homelessness, not programs programs are bs.
BS!IT,SALLGOINGTOTHEILLEGALS!
Most of the money goes to line people’s pockets all the way down the line….and they keep using more than actually needed to build stuff….meaning they build it for way more than it should actually cost to build it and because of this they build too few of anything. BUT….most homeless don’t want to stay in ANY of these places because they don’t want to live by your rules…they want to do what they want to do and when they want to do it….they don’t want to be told they have to find a job….they don’t want to stop taking drugs or drinking alcohol….they don’t want to do the work and then watch their money fly off to neverneverland and then struggle again just to eat…they don’t want that stress…they have quit that never ending game and they want to live free of everything that comes with that lifestyle. Giving them a house won’t solve anything either….they will trash it and still won’t live by your rules.
Brandon said it’s Trump fault!😂😂
It's stupid to blame the federal government for things that happen at the county level.
Predictably, the comments section is a dumpster fire of hate and lies about homeless people.
How do we learn to be pure and virtuous like you oh wise one?
over all things are getting better off , keep Voting Blue #Biden/Harris
Build homes for those who can afford it. Raises revenue with taxes etc. homeless will not produce anything and we need that now. Build a big shelter place and stored there by the hundreds. Everyone acting like homeless want a mansion or something. A shed would be a start better than what they have.
it is not rocket science.
I’ve been saying it for years, even the former San Francisco mayor admitted to not using the money for homeless but no one cared 😂😂😂
'People want a home'. OK, then quit drinking, doing drugs, get a job and go and and buy/rent one. Just like the rest of us do.
I really don’t think they want a home most them have drug problems or are alcoholic.A lot of these people don’t want to be told what to do.
Most homeless people in California are employed, working 2 or 3 jobs and STILL can't find an affordable place to live because the wages are too low and the rents are too damn high.
It’s on purpose
Not surprise. To those folks who vote for prop 1 really believe. Just look at this and Sacramento homelessness.
People want a home and not a place to stay, I want a mansion and not a studio, work for your sht stop getting hand outs
Vote red save California
Nothing for the suffering homeless! The homeless industry should be defunded, as they are criminals! All NGOs and 501(c)3 , tax shelters. Should be taxed fairly, as should religious organizations. Grifters, scammers overpaid, ever expanding staff. Such a dire situation. Working taxpayers want accountably for such a fraud. We need a church tax to pay for the homeless they target based on race, gender, religion, national origin, agism, disability. ,the abuse of these people is criminal. Want results of homelessness? Mental trauma, hunger, sexual violations, violations of HUMAN RIGHTS, property theft, forced drugging, police brutality, murder, mental illness, forced into dirty shelters unfit for dogs, constant harassment by "staff". Just evil and horror in America funded by City, State, Federal Gov, and religious "charities" scams! There are no jobs for the homeless why? Do you know??
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
HOMELESSNESS IS A VERY BIG MONEY FOR THESE LYING ELECTED CITY OFFICIALS PERIOD😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Nooooo😂
yes, i want a home and that is why i go to work. get off the drugs, get a job and buy your own place to live
"If you build it - they will come! ....like flies on you-know-what!!! WATCH the homeless speak - "This is the BEST place to be homeless...I gets housing vouchers, food vouchers, cash..."
That's a complete fabrication, but ok.
"people want a .... LOT from OTHERS!" I want things and I bust my ass... Bet it sucks being stoned all day... wait
California lol
I'm really thinking about running as mayor of Sacramento. Either as republican or libertarian. Taxes in California are not being used how the politicians say.
Sure, sure. So is every other person after the third beer. ;-)
Work harder! We need your tax dollars.
