How to detangle natural hair. Detangling my special needs daughter’s natural Type 4 hair.
This process isn’t always easy. My daughter is patient now for the most part when it comes to washing and styling her hair but TRUST ME, it hasn’t always been this way. Even now, some day we can only get away with doing a simple ponytail. She has developed more patience for getting her natural type 4 hair washed and styled over the years. So if you have a special needs child, stay encouraged and keep making a good effort to get into a routine and it will likely help them adjust as well. After twisting we typically detangle the before washing it and it helps tremendously during the wash process.
